The prelim picture drawn-fig artwork had this helmet being a lot shorter and the visor a lot wider. The visor print could be wrong here, but I doubt the mould will be different, and this mould is just too tall.

(Quoting almost everyone before me)

That visor bothers me! Like, are his eyes on his forehead!?

I sure hope it is a misprint because that's just awful! (Unfortunately, the chances that it is a misprint are somewhat slim :look:)

"The goggles! They do nothing!"... for me...

That visor print just seems odd. I like the shape and detailing of the helmet otherwise. Yeah it seems a little big, but all new lego helmets seem to be trending that way. Iron Man, Phase 2 clones, etc. I can live with a slight bobbleheadedness. But those eyes are making my head hurt for some reason.

I'm underwhelmed by the Kashyyyk trooper too. Doesn't look up to 2013 standard. The goggles look like early-mid 90s face prints. What happened here!? I'm usually positive about revealed pics but this one I'm not. Maybe the green background makes the minifig colours look bad, I hope that's it.

I'm not a big fan of the new helmet either. The mold itself isn't too bad but design of the printed visor ruins it. I don't see myself picking up more than one of this battlepack.

There are tutorials & a FAQ on how to do the following things if you need help, but the basics are that you need to upload your pictures to a site that allows public viewing, like Flickr or Brickshelf (or anything, those 2 are the most common here), then link (or deeplink) to them in your Eurobricks post.

The print looks pretty off to me. The helmet is huge and the goggles are tiny. It looks like it could fit two minifigure heads in it. The drawing for the preliminary minifigure looks much better. I really hope this is not final.

This is the year of tall, bobble-head helmets.

Nicely put

I don't know what to say. I didn't like the design of the regular phase II helmets, but this one is even worse. It's so rediculous: finally, TLC comes with a battle pack a lot of people want, but messed up the design of the minifigs, or at least the design of the helmets. These guys are really making a couple of remarkably bad decisions :(

I have made changes to the helmet on MS paint but how do I upload it on here?

Okay, I kind of did a weird thing but here is a picture of a changed Kashyyyk trooper on another forum unrelated to LEGO. You have to view attachment on it to see the picture.

Logged in on the forum, it's not really that hard.

This is what I found:

It looks better, but it also looks photoshopped.

We'll have to see I guess.

It's not just the size of the visor, the black border and the shade of green on it are bothering me as well. The mold itself looks great though.

Hopefully the new helmets for the 212nd airborne troopers don't turn out so bad.

It is photoshopped. Republican said himself that he altered it in MS Paint (so it's MS Painted I suppose). This shows that, if the picture we got is a misprint, there could still be a little hope left for this helmet.

But still, it's way too large and bobble-head-y. Iron Man's helmet made enough sense because it needed an opening function. This just has no excuse.

I'm glad I have an '05 Kashyyyk Trooper, because it looks a lot better than this.

Agreed, bought mine this week and I'm glad I did. I'm not overly impressed with this one. Fingers crossed the new figs get better after this effort.

I don't really know why the molds now are mostly bobble heads. It seams like a waist of plastic to make it two times the size of the actual head. Lego has proven in the past that they can make descent sized helmets, just look at the phase I and scout trooper helmet. They should have just modified the scout trooper helmet by filling in the visor hole and putting a print on it.

this might not mean anything to anyone...but everytime i see these leaked pictures, i have mixed emotions, but when the day comes to buying them, and physically having them, those mixed emotions go away, and im referring to the original phase 2 helmets hear and they weren't that accurate in my opinion...so i say this wave of troopers will be pretty darn decent when it comes to buying them...alright im done here :P

The new plain trooper looks better in that shot, though. The Kashyyyk trooper's helmet is just hideous, though. I hope a third-party vendor makes something better I can swap out with the official helmet.

Well this is dissapointing. I really want to know who at TLG looked at the mold and was like wow looks great. SMH. I will still be picking up that BP though. And the target demo (kids) wont really care about the helmet being "a little off"

EDIT: Also has there been any speculation as to what the UCS releases will be in 2014?

I sure hope that helmet is a misprint, but sadly I kind of doubt so :sceptic:

There was a rumour a few pages ago about a UCS Slave I
