HomerJSimpson Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Who's gonna do the first review of BSSS!? Quote
DuckBricks Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Seeing those sets really made me wonder if they were planning that crazy sub, that would have been my favourite set. Actually, LEGO had made the sub in LDD for the Movie... http://www.thebrickfan.com/the-lego-movie-master-builders-submarine/ Quote
Transparency for Effect Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Actually, LEGO had made the sub in LDD for the Movie... http://www.thebrickf...ders-submarine/ Could we rebuild it? Quote
DuckBricks Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Could we rebuild it? Someone actually did, but since some parts didn't exist he improvised... http://www.thebrickfan.com/the-lego-movie-master-builders-submarine-moc-by-imagine-rigney/ Quote
Blakstone Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 What is everyone's feeling on Rescue Reinforcements? I am really considering this set as I want some of the minifigs. But they time I buy the three unique minifigs separately I almost bought the set. I am still on the fence though. Have you built it? What do you think of the part selection? Quote
obsidianheart Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 I built it, it was mostly fun. Left the apples an carrots out of the barncopter because I kept dropping them. Had a bit of a laugh posing the mech on my shelf, but it's at my storage location and I haven't messed with it much. The larger Micro Manager is pretty similar to the one in Metalbeard's Duel, but I built them far enough apart for it not to feel repetitive. Quote
PenPlays Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 (edited) I'm sure that this was mentioned from an secondary source, but here's the info first hand. Emmet's Constructo-Mech, The Super Secret Police Dropship, and Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP! will be available (in the US) on June 1st! (click the arrow next to the May Calendar to see the June Calendar). And, of course, the Movie will be available on DVD on June 17th. Edited May 1, 2014 by Penkid11 Quote
Lance Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 (edited) Will it strictly be June 1st in LEGO Stores, or will they have them in late this month? We'll be visiting the Cardiff store then, and we wanted to pick up Benny's Spaceship. Edited May 1, 2014 by Lance Quote

Rescue Reinforcements, IMO, is the best set of wave one! So much awesomeness... Quote
Thelegomaster Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 This is a pretty entertaining video if you like The LEGO Movie Quote
8BrickMario Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I hate to be the one to say this, but this belongs to the Culture and Multimedia forum more than this one. It was funny, though, and some of the sequences were really well made. Quote
KCMatze Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 This. Was . Awesome. Please keep it here :D Back on topic: Really looking forward to the second wave of Movie sets, as I did not grab any yet, well... I guess I have to sooner or later ;) Quote
sithewok Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 That was really funny - and done really well. I am going to be so broke in June. But it will be a fun month of building. :) Quote
PenPlays Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 I have nerve loved a HISHE episode... ever... Still didn't enjoy this one. But, that stop motion would make any man jealous. Loved it for that reason alone. Quote
Routemaster Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Will it strictly be June 1st in LEGO Stores, or will they have them in late this month? We'll be visiting the Cardiff store then, and we wanted to pick up Benny's Spaceship. Not sure if you only want to buy it from a LEGO Store, but I checked Amazon.de yesterday for a release date of Emmet's Constructo-Mech and it said May, 17th. At least for this set (my favorite set from this wave). I was very surprised about the soon release cause we want the Angry Kitty. :-) Probably you check amazon.fr for Benny's Spaceship? Quote
Fritzy Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 FYI, there's a VIP promotion going on for the month of May where buying Bad Cop's Pursuit (or Droid's Gunship) will net you 50 bonus points. Quote
KCMatze Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Is that up in all countries? I don't seem to find it in the German shop... Quote
Fritzy Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 This might be only relevant to Canada and US, as it looks like Germany's offers are different. Still a 50-point bonus but the selection is different: Palace Cinema and Lord Business' Evil Lair. Here's a link for you: http://shop.lego.com/en-DE/VIP/vipPromotions.jsp Quote
Herky Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 I liked that little lego movie...if anything, we don't want to move it, we need to create a theme just for the Lego Movie and it's multiple, multiple, multiple threads cause we know there is a lego movie 2 coming and it clogs up the special themes...it is really unique and should have its own theme Quote
rollermonkey Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 (edited) Indeed. Before release, nobody knew where it fit, but it is clearly more an action theme than most of what goes in here. Architecture fans are told we have too many topics, but TLM has taken over the while front page of the board more than once. Edited May 6, 2014 by rollermonkey Quote
Faefrost Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 I have nerve loved a HISHE episode... ever... Still didn't enjoy this one. But, that stop motion would make any man jealous. Loved it for that reason alone. I think Brotherhood Workshop did the stop motion for it. They are truly amazing. Quote
danth Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 There was a picture posted online of Benny's Spaceship with no stickers applied and it didn't have any Classic Space logos. This leads one to believe that the Classic Space logos are stickers and not printed on. I find this pretty upsetting. I don't like logos that rub and peel and get hair and dust stuck on their edges. :( Quote
TheLegoDr Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Is it possible that someone retro-built it? With that said, I thought they were already going to be stickers. That seems to be the trend with most sets. I'd imagine a few to be printed, but the majority to be stickered. I guess it is possible they all are stickers, which is unfortunate since most people don't use them anyway. Maybe it is LEGO's way of saying, if you want to enjoy classic space again you need to start using your stickers... And that HISHE episode was awesome. Anything with Supes and Batman together in a diner is pure gold. I think my daughter watched that episode countless times this morning. Quote
obsidianheart Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Can I have your stickers, then? That way I can put them on a whole bunch of MOCs. Quote
