So ship for £300 or the Spaceship, Spacehip, SPACESHIP! For around £100... I think the choice is obvious.

Agreed, much rather get 3 Benny's 919's than the Steampunk ship. I'm not a fan of Steampunk, but I was considering buying it. For £300? Forget about it. I can live with the Imperial Flagship.

Sorry, does anyone have idea what is it? I didn't remember there's such kind of polybag.

That's definately a promo give away item of some sort. No build with it and no set number. Just a single fig. It is probably the freebie with the video game. or a S@H dealie next month. I think we would have heard about a movie ticket giveaway by now, and promo figs with DVD's are normally bundled into the retail box.

Sadly this doesn't tell us for certain what figs come in every set. Emmet's construction mech obviously includes Emmet, and I believe it has Angry Kitty as well. But it's got to have at least one bad guy — either Lord Business or some of his robot goons. Also, is "twin wrecking balls" supposed to be understood as innuendo?

Emmet's Construction Mech, if I recall the photo correctly, has a Skeletron from Metelbeard Duel. No clue who else will show up, and I doubt that was what was meant by "Twin Wrecking Balls"-although I wouldn't put it past Hollywood to put that in a kid's movie...

Sea Cow is 300euro?

That just ruined my day.

Not to disagree with an ambassador but I am surprised the Sea Cow is $300. At 2741 pieces it isn't much larger than the Simpson's house at 2,523 pieces which costs $200 USD. I would guess that this is closer to the actual price. As awesome as the Spaceship and Police Dropship are, I would much rather have the stunning Sea Cow for $200 than the other two sets for $220. Just sayin...

Well, that was made available on the 6th, so guess which day I made a purchase? (The 5th of course) :hmpf_bad:

You mean $300 there.

(And neither are going to be $110 each)

Nah, I mean $200 because I really don't think the Sea Cow is going to be $300.

And...Super Secret Dropship=$100 + Spaceship, Spaceship, Spaceship $120 =$220

Despite the prices in other countries (which I think have their own retail markups), I believe the Spaceship will be $90 USD, the Construction Mech $50, and the Dropship $70.

Keep in mind that "not many more pieces" and "not much larger" are two different things. The parts of the Simpsons house seem to be basic bricks for the most part, whereas the Sea Cow features plenty of mast elements, large Technic panels, large Technic wheels, and of course the huge ship hulls. $300 still seems pricy, but when you take into consideration how much plastic those large parts entail and it starts to make a bit more sense.

Well crap  Still, that certainly helps out the budget. $160 for two great sets isn't too shabby.

On a side note J2G, my son and I enjoyed watching one of your video reviews on Brickset. It was very well done.

All valid points. Has the price for the Sea Cow been confirmed? Because if not I am just going to keep on deluding myself that it is going to be affordable. I just can't justify paying $300 for any toy no matter how awesome it may be.

Wow, this means a lot to me. Thank you! A father and son bonding over one of my videos? Wow, thanks! :cry_happy:

Aww, cute! :purrr:

I guess I won't be getting that set anytime soon if it'll be $300 USD too.

That seems awfully steep for the sea cow. This is for a kids movie after all. I'm guessing more, like $180-200 max.

Sorry Johnny no cool funky ship for you unless we take out a second mortgage.

$300 is out of my budget too. Guess I will get only the one with Thunder. And see if I can buy Benny on Ebay. :look:

My possibly optimistic theory on the price of the Sea Cow being $300 US and 300 Euros is that people have taken the South African price from kiddiwinks. However, even though most of their sets seem to have what would be a correct RRP, this one they have listed as available in March. Given that it's an exclusive I think the only way they could get their hands on it by March is buying from Lego at full RRP and then marking it up. The Simpsons house has a more reasonable price on their website but says it's not available until May, so that may be when they release it to retailers. One other point with the Sea Cow is that they have no product information so it doesn't look like they were necessarily given a catalogue with details of it in it. And my final, possibly irrelevant, point regarding getting info from this site is that they list the Sea Cow as a 12+ set, whereas the box shows it's 14+, so I wouldn't put total faith in their numbers.

Yeah, price is from Kiddiwinks. Its even more expensive than Sydney Opera house and almost double the price of Parisiene Restaurant. I really hope I'm wrong, but after seening the price of simpson House, I suspect it will be at least 250euro.

Please note that I as Ambassador dont get any official (or unofficial) info about new sets and even if I would, I wouldnt disclose them to public. So, all my speculations here are based purely on information I get in topic itself. And thats why I added questionmark to my remark about the price.

Can't see Sea Cow being $300, they won't sell many at that price if it is true!

$300 was the price of Taj Mahal (10189) which had more than twice the elements of Sea Cow so can't see Sea Cow being in the same price bracket
