antp Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 When I was younger, I'd let my dad put the stickers on sets, since he had a steadier hand than me and could get them straight (and in the case of STAMPs, he'd take a knife to the point where the bricks met so that the set could be taken apart). My dad was doing the same :D But I still do not like STAMPs. Other stickers have pros and cons: for sets that I buy just for parts, I am happy when they use stickers as the parts are more easily re-usable. But for sets that I keep the problem is stickers is that they do not stay well when they age... Quote
TheLazyChicken Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 These sets are dirty cheap! I was expecting for the pursuit set to be $25. Anyways, this sets are on my wishlist. Quote
danth Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 On another note, there's a gap in the numbering: no 70810. Could that set number be reserved for an exclusive? Possibly one featuring Benny? I'm beginning to think a Benny set would be too good to be true. Quote
jimoakley666 Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 I don't know if anyone has posted this yet, but you can see the alternate builds here http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-movie-official-box-art-images/ Quote

Lordofdragonss Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Wow, indeed the prices are VERY good. I can see myself buying a castle one time to time. 424 pieces with 3 minifigs? Glorious! Quote
SpiderSpaceman Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 A unique mustache element that you can attach to any minifig! it's going straight on my spiderman My spidey-stache is tickling! Quote
obsidianheart Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 it's going straight on my spiderman My spidey-stache is tickling! This is the best thing I've read in a while. Just sayin'. Quote

But for sets that I keep the problem is stickers is that they do not stay well when they age... Yeah, that's part of the reason I like recent sets. The only set I've had with any STAMPs in several years was the Maersk train, and it had just one (the new Maersk ship also has them — I kind of wonder if Maersk has some sort of policy against splitting their logos and trademarks into separate sections). I don't know if the aging problem is as big a deal as it used to be, either. I guess there's no way to find out for sure until the stickers in recent sets have actually had time to age. But the stickers from my Power Miners, Atlantis, and even Exo-Force sets are still in good shape unless I've been foolish enough to try removing and re-applying them. Quote
Starrocks923 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 All the sets are on S@H now, all listed for Dec 29th! -Sci But where's the CMF series 12? That Fire truck...mech...thing, whatever it is, has a code on the front for the LEGO Movie video game. Gee. I wonder what it does! :P Quote

I wonder what it does! :P Nice spot on the video game code. LEGO Minifigures - The LEGO Movie Series, which I'm guessing is what you mean by Series 12, is listed right online here. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Here's a picture of one of the lego movie minifigures, he's in the rescue reinforcements set. Quote

Dr Leg O Brick Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Anybody else think that Bad Cops Pursuit looks like a good Space Police 3 vehicle? These look great, these are so many times better than I thought, and cheaper too! Quote
kermit Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Will the fire mec be able to be rebuilt into a fire truck?. So far I only see three sets that say 2 in 1 build. Quote
Captain Settle Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Will the fire mec be able to be rebuilt into a fire truck?. So far I only see three sets that say 2 in 1 build. I don't know about the fire mech, but I count 4 2 in 1 builds: Castle Calvary, the ice cream van, the plumbing van and the trash compacter. Quote
Only Sinner Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Sorry, I just couldn't help but make this This made me LOL for real. Quote
Blakstone Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Has someone find their sigfig? LOL. What amazes me about these sets is the level of detail in the minifigs and the williness to create new ones. It seems that the City theme very rarely gets new minifig designs. I wonder if the designs for the Recycling Truck will be used in City going forward. And this guy in overalls is more detailed than ones in overalls in the regular City Recycling Truck... though his outfit would not be professional. Quote
JeagerEX Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 In the future, will have a sets that features Benny and Batman? Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 In the future, will have a sets that features Benny and Batman? No word on them yet, but Benny's probably going to show up. And I'd like to think TLG would be smart enough to NOT include Batman in yet another set. Quote
Lego Spy Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 (edited) And I'd like to think TLG would be smart enough to NOT include Batman in yet another set. Hmm, I don't know. Given that he's in the movie, there might be a chance they'd have him in a The Lego Movie set, possibly just as a minifigure. (Not a whole set based around him) Edited December 7, 2013 by Lego Spy Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Hmm, I don't know. Given that he's in the movie, there might be a chance they'd have him in a The Lego Movie set, possibly just as a minifigure. (Not a whole set based around him) Well, the DC superheroes wave for 2014 will revolve solely around him, and there may not even be a summer wave for that theme, which means Lego would have made a whole year just for Batman, and to have him in yet another set apart from his theme would be hilariously painful. I mean, a whole year just for him, and then the inclusion of him in another set? It seems sort of like a way for TLG to flick off DC fans, which would be dumb since Warner Bros is already doing that with the 2014 wave of sets. I just don't see how they could do that without getting people mad. Unless everyone here would be ok with that, which in my opinion is just baffling. Quote
JeagerEX Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 But how he appeared in the movie and the LEGO Movie video game, not in the sets? Quote
