Super Brick Collector Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 For Lego to release this figure means they got or have KOTOR license. And this could be a teaser to a maybe future set or sets which would be amazing. Quote
Mr Man Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Doesn't Revan appear in TOR? If so then TLG doesn't need KOTR licence, just their existing TOR one. Quote
Csacsa234 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Oh my god, I just saw the Dearth Revan figure, I neeed it! It looks beautiful and I'm a huge fan of the KOTOR games, so it's a musthave for me Doesn't Revan appear in TOR? If so then TLG doesn't need KOTR licence, just their existing TOR one. He appears in one of the Flashpoint missions if I remember well, but I don't want to spoiler anything so that's all Quote
Dorayaki Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I'd really like to see the KOTOR main characters being in official Lego sets. It was one of the PC RPG games I truly enjoyed, much to LucasArts' dismay. Quote
Chills Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Wow! As a huge fan of the original KOTOR game, this is a great surprise! A must buy to be sure... That Sandcrawler is looking more and more like a first day purchase. I am thinking the exact same thing. Quote
Kaitan Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I'm not convinced about Darth Revan - That picture looks a little too "perfect"to me, especially if you compare it to the TC-4 Polybag. The TC-4 bag has an "airbrushed" blue colour under the writing. None of the textures above and below the main picture are as sharp and defined as those on the Revan bag. The serial number underneath the figure looks printed on in the Revan bag , when on the TC-4 bag its actually embossed, with no printing at all. And finally, if this is supposedly "available" in the czech republic, why isn't ebay etc flooded with vastly overpriced sales of them? Don't shoot me down, I'm perfectly happy to be proved wrong, I'm jus' sayin... K Quote
Legoman123 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I don't really know much about TOR so I'm not entirely sure who he is. He looks cool though. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 And the May the Fourth polybag seems to be...: http://brickset.com/article/10665/darth-revan-polybag-found-in-czech-republic Woah. Definitely did not see that coming. Okay, if that's real, it's not often that I'm completely and utterly surprised by one of TLG's choices for a release, but this is one of them. It doesn't really interest me, but I imagine plenty of KotOR and OR fans will be pleased. None of the textures above and below the main picture are as sharp and defined as those on the Revan bag. The serial number underneath the figure looks printed on in the Revan bag , when on the TC-4 bag its actually embossed, with no printing at all. I can see a bit of the texture of the bag ends a little bit above and to the left of the serial number, and you can see some subdued reflections off the wrinkles in the bag. It could just be a good bit of photography by someone trying to make the image look 'flat', as is the typical style of the images Brickset uses. And finally, if this is supposedly "available" in the czech republic, why isn't ebay etc flooded with vastly overpriced sales of them? But you're right, that is unusual. Quote
Lobot Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I was really disappointed by Han last year, but this is even less appealing to me (no offence to KOTOR fans!). I've been quietly expecting a Tatooine-related offering, but it's not looking hopeful now Quote
Praiter Yed Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Seems an odd choice for a May 4th promo fig, obviously ace for EU fans but I can't see it really driving Lego sales - unless there's some amazing special offers (doubtful in the UK) to back it up. I've spent way too much on promo figs recently so if this really is the May 4th fig my wallet will be getting a welcome rest. Quote
LordLEGOtube Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 a character from a video game that's ten years old who was that? I don't remember that figure Quote
BrickG Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I can see why the choice is viewed as questionable. However you have to understand that KOTOR is largely thought of as the BEST Star Wars outside of the original trilogy, story wise. Seriouisly, most of the EU in Star Wars is crap. KOTOR's story is not one of them (gameplay is pretty aged at this point though). I mean you can just see the respect for KOTOR when the Clone Wars wanted to have Revan and Malak appear on it. I don't think it would be bad to say that KOTOR is held higher than the prequels, ignoring numbers (obviously it hasn't had as many people experience the story but I'd 100% bet that it's considerably more well loved within it's smaller fanbase). If ANY of the EU was made canon, KOTOR would be the first thing 98% of people who know it would support. It's closer to "Star Wars" than almost the rest of the entire EU and prequels. Quote
Darth Dino Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Hi i was looking for hints being a fake Revan fig. Its too good to be the truth. But i did not find a single hint being a fake custom fig. Maybe except the "lot-number" which is 02B4 Does anybody seen this number on similar bags? Maybe the faker just forgot that to edit. Does all polybags have such numbers? Dino Quote
Faefrost Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I hope this is real. Great character. I'm more surprised that Disney / Lucasfilms would go for it? Granted the TOR stuff seems to be the only point of the "EU" that they do not currently have a toy making moratorium on. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 That's awesome. I had that game for Xbox. I was already going to get at least one may 4th figure, but I may shoot for two now. Quote
Krulis Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Doesn't Revan appear in TOR? If so then TLG doesn't need KOTR licence, just their existing TOR one. If I remember correctly in sith warrior stiryline you encounter Revan's cult that you had to infiltrate. One of their missions was to retrive his mask. After that Revan's force ghost appeared. Back on topic this fig is great. KOTOR was always my favourite Star Wars game. I really hope that it is May the Fourth promo. Quote
Ki-Adi-Mundi Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Woah. Definitely did not see that coming. If this would become true, i will see what sets to buy for getting him at least once. I was and am really fond of Revan. He is one of my favourite SW characters. Having him in LEGO form would be great. Still, the choice is a bit surprising. Being an EU person, he is not as famous as the protagonists of the movies. who was that? I don't remember that figure You might have heard of 'Knights of the old Republic'. It was a video RPG for PC and xbox released in 2003. Few games have received such uniform praise. It got dozens of 'game of the year' awards. Revan is the main protagonist of this pretty immersive story. Just peek here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_Knights_of_the_Old_Republic Quote
Slurpifier Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Quite a, well, very interesting choice of a figure. Darth Revan is a character that would often pass my mind, but sadly, I have yet to play the games that he appears in. Looks like a nice, detailed figure if you ask me! Quote
eric729 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 That Darth Revan looks great! And also, not sure if this was posted before, but there is a microfighters collection at S@H for the same price as them all individually... http://shop.lego.com/en-US/LEGO-Star-Wars-Microfighters-Collection-5003835?fromListing=listing Quote
TeufelHund Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 (edited) Nice - this may be the first May 4th figure that I don't E-bay as part of my "discount" for buying from Shop@Home. Edited March 26, 2014 by TeufelHund Quote

Dino Clone Trooper Lieutenant's embossed serial is 23B3 It may look so ultra-smooth if it was scanned in, and not a photograph... And there's really not a lot of texture on the minifig polybag I'm looking at... May the Fourth or not, I think it's a legitimate polybag. Quote
Artanis I Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I like it, if it is real and the promo minifig I'm keen for it. Hope we find out soon. Quote
BrickG Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I'd say Shadows of the Empire is loved more. Thrawn Trilogy probably as well. Their reach is more limited though. Books are neat and all but more people played KOTOR than read those books I'd venture. Quote
wesker Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I'm surprised they went with an EU character. With Disney forcing Hasbro to stop making EU figures I'd assumed the same would have applied to Lego. Still he's a pretty awesome figure. Looking forward to it. Quote
