Super Goblin Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 What a disappointment, they had a perfect opportunity to release Green Lantern but instead they release a Batman they we have seen 20 times and a Green Ninja that is is multiple sets already. Quote
LegoPanda Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Did anyone else notice that Johnny Thunder is on the movie poster on top of the building to the right. seemed about time he had a new adventure, it was 10 years ago since his last Quote

Well, unlike Green Lantern, Batman is a main character, so it's only fitting that he show up in at least one set. As for the green ninja, he belongs to Lego, and could help sell the set to Ninjago fans who missed out on Lloyd the first time around. I was skeptical of Green Lantern's inclusion for a while, since if they were to put him in a new set they'd probably give him a more classic appearance than the one from the unsuccessful movie (though it would have been nice to get him somewhere... we still don't know a lot about the summer DC sets, so maybe there's still hope). Besides, the blurry green image we saw did perfectly match up to the coloring and shading of Lloyd ZX. So we kind of knew this was coming. I'm sure TLG has a huge bin full of Green Ninja's just waiting to be used. Not so much the Green Lantern figs. Quote

And what's the point in a film about your product if you don't maximise the ranges to which the sets cross-refer? I hope Batman gets a new head with some snarly facial expressions - I ended up using a Nova head with a couple of spots of black paint near the eyes on one of mine to get a bit of variety. Quote
BlueberryWaffles Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Sadly this doesn't tell us for certain what figs come in every set. Emmet's construction mech obviously includes Emmet, and I believe it has Angry Kitty as well. But it's got to have at least one bad guy — either Lord Business or some of his robot goons. Also, is "twin wrecking balls" supposed to be understood as innuendo? Maybe it is. Along with Metalbeards body remains being a bone and a sausage. Quote
Cult_Of_Skaro Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 (edited) You say wrecking ball?Where is Miley Cyrus minifigure ... This is made even funnier by your choice of emoticon... Which is 'tongue.' :D Edited January 6, 2014 by Cult_Of_Skaro Quote
jamesster Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Not sure if this has been mentioned before or not, but I got Bad Cop Pursuit and in the instructions was a QR code that led to this: http://lego.com/go/m/39 What's this "The LEGO Movie Experience" thing? Quote

Canticleer blues Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 @jamesster: According to the latest Lego Club magazine it's a ride/attraction being built in Legoland California. Says it features an 'inside look' at how movies are made, and also houses a display section of the models originally made during development of the movie (!). Quote

I just think it sucks cause we are going to have every minifig in that movie poster except Green Lantern. They have to know that people want the Green Lantern minifig or any Green Lantern minifig. I mean they used it the movie and advertising of course people are going to want it more now then ever before. Quote
DannyRww Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I agree on the Green Lantern statement....he will be in the movie and he is on the poster...so why can't we get him...also he would fill out the Justice league roster... The thing is the Flash is in the movie too (just saw him in the trailer they posted on the facebook page) meaning they knew what they had coming down the line when they made the movie. I thought this was what was happening with Green Lantern. I kind of guessed we weren't getting him when I realized that was the movie minifigure though and not based on the comic :( Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Maybe we'll get GL in the DVD? I think your'e right! Quote
ResIpsaLoquitur Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 So what are the real-world objects that are going to be in the movie? I never noticed until now that Vitruvius' staff is an actual, non-brick built lollipop on a stick. I imagine that the Kragle and battery are going to be "real" too, and that there will probably also be a Sharpie marker. Anything else? Quote
DannyRww Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I heard someone say that the laser in the melting room in the trailer looks like a laser pointer....could be wrong though as I haven't checked yet to see if that is true Quote
Piranha Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Green Lantern not being the green minifig in the Dropship is a disappointment but not a surprise. Maybe we'll get GL in the DVD? I think your'e right! That is a good guess, he might be in Emmet's mech too. Or isn't there also some sort of book that will come with a fig too? Quote
LEGO Family Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I havent seen this mentioned anywhere. Sorry if its old news. There is a short youtube review of The LEGO movie official handbook by BrickQueen: And all these sets, the parisian resturant and now The simpsons house are totally gonna ruin my economy for 2014. Im gonna end up building a house of all my bricks in the woods. Quote

In addition to the laser pointer someone already pointed out, one of the stickers in Wyldstyle's bike appears to be a partial "Good Work" sticker of the sort a grade-schooler might find on a returned assignment. I can't think of any more off the top of my head, but I have no doubt there'll be more in the movie itself. Quote
DannyRww Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 all these little things like like the Kraggle and such are creating a weird twighlight zone vibe to the Lego movie world... Quote
refriedbeans Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 (edited) How funny would it be if Krazy Glue was a sponser of the movie! And let's be real, LEGO knows we want Green Lantern, we'll have him eventually. Edited January 7, 2014 by refriedbeans Quote
