It also sounds like 'gorgonzola', which I think is the main purpose.

Which is known for being an unpleasant-sounding cheese! But let's put the conspiracy theories aside and discuss the sets!

I asked on the LEGO Facebook page and the admin said the photos are coming soon. I agree as I am on the fence about buying the current recycling truck for my modulars. I like the minifigures in TLM set but I don't know if the regular build is as functional as the current set.

Ah, thanks for the info!

I assume the western plane will be able to "transform" into a saloon, and the mini plane into a kabob stand? Haha but seriously that's probably what will happen, I mean.... just look at the sets and images.

That's what I figured, but I'm interested in whether they'll be semi complete buildings or literally just fronts, like they used in old movies and stuff. I think someone mentioned something like that earlier in the thread.

Hey, LEGO. That space ship is going to be a set, right? I mean you wouldn't feature 80's Something Space Guy with an awesome Neo-classic Space ship on a movie poster just to mess with me, right? Because that would be incredibly cruel, LEGO. I don't think you would do that to me. Right?

Can we gleem anything from the game box?

original.jpg

I'm starting to think that the piece on Emmet's back is new. Stud on one end and circular hole on the other? And it must have a square or circular hole in the center to attach to the back bracket. Is such a piece useful?

I wonder if we will get a police horse with that cool headgear. And it looks like the sets will have the shooting guns that were revealed in the 2014 Star Wars sets.

The ship flying in the left appears to be the Ice Cream Truck.

The images aren't showing up correctly but descriptions for more sets and characters and whatnot are on the site.

Sets:

THE FLYING FLUSHER

Wash away the Micro Manager with The Flying Flusher! Use all your creative skills to convert the regular plumber’s van, with its tools, ladder and portable toilet. The Micro Manager is chasing a civilian so you need to work fast. Take off and track down the robot. Target it through the toilet seat, fire the flick missiles and give it a soaking with your wing water-sprayers. Includes 3 minifigures: Plumber Joe, Alfie the Apprentice and Dr. McScrubs.

CREATIVE AMBUSH

Construct a wacky Wild West saloon battle craft with wing-mounted shooting cannons, boosters and more in Creative Ambush. Take off and play a tune on the piano as you drop bombs in the robot’s way and protect the civilians. And it’s kebabs away and last orders for the Micro Manager with the flying kebab stand! Use your creative skills to build a flying kebab stand with control levers, jet wheels, side boosters and tasty kebab flick missiles. Includes 4 minifigures: Kebab Bob, Sudds Backwash, Rootbeer Belle and Executive Ellen.

RESCUE REINFORCEMENTS

Double trouble! Ambush the biggest Micro Manager from the ground and air with the fire mech and windmill helicopter. Unleash the fire mech’s spinning water cannon to give the evil robot a drenching. Rev up the windmill helicopter’s propellers and zoom into the sky. Use the chicken binoculars to locate the Micro Manager, and throw apples and drop carrots through the hatch. Includes 5 minifigures: Blaze Firefighter, Hank Haystack, Robo SWAT, Fabu-Fan and Blacktron Fan.

Worlds:

CLOUD CUCKOO LAND

A land up in the clouds where there are no rules, no limits, no bushy mustaches and no bedtimes. Reached by traveling up a rainbow and home to the sweet and plucky Princess Unikitty, Cuckoo Land is built from every kind of piece using every type of LEGO imagination. Unknown to most, it is also the secret meeting place of the Master Builders.

MELTING ROOM

Not much can hurt a minifigure…not much except the Melting Room! In this clandestine chamber, Bad Cop and his army of police robots use secret technology to try to melt the Piece of Resistance off of Emmet’s back, whether he wants them to or not. He’d better hope someone shows up to help him out in a hurry!

Characters:

METALBEARD

A fierce LEGO Master Builder with the head of a pirate and the body of a multi-purpose utility knife. He is bent on finally defeating Lord Business after failing badly the last time they tangled.

UNIKITTY

Hailing from Cloud Cuckoo Land, the capital of rainbows and puppies, she is half unicorn, half animé kitten and one endless dance party. She is happy to join her fellow LEGO Master Builders in the quest to defeat Lord Business, but she also has a powerful secret.

BENNY

This ‘70s era spaceman suffers from a cracked helmet and lack of oxygen. His first love will always be spaceships but he will do anything to help his fellow LEGO Master Builders.

CHEF GORDON ZOLA

The head chef of the ritziest restaurant in all of Bricksburg. His recipe book contains precise instructions for preparing everything from giant turkey legs to pizza pies, which is easy when everything is made of plastic and the ovens don’t turn on. Chef Gorgonzola secretly dreams of a day when he will be able to experiment with creating his own new and original dishes, but as long as President Business is in charge, he knows that he has to keep making everything according to the rules.

ROBOT SWAT

The Special Weapons and Tactics robots are the most elite units in President Business’s mechanical police force. They obediently follow Bad Cop’s orders in hunting down Master Builders, smashing their way into unlawful meeting places and locking up any fugitives they capture. They’re tough and logical, but they have absolutely no imagination, so they’re easy for a creative Master Builder to fool if there aren’t too many of them in one place.

Thanks 'jamesster' for the descriptions. So I guess the Wild West Plane truely doesn't have Johnny Thunder.... What a shame.

I don't know why people thought it would... "western" has never been his schtick.

Indeed, but the plane looked like something from his era. I just really want JT.

That guy with the brown bowler hat is Sudds Backwash. The only missing LEGO Movie minifigures in physical form are Benny, Michelangelo the artist, Traffic Enforcer, Unknown Cowboy with 10-gallon hat since there's already a Batman minifig that is from the LEGO Movie.

So I'm guessing this picture of Benny on the characters page is the version we'll eventually see in a set:

Never mind, he's awesome! The blue looked too blue, I didn't like it at first.

Nice find! I think you're right. He's adorable! He looks a lot like the movie version, but not to the point where people will think he is a production error. It's just so weird that he won't be in any of the January sets. Oh well, I'm guessing he'll be in the Summer sets.
