just2good Posted October 29, 2013 Author Posted October 29, 2013 (edited) Oh and this is interesting... In the Marvel section, right under the Avengers sets, there's some info. Interesting part is that it says, "Support of part of Marvel / Sony on the occasion of the distribution of Spiderman 2 in theaters" and "Film in theaters May 2014!" They still have the USM and Avengers logo, though. Also, for the top right corner art on the Avengers sets, it's the same as the 2012 one except Iron Man is the one from the Iron Man 3 corner art. Freddy Bricker Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 So just2good, what was the color scheme for Hulks lab? I bet right about now these questions are bugging you, so lets just hope you're patient Quote

I bet right about now these questions are bugging you, so lets just hope you're patient It's fine! I'm busy but bored, so this kind of spices things up. I may just end up sketching the sets if I have time, but it's navy blue, yellow (for the rails and robot container thingy), grey, and black. There's even some trans blue and a red dish at the top of Thor's container or whatever. I'm bad with LEGO color naming, though. Quote
Piranha Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 We will probably never get a minifig that looks like the ASM SDCC one, as exclusive SDCC merchandise is usually under contract not to be produced and released outside of SDCC. They did release the 2011 NYCC Superman in a set. They also used the 2011 SDCC Batman print design in a set. Not to mention Venom had the exact torso from the 2012 SDCC black suit Spider-man. Azog too. I think we will get the 2013 SDCC ASM 2 fig in a set, but with no leg printing. That would differentiate it enough from the exclusive. Oh and this is interesting... Thanks for answering my questions. This is interesting, and lends more credence to getting ASM 2 Spidey as a minifig in the Doc Ock set. The Avengers logo is the MCU one? I wonder if the Cap set is based on the "First Avenger"? Disney got the rights to those films recently. Quote
just2good Posted October 29, 2013 Author Posted October 29, 2013 (edited) Describe the Hydra set Justin? XD It's preliminary, so it's very basic, but I don't like it. It has four wheels on each side, a vehicle made out of 3x1ish slopes, and then there's a very small part where Hydra is at with some flick and fires. Hydra is a dude with a basic green face, green torso, and green hands, while Red Skull has basic red face, black torso and legs, and dark grey hands holding the cosmic cube. Cap has the 2012 face print, but a blank dark blue torso and legs, with the same 2012 hands on a basic avenging cycle. The Avengers logo is the MCU one? Yep! CM4Sci Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 I am terrible at drawing things like this, but I drew a sketch of what the Cap set looks like: Basically what I and J2G described before. Sorry if it's not enough! If people want one of the Hulk set, I can do that too. -Sci Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 That looks a lot like the tanks from the movie. Quote
just2good Posted October 30, 2013 Author Posted October 30, 2013 That looks a lot like the tanks from the movie. Wow, yeah, it's definitely based off that vehicle, except it's in Chima crocodile green I believe. Again, I'm not good with colors. Quote
Lego-Dark-Knight0518 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Wait, by any chance were the Hulk's pants purple? Quote
CM4Sci Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Wait, by any chance were the Hulk's pants purple? Nope, he's completely green. -Sci Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Couslon might be the easiest purist custom to create in the world of purist customs...just sayin'. Nope, Coulson needs an open suit torso in black. We either have it black and closed or in a stupid color like sandblue or tan and open. That MJ is from the comics, this is Mj in USM.As for PM, he looks like the USM version, but he may have hair(partly due to the prelims) and the game developers just want Cage bald like he is almost always depicted The developers don´t change existing figs to their wishes. If they did People like Nova and Electro would have leg and back printing and Labcoat Doc Ock wouldn´t have green legs with a white front but have the white of the coat go around the whole leg piece. The developers saw the sets for sure specifically so they put the content in the game. Mary Jane may not look like from the show but they probably don´t care just like how Nick Furys fig has a blue shirt and he wears it only for a 1 minute scene. Besides, the pieces they use in the prelim mock-up fit the games fig. The Avengers logo is the MCU one? I wonder if the Cap set is based on the "First Avenger"? Disney got the rights to those films recently. The green Hydra Soldier already gives away that it isn´t the movie but seeing that tank design and the Mutt Williams style motorcycle I just hope this set takes place in the past with glorious First Avenger Cap costume. But then again, doesn´t this set sound a bit like the first episode of the Assemble cartoon? Quote
Lego-Dark-Knight0518 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Nope, he's completely green. -Sci Seeing that they are preliminary, I hope they're purple in the final product. Quote

CM4Sci Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I'm currently sketching the Hulk set, but I noticed something. The Spider-Copter set doesn't have a net, and the flick fires are on the net side. I'll upload it soon! -Sci Quote
just2good Posted October 30, 2013 Author Posted October 30, 2013 Looks a lot like the S.H.I.E.L.D. APC from the game It's not like that. Similar... outline, but don't expect it to be like that. CM4S nailed it with his drawing. Quote

This looks about as close as Lego will ever get to a modern military theme. Quote
CM4Sci Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Here's the Hulk Lab set: Not any better, but there are a lot of studs exposed where I pointed. There's chunks of the blue/grey wall flying in front of Hulk, but I couldn't draw them. MODOK is on his flying throne thing. Yeah. -Sci Quote
namioik Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I hope the Hulk Lab is display worthy! The ONLY Marvel Superhero set worth displaying would be the Quinjet. Everything else is average at best Quote
Clone OPatra Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I've got to say I love these sketches. They may be 'sketchy,' but I can perfectly picture what LEGO they convey. They're a lot nicer than those awful computer-render prelims, honestly Quote
Captain Nemo Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Ooo! Yes, thanks for the drawings. They are very helpful in showing what's been said. I'm actually more excited by those two then the ones we've already seen. Are these two sets suppose to be released at the same time as the others--anyone? Anyone? Quote
