Back again with another classic Minifig Pack review, this time featuring Battle Droids! Not many pictures I could find of this set, so I took quite a few.

Set Info:

Name: Battle Droids and Command Officer Minifig Pack

Number: 3343

Pieces: 30

Minfigures: 3

Year of Release: 2000

Onwards, this one wasn't as ideal for army building since the MTT and AAT were both released in the same year. Front of the box showing our usual information as seen in the 2000 box art.

Side of the box shows the usual suspects seen on the front and the cards.

All 30 parts layed out. the Cards count as pieces.

Here is what the display stands look like. Old dark grey might I add.

Classic battle droids with curved arms and megaphones.

Here's something we haven't seen on our battle droids in a while. Backpacks!

Onto the cards. I digress I never payed much attention to the Phantom Menace so I don't recognize some of these scenes.

I appreciate how both battle droids have different cards and information.

The whole group together, probably my least favorite of the 4 packs, but nice nonetheless.

Final thoughts

Battle Droid parts do not age well, I might end up gluing these guys together because most of their joints have cracked. (cheap Trade Federation). All in all, these are nice to collect. Especially for me, back when I was a kid, staring at them in the magazines, knowing I wouldn't be able to get them. Well, look at me now.

Thanks for the review 'Ritz Brick', it was the series of Star Wars minifig packs that caused Lego stacks of legal troubles with Haspro over figurine packs vs. construction packs.

Hence the battle packs where half the pack are figurines and the other half some brick-built battle scene or vehicle.

Brick On Review On 'Ritz Brick' !

Cool review. I very like old sets and minifigures.

Those aren't megaphones but they are blasters.

Making a joke, I grew up using megaphones as blasters. As CopMike says.

"in space no one can hear you scream"... even with a megaphone

Back on topic, I didn't even know that those sets existed! I left the Lego world just before, the last set I got was the 1999 Lightsaber duel. It's nice to see the "cultural" side of set reviews. And good job getting your hands on those :classic:
