I don't think so I am sure I saw emmet on a hang glider but I cant find it now

Edit: its in the trailer

and 70808 is Super Cycle Chase as we have seen the box

Thought it might help to put set names and costs together so what we know so far if it is true?

LEGO® Movie 70800 Escape Glider $15

LEGO® Movie 70801 Melting Room $15

LEGO® Movie 70802 Pursuit $25

LEGO® Movie 70803 Fool('s?) Palace $20

LEGO® Movie 70804 Ice machine $30

LEGO® Movie 70805 Waste Crusher $30

LEGO® Movie 70806 Castle Cavalry $30

LEGO® Movie 70807 MetalBeard's Duel $35

LEGO® Movie 70808 Super Cycle Chase $50

LEGO® Movie 70809 Lord Business' Hideout $70

so for $15 we wont be seeing batmans 4 seater plane thing, sorry I wanted that one too

Ah okay, cheers man! :classic: I remembered after I posted that. Still, maybe we will see that sweet Bat-Wing in the later wave! :D

Interesting set list. I was afraid the set names would be very spoilerific...but "Pursuit", "Ice Machine", "Waste Crusher"? All very odd names that don't reveal much in the way of plot, provided these are accurate translations.

Yep! That design just screamed 'set material' to me. I mean it's small and features with the three 'core' main characters, so it seemed a good choice. For reference:

Looks pretty interesting parts-wise, what with all the 1x2 bows, clip w/ hole parts, cattle skull horns, and chicken used as decorative element! :head_back:

On a related note, this caught my interest.

LEGO® Movie 70801 Melting Room $15

This set sounds like it'd portray a scene shown in the trailer:

See how Emmet's strapped into some kind of torture device here? It's possible that this is the 'Melting Room' mentioned in the title, and the set would be of a machine featured in this part of the movie.

I would be entirely surprised if we're gonna see a large classic spaceship in that series

Given the fact that the directors mentioned there would be several large sets made/released for this movie (starting at 16:12), it wouldn't be too far-fetched to believe that the Batwing seen in the trailer or a large classic space ship will be released as part of a possible second wave.

These sets sound really good! I'm also thankful for the cheaper prices- I've already got enough Lego purchases to make next year

70805 Waste Crusher – €29,99

70806 Castle Cavalry – €29,99

70807 Metalbeard’s Duel – €34,99

I'm really excited for these ones :sweet:

But in the movie design Emmet has no way of holding on to that glider, minifig hands do not attach into the chain part. I suppose you could attach Emmet to the gilder with a neck bracket and transparent pieces, but would that be sturdy enough for play, or look acceptable?

I wonder If Metal beards a Robot Pirate, like the robot police ?

You can see a glimpse of him here. He is a robot cowboy it looks like. So I am guessing that set will be a Western one, similar to what was shown in the trailer.

Is Metalbeard is a pirate or a cowboy?

He's a robot cowboy. I'm hoping that the 'Metalbeard duel' set includes some nice looking Western elements! Or maybe it's a half western half sci-fi set :oh:

It is odd that Lego would have something in the movie that they plan to make into a set and to have something like this that does not work, they could have easily given him a bar to hold on to.

Those sound much better (for obvious reasons), but I really like how that particular set sounds. I don't know why. I doubt it's an Ice Cream Truck, but one can hope.

Those names and proposed prices sounds very worthwhile. I think these sets are what I am most looking forward to. The castle set will have multiples purchased if they are using vintage designs (meaning crusaders or black falcon). But they might have kingdoms instead.

New Metalbeard figure should have (?) a new special piece of beard-like moustache - this was my dream since I first tried to build a minifigure of a Zaporozhian Cossack

Went to the movies with C3Brix & xviloria last night and they had a huge & hugely awesome cutout for The LEGO Movie. The top center was a hole to put your face in (and they even had a small step for little kids to reach, aww) Then there were Emmet, Wyldstyle, Vitruvius, Batman, Wonder Woman, Bad Cop/Good Cop, 1980-Something Space Guy and... LORD BUSINESS!!! Aside from the double coffee mug helmet I think this is the first time I've seen him clearly.

LORD BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unibrow at no extra charge! nice Lphone =-) by murphquake, on Flickr

More pix in the set (anyone know how to get the board to not automatically make an annoying slideshow box when you post a link to a flickr photo set?)

Nice find murphquake! That hairpiece is pretty interesting. Like Aanchir once pointed out, he's supposed to be a very goofy villain, so it really suits him well.

Great to see a clear picture! Btw you might wanna note that most theaters let you put your name on a list to receive promotional material after the movie has made it's run. The Lego poster would be a unique addition to any collection!

I didn't know that. I'll send a email to theaters here in Portugal asking if it's possible.
