What, really? They're not all actors in costumes? I thought it was the actual actor being held by an actual giant.

But they are people in costumes! Don't you remember the original announcement of the movie, where it was said that it would be partially live action? Get your facts straight, people.

If this was made in a set it would be awesome:

This movie is going to be amazing.

Oh yes. This is going to be... Awesome.

In other news I got the Unikitty LED light. It's so adorable!!!

Seeing how it uses the helmet that appears in the sets, I could see this being a promo! Maybe with the DVD or something.

Indeed! What's that from?

Man, just the promos and polybags and whatnot from this theme are going to kill me, never mind the boxed sets and the Minifigures...

Don't know if anyone else has noticed but, Emmet doesn't have any pupils.

That has been noted a couple times.

I think that's because Emmet's face is based off the original minifigure head, just with eyebrows.

He is based off the original mini fig.

Benny in his formal suit would make for an AWESOME DVD exclusive. However, I'm thinking they'd make an Emmet variant such as his robot disguise.

I'm still bummed that I can't get a Wild West Emmet unless I preorder a game for a platform I don't own.

The Flash is a pirate. Huh.

Hey, that comes pretty close to the unofficial Benny minifigure I made. I guess I can save my $90!

Looking at that now, it certainly appears to be a recently-produced simulation of an aged figure, rather than an actual aged figure, but also not one used as a stop-motion puppet (if there is indeed any actual stop-motion in the movie at all; presumably we'll find out for sure from the movie's credits). I'm therefore going to assume this is a production Benny the Spaceman minifigure, as he'll appear in the lovely neo-Classic spaceship set (and that TLG gave him to Chris Miller the same way they gave the major cast members of The Hobbit copies of their characters' minifigures). The bit of dust that's on him and the way the light is hitting him in the picture probably makes this Benny figure look older than it actually is.

I agree, I noticed that fig is missing the scuffs the movie Benny has on his helmet, in addition to the CS logo having a 'digitized' look (the wear looking like printed pixels).

These pictures of Emmet and WyldStyle dressed up also appeared on Wikia just a few minutes ago. I'm not sure where they came from, but I'll look into it.

Edit: I've been told that they are "Somewhere on Lego.com." Scavenger hunt, anyone?

They're from the Emmet Awards, something they're doing with monthly contests.

Great find. Emmet can be recreated with the CMF magician, and Wyldstyle is a sort of variant of her WIld West outfit, but the Benny outfit is completely new and just fantastic. They could do a whole series of Benny figures or sets and I'm sure people would snap them up. It would be great if a Benny Tuxedo figure is eventually made.

I noticed something interesting at the beginning of this clip.......

Bottom right corner of the viewing screen, a gas station which is a direct copy of this.......

Now I wonder if any thing else especially in the sets might have some real life inspiration ?

Very interesting idea and minifigs (TUXEDO BENNY! ), but this part of the description interested me:

"Whether it's uploading cool creations, or using our awesome new Movie Builder, each contest will have five nominees selected."

So, what is this Movie Builder thing? :look:

Maybe a gallery. By the way they made Wyldstyle to sexy I am not a pervert but Lego.....

Maybe a gallery. Buy the way they made Wyldstyle to sexy I am not a pervert but Lego.....

That's a bit weird... But to be fair, she is voiced by Elizabeth Banks.
