Just thought I'd show you guys one of my newest little MOCs: a Transit shuttle.

This shuttle has multiple uses in various cities/towns across the world. Most popular include transit and airport services. It also is one of my first MOCs to be completely pre-designed using LDD.

Here's a YT video showing some features.

Nice work 'brickbuilder711', my only suggestion would be for the windscreen and bonnet areas......shift the slope piece one stud forward and using a 6x2x3....yes, the three stud deep version instead of the 2 stud deep version would look more realistic.

Brick On 'brickbuilder711' ! :classic:

It looks good! There's some effective design features going on.

You mentioned that this was your first LDD to Real Life design. How did you find that process working for you? What are the drawbacks (if any) ? You also mentioned plans available by email - I'm definitely interested in that. Sign me up!

Thanks! Problem is the windscreen here is a 4x2x2, not a 6x2x2. If only LEGO made a three stud version :)

Thanks. Aside from the models I did then ordered via factory, yes it is one of the first build tested designs! I like it, it is much more organized and it lets you know what pieces/how many you'll need to achieve the design. Unfortunately of course there are limitations in general like moving or odd parts that you would be better trying out in real life. One big one, in my Tri-Rail set that I'll be building, the wheels aren't separate from the bogey so things like that need to be built real first. And yes as you said I am more than happy to send you guys the instructions! Forgot to mention it at the beginning of the thread. Just PM me an email contact, I'll email the HTML version which can be browsed via your internet browser and a zip which contains the many images and icons you'll need. Both will need to be saved to the same folder I think since one depends on the other, of course the zip will need to be unzipped to that same folder.

I built something very similar based on a GMC Platform Community Transit Bus for a show representing a new Transit Station. Your doors are pretty similar to mine with the wheelchair lift! Making the front door open is easy with droid arms. I use the same method on my regular transit bus.
