montgocloud Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 76014 Spider-Man Set 1 – €14,99 / $12.99 76015 Spider-Man Set 2 – €24,99 / $19.99 76016 Spider-Man Set 3 – €48,99 / $49.99 Spider-Man doesn't necessarily mean USM... could one or two of those be based off of ASM2? Quote
Aanchir Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Spider-Man doesn't necessarily mean USM... could one or two of those be based off of ASM2? Depends on whether Mega Brands still has a license for that franchise. If they do, it's off-limits to the LEGO Group. Quote
RelicRaider Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 X-mansion certainly sounds like an interesting set, and considering there will be so many new mini figures to go with it, I think it would be an excellent exclusive, as DC has had the previous two it's time for Marvel to step up. I'd very much like to see that happen, and I think it would be a good substitute for Wayne Manor, despite Batman being my favourite hero and all. DC characters also need to step up, Marvel has more of an ensemble cast in that a lot of their different characters are fan favourites, or equally liked, (Spider-man, Wolverine, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Deadpool, the list goes on,) DC has two main, big guns, and the rest are much less well known. Ask someone who knows almost nothing about superheroes to name all the marvel characters they'd know, and they'd say all of the above in brackets, with the exception of Deadpool probably. I like some of the more obscure DC characters, but they are less well known, and could possibly be alienated by LEGOs target group, meaning they might have to be just inserted into other sets quite randomly. The Joker1 Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 (edited) As much as I would love another D2C set i cant see it happening this year, If the list we have is correct thats almost £300 of sets, In previous years the January total has always been under £280 so adding another £100+ set into the equation wouldnt happen unless Lego were 100% confident with every aspect of selling the wave, As they are with Star wars. Not this year guys... Edited October 14, 2013 by The Joker1 Quote

The Joker1 Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Well maybe not the winter wave, but possibly the summer wave? Just a thought. Hmm, I suppose it's possible. After all we do usually get about £150-200 worth of sets post January wave. However if this were the case i would imagine the accompanying wave would be very small/non existent. Possible though... DJ Bricks Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Depends on whether Mega Brands still has a license for that franchise. If they do, it's off-limits to the LEGO Group. Sony sold the merchandizing rights to Disney last year, Hence why the CC Spidey was an overly detailed version of the ASM2 suit. We may get a set featuring him and movie Electro, Arthur said Elextro second form is based of the movies. So I'm guessing 76016- USM with Spidey, Goblin and two others. 76015-ASM2 with Asm2 Spidey, maybe Gwen And film electro. This is the one that sounded exactly like the ock set, so I'm more. Leaning towards the ASM2 76014 - Spidey and USM Green and Yellow Electro. Quote
Colossus Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 The constant onslaught of vehicles in both the Marvel and DC lines is getting old. One of the things I've seen consistently with my kids is that no matter what theme, whether Ninjago, Monster Fighters, Star Wars, Super Heroes, whatever; they get tired of playing with vehicles after 10 minutes. Now, give them The Haunted Mansion, Bat cave, Death Star, Helm's Deep, and they play for hours. When they get bored with the set, they redecorate or add features like chains to swing from or slides. After going to the arcade the other day my daughter built an air hockey table for the Death Star, and it works. From a price point perspective, play sets are more expensive, and I understand why the smaller sets are vehicles. I just wish there was some way to get smaller play sets that could be assembled into one larger play set like they did with Hogwart's. Smaller price point and more play sets. Quote
strangely Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Not loving Joker's henchmen in the steamroller set. Hoping that head is temporary and not the real thing. The torso is interesting, but not overly exciting. I'm okay with getting henchman, but I sort of expected it to be better than that. Quote
The Joker1 Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 (edited) Yeah the head wont be the batman head, I suspect that is all the guy who stole it could grab from the production tray. Anyway this means there is only 1 character missing from the steamroller (Batman, Knightwing/Batgirl?, Joker, Henchaman and ???) Who do we want as the final character? I would like either killer croc or mad hatter. http://m.flickr.com/photos/hothbricks/10273515664/lightbox/ Edited October 14, 2013 by The Joker1 Quote

SoupOrFishOil Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 That's...disappointing, especially since it probably comes with two of them. Quote

Blakstone Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 I have always been disappointed with Gotham villian's henchmen. That said the new Joker henchmen are the less disappointing I have seen. The only garnish colors are due to the construction vests they are wearing. Of course the head(s) have not been revealed yet. Quote
greeny Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 I don't think it's that bad. The graffiti on the back of the jacket is cute and I hope the minifigure will look good next to the other Joker henchman. Maybe the face for this one will be the same clown mask the other one wore? Quote

CM4Sci Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 I like the torso, it's funny. Hopefully everything else on that figure is changed... -Sci Quote
Santaduckz Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Does anyone else feel like, with all these leaked figs, the set pics are just - JUST - about to burst out? Really liking the new henchman. They could have easily given us the old one, seeing as they is already going to be a bunch of redesigned/ new figs in that set. Quote
RaincloudDustbin Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Im concerned that it will be an anti climax when the set pics are released. I would have much preferred to wait longer to get everything at once! Quote
just2good Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 Meh, never was a fan of these generic henchmen. I wouldn't be surprised if that is the official head. I really wish they'd use these generic licensed characters (example: security guards and henchmen) to release non-fleshie figures like they used to. I'd love to see more tan and black minifigures. Quote
Kez Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 That joker henchman figure looks really nice, I especially like the look of his back printing, although I wonder whether he will have a new face print, and I'm not too sure what hat he will be wearing. Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Hasn't anyone noticed that the henchman pictured has Batman's head ? It's like the Simpson's heads the other day, it's only the torso that's new. Quote

I doubt they're seriously sticking us with this head, but you never know. Quote

Leaning towards the ASM2 76014 - Spidey and USM Green and Yellow Electro. Unfortunately German site Werst has them listed liked this: Marvel (The Ultimate Spider-Man) Marvel Set 1 (76014) – $19.99 Marvel Set 2 (76015) – $24.99 Marvel Set 3 (76016) – $48.99 Also the descriptions are pretty definitive for the Ulitamte Goblin and Doc Ock set. The only one left is the smallest and that has a minifig that doesn't sound like anyone from ASM 2. At this point, I am hoping there is a retailer exclusive or summer set for ASM 2 but I am not very optimistic we will get one. Quote
