DJ Bricks Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Ok, I've seen prelims of the two other sets we haven't seen yet: -76017: Includes Captain America on a red motorcyle (different than the last one, think Mutt Williams) Red Skull (red head, black body) and some green guy with yellow hands. The vehicle is olive green and has 8 wheels. It's some sort of terrain vehicle, as the background is set in a snowy area. Two long antennas in the back. -76018: MODOK (head is a huge 3D minifigure head in grey), Falcon, Thor in a prison cell similar to the Helicarrier Breakout set, and some purple/orange guy in a black robe holding a shield and sword. Overall, it looks really blocky and there's studs everywhere. Black stairs leading to the prison cell on the right side, a yellow railing, and a huge breakable wall in the middle, which Hulk is bashing through. There's also some sort of yellow robot drone with 4 legs. -Sci Sweet. Sucks that the Cap set isn't based on the upcoming film, sound like the last guy is a HYDRA Agent. Guy in the other set sound like Dracula or Taskmaster( i think that's it due to the white hood leaked earlier) Quote
wesker Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Awesome news about Red Skull and the HYDRA Agent. I'm a bit disapointed we won't be seeing the Winter Soldier though, unless Lego pulls an Iron Patriot on us. Quote
Piranha Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Both those sets sound like they are based on the Avengers Assemble cartoon. Which is a huge disappointment. What were they thinking not making a single set for Winter Soldier, Thor the Dark World or Amazing Spider-man 2? CM4S, was Falcon red or black? Quote
DJ Bricks Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 How much different is USM Season 2 Ock from the existing one? Heard something of an eyepatch. If that´s the case they could have just made the old USM Ock as a stand-in. I hope it will be the one from the game in this set. Still not sure if it would be a good idea to use the games arms instead of the click arms. On one hand he surely can´t balance on the game arms but they look so much better. Different goggles , mostly grey with red plus signs for lenses. Yep, 76017 is Captain America vs. Hydra, and 76018 is Hulk's Lab. Oddly enough, they say they're featured in a film that's out May 2014. Probably and aminimated movie Quote

just2good Posted October 28, 2013 Author Posted October 28, 2013 Did Thor have his helmet? Thor doesn't have a helmet, but it's preliminary. The set he's in is with Hulk, and it's literally a breakout set. Like, Hulk is breaking a wall. Quote
hockeyboy89 Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 After watching the new video about the lego movie, I noticed green lantern is the same as the comicon version Quote

I thought it was arnim zola. Maybe the robe is a stand in for his newly molded head? Edited October 28, 2013 by Freddy Bricker Quote
Ultron Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 (edited) Venom isn´t that iconic a villain and even still available in the exact same form. This is just the inferior version of the Nick Fury set. Are you joking? Venom is probably spiderman's greatest foe and definitely one of marvel's most recognizable villains.. Doesn't quite explain the sword and shield though. Both characters appear in the video game so it will be interesting to see which one it will be. Quote

In the pictures, it shows a guy in a hood with a shield and a sword. He has generic printing, but they're preliminary so... yeah. Quote

Wow, after thinking about it, this is the first time Lego can't do anything to dissapointment me with the minifigure selection of a set! Then again, this is my first year keeping up with Lego and all of its wonders. Quote

I mean the description states he's wearing orange and purple, but when I look at Taskmaster from the game I'm seeing a blue and white guy with some orange on the shield. Also in the description it's stated he's wearing a black robe which is completely the opposite of the white robe of Taskmaster. But I don't think it's Zola either since he's not wearing robes at all. At this point I really don't think there's enough information to make a definite statement of who it is. Quote

djmangunz Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 I could have sworn someone said that the Winter Soldier was in one of the Avengers sets. Sounds like that dream has been crushed. Quote
RelicRaider Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Looking good for new avengers sets. And it does sound more like Zola than TaskMaster to me. Still can't wait for X Men sets though. XD Quote
wesker Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 The X-Men are still my most anticipated Superheroes sets for next year. Hopefully it won't just be the one set like it was for 2012. Quote

He has generic printing, but they're preliminary so... yeah. Just a thought it could be baron zemo as he wields a sword and has a purple costume not sure about the orange though. Then again zemo isn't usually wearing a cloak or carrying a shield. To be quite honest it would be a shame if it is Zola as he is a pretty pathetic villain and not one well known or cool enough to kids to highline a set as it's villain even in a supporting role. Task master seems likely due to the purple could've been mistaken from dark blue which task master wears and the orange has been part of his costume from the beginning. It is a shame though I was hoping to at least see Malekith in perhaps his tdw costume in the set it seems a bit odd to throw in Zola or taskmaster who are not the most well known characters of marvel over villains like Malekith, Zemo or any other well known villain we do not yet own. Just a thought but caped in orange and purple could be: http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20080504163935/marveldatabase/images/a/a4/Hobgoblin.gif with the black standing in for the orange cape and hood! That'd be superb!!! Apart from that I have no ideas unless the purple and orange are stand ins for something else. Quote

North Lego Star Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Really dissapointing year for Superheros to say the least. The Junior sets are really useless and just a waste of sets. Concering The DC sets, I think there all alright, but don't have any wow factor to them, I'm also really upset Lego just gave us another Robin instea of a new or updated villain to fight along with the Joker. As for the Marvel sets, there certainly not anything new or exciting, Same old Tri Cycle, Bank Robber and stupid Vehicle lego gives us. I also hate that there's a lcak of villains in these sets, like the Spider Helicopter, I want someone to fight along side Green Goblin, a Vulture or even puting Electro in that sets and putting Sand Man would have been a much better choice by lego. I'll probably end of picking up the small spider man set this year, but unless we got something worth wild that's it for me. Quote

What sort of shield/sword was it? Was the purple and orange split so the legs had orange bits and the torso purple or was it sort of just distributed through the design. What fleshie head did it use? Did the face have any expression? I can't put my finger on who this is as none of my thoughts seem to match up an image of a character with the character you describe. Unless did he look like this guy? http://images1.wikia...Hobgoblin.gifI The Fleshie could be a stand in for olive green face and the black hood and cape could be a stand in for a purple hood and cape. Just a thought there. Edited October 28, 2013 by legofreak86 Quote
