Damn will I be broke. Classic Space! Pirates! Giant yellow mech! Johny Thunder! Some police ship that'l soon be owned by my space police! I don't know about the Police Dropship, but I'd buy the Classic Space ship and Metalbeards ship at full price, and maybe the mech. Benny the space man look's great, Uni-Kitty is growing on me, I'm more death 'n' Distruction than a Unicorn cat fan however, she has become more appealing. I just hope, and I mean hope, that we get the Frank Miller esqe Bat "Mobile". I would'nt care if it was over £200, I'd buy it. Maybe GL is in Metalbeards ship? Considering that almost all the other characters in the book appear in sets.

Long live Johnny Thunder  ! These sets (particularly the second wave) seem really awesome, anyone else thinking there might be a third wave?

Technically, 2011 SD/NYCC Batman, Superman and Green Lantern were given away as "Preview Edition" minifigs. The 2012-13 SDCC's identified the minifigs as exclusive to the event. It would be nice to get that Green Lantern in a set. We got the same Superman and TDK Batman in grey instead of black (but this could also have been LEGO trying to make a intended variant).

I know, which is why I stated in my comment that the fig was not meant to be an exclusive in the first place. But meant to say "you're getting a Green Lantern in the near future".

That's a good question. While these sets are sure to sell very well (and from what I've seen they already are), I'm not sure if LEGO has faith in the brand to give it a wave a year after the film came out. Unless, of course, there's a sequel then.

Great to see a slightly revised Johnny Thunder. We know he comes with the Drop Ship and Zane too. If GL is coming in wave 2, he must be in Metalbeard's ship musn't he? The alternative could be that because he's identical to SDCC they've included a photo of that figure in the book of the film even though he won't be appearing in an actual set. I suppose better pics of the ship set will help us get a clearer idea as to which of those alternatives is correct.

Well that was sudden, I'm not sure quite what i think of this. Its not exactly want i expected but its pretty awesome in its own right. No green lantern though. Some very odd details on there so im a bit lost at the moment...

Okay, so it's definitely a D2C set. We can see that from the age range and piece count. It does seem like TLG is going to start using regular set numbers for D2Cs in 2014.

Agreed, However it does seem strange to change the system after all this time. Also what do you suppose the price will be, I guess it could range from £150-£200 (do we think more or less than orthanc??)

Double decker couch, flying cow, variant for Unikitty, and a new Metalbeard (thinner but still different than the one seen in his own set), wow I mean just wow. If the spaceship and pirate set are the only space and pirate sets coming out in 2014, I can't say I'd do anything different. Great job Lego, and thank you for reminding me why I began buying your products in the first place.

I think it might be less than Orthanc because this isn't a 'licensed' theme.

Woah. The ship looks amazing! I think I might not buy the Metal Beard set if he appears in this one . I don't like the small amount of minifigures though, but I guess Orthanc only had 5 as well.

This next wave is going to be great! Now I just want the classic spaceship and Johnny Thunder to be confirmed
