That Chima Bat is ugly...I had high hopes for that. Although, those wing pieces do look cool. That does make me worried though. I'd think either the MF wings for Man-Bat or maybe something like these only larger. They would need a bracket to go under the head to make it seamless with the body. The Chima wings clip onto armor and sits out too far from the body to look right since Man-Bat isn't wearing armor ever.

Cosidering Man-Bat is mostly portryed as he wings and arms being the same, the MF piece seems best.

I like the Chima bat, bats are supposed to be ugly so it works. And they look like a good version of. Anthropomorphic. Bats

Winter Soldier wears black......

I don't mind the NinjaGo bandana idea but I think LEGO will probably have his mask and goggles printed on one side of the head and have his face without the mask and goggles on the other side of the head, just like Anakin's in the Freeco Speeder set. They'll probably use the Aragorn hairpiece too because it's popular with long haired minifigs.

Yeah, but thw only pics ive seen of WInter Soldier is he's wearing the googles or not, so thatll be his double sided face.

That bat looks a bit odd. Has that head mould been used before? I think they were just trying to avoid making a new one.

Yea, I couldn't get into the series for that same exact series. Characters like the Joker or Riddler have always been the central villains for stand-alone Batman cartoons. I just couldn't get excited for a new series that wouldn't even feature those characters.

TBH, I wasn't much of a fan, so I won't be missing it. Just goes to show, it's difficult to make a show like that work without A-list villains.

The 3D models didn't really work for me. And the style wasn't really my cup of tea either. Also, Batman's face. :P

Anyway, I think this is better suited to the batman thread in the community section.

Well I'm glad it's cancelled. Didn't like that awful animation or that writing. Hopefully this means that the Riddler chase and it's crappy BTB Batmobile and Batman variant will be the only set to feature elements inspired from the show.

*Edited to clarify that I was referring to the Batmobile and Batman, not the Dragster itself.

I watched it, I liked it, and there was no Riddler dragster in the show. That beauty was inspired by something else. Personally I'd rather have the whole wave inspired by BTB. I like almost all of the various Batman incarnations ever done, and I could do without a dragster and a steamroller.

When I said "Riddler Dragster" I was referring to the set 76012 because I couldn't remember the actual name of the set, I should have been more clear. I'm referring to the Batmobile and Batman variant in the set, which are indeed BTB.

I don't think this is the place to discuss the TV show, so I wont comment on that in here.

Regarding the Riddler dragster, I'm pretty sure it's something that TLG made up, just like the steamroller, since major villains like the Riddler were never planned to appear in BTB. And even if Riddler was going to appear in the show, I doubt that he would be driving a dragster and wearing a racing jumpsuit.

By the way, there is going to be a Bat Tribe in Chima next year. Could it be that Man-Bat will use the same new head and wing molds? It would explain the "flying device" that Man-Bat is rumored to have on his back, and the head shape would be more accurate for Man-Bat too. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the case, but personally I'm not a fan of the look of these Chima Bats, so I'm kinda hoping I'm wrong on this. :sceptic:

I hope Manbat has a different look too. I'm okay with larger wings on the back, but the Chima aspect only works because of the armor they attach to. For an ordinary person that doesn't wear armor, they sit too far from the body to look very good. I think that is why the CMF/MF bat worked so well. Granted, I wouldn't mind seeing something different than that also. I'd expect something large like these, but in a more minifigure form, which I'm guessing would cost too much money for a pointless mold. They may want to get more use out of this new bat head mold. I guess we will see.

The CMF wings would look better, but the limit the use of the arms. I'm not sure there's a good solution other than these two options.

Edit: I didn't think about those Batman wings- that would be the best solution.

I was originally thinking of the batman wings in a dark brown, but I'd want to see something more not in flight I guess. Something more curved. But those could work quite well since they have the mold and it puts it near the body. It would separate the wings from the arms though and that wouldn't be exactly how he is portrayed.

Yes, they made it up. Again, I was trying to point out that the Batmobile and Batman variant featured in the Riddler Chase are based on BTB and that I'm glad that it's likely the only BTB inspired content we'll ever see in set form. I never said the Riddler dragster was in the show. I just said the set featured elements from the show (The Batmobile and Batman variant). I will change my initial post to clarify that.

They could use the new head mold but give him either the MF arms or the wings they gave Batman last year. Either of those would look better than forcing Manbat into armor.

I agree with this completely. Putting armor on Man-Bat and having his wings stick out of his back instead of be on his arms as they should would be just wrong. The Bat-jetpack wings would still be acceptable, so if he does have something on his back, I hope it's that piece, although the Manbat arms would be ideal.

I understand, and I agree with you.

They could finally do this piece with two studs on the back.

Would be useful to give characters wings because that requires two studs and sticking 1x2 plates on the pic-related pieces is too unstable.

The Chima head is a bit too over designed and cartoony. I am pretty sure it doesn´t match any version of Man-Bat. Normally he is portrayed with no nose and a very flat face. Monster Fighters ear/hairpiece fits much better.

I agree. CMF head with batman wings would be the best solution, in my opinion.

After thinking about it some more I suspect we'll see the Marvel game's version of Storm in a set next year (We are rumored to get an X-men set I recall). After Aquaman this year we know that if Lego has made that minifigure for real then the actual design sometimes ends up in the game (Scarecrow, Penguin and Mr. Freeze show it doesn't always happen, so take that for what it is). And after looking at Storm she seems like the most likely X-men character from the game that could make a practical figure. First off she has printing that could actually be printed on a minifigure unlike Gambit, Cyclops and many others who utilize crazy amounts of detail including leg printing and arm printing that reach all around. Storm has leg and arm printing, but unlike the others it's pretty simple and we've seen printing like that on actual minifigures (It seems like she was actually designed by TLG, while many of the others seem very much like they were designed by the game company). Second, it suddenly hit me that she is really the only X-men character in the game that doesn't use the 90's cartoon as inspiration (At least as far as I can tell). Why on Earth would all of the games X-men characters be based around the TV series but out of nowhere Storm is not? She stands out as different, so that suggests to me we might see her as an actual minifigure.

Really it could be coincidence as well, but I thought I might as well put the thought out there and see if anyone else thinks it's possible. If anything I'm at least curious on people's thoughts as to why Storm's look would be pulled from a source different than the rest of the X-men minifigures.

How about the new bat chima head with different printing and the monster fighter bat men arms holding the new wings, giving Manbat large wings.
