Chills Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I counted the studs. It's the same. Legs are taller on the new one though, and head is bigger. So proportionally, the body looks smaller. ahhh, the head is bigger; that explains it. Quote
nrg Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I think the 75058 will include: AAT and Gian speeder. I can't imagine those minifigs with an MTT. Quote

namioik Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Well we are only getting two battle droids, so that wouldn't work very well if we were getting an MTT. The ISD wouldn't list two stormtroopers since they are both identical, so there's no need for the poster to post 20+ battle droids either. You are just seeing two variant battle droids for that set number Quote

LordLEGOtube Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Well we are only getting two battle droids, so that wouldn't work very well if we were getting an MTT. The minifigure poster just shows that there are two TYPES of droid, it gives no indication to how many there will be of each. Quote

HJR-Holland Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Aren't these 'exclusive-end-of-year' sets normally around $50? (Tri-Fighter, Police Gunship, Starhopper etc.) Would be hard to imagine both an AAT and a Speeder for that price. Back in 1999 / 2000 that was surely an option, but now? Dunno... Quote

Actually, it can go either way. The least amount for a summer exclusive would be $40 and ranges towards $100 ish Examples would be 75025 75024 9525 9526 The old at-at back in 2010 and so forth Quote
joopsta Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 (edited) I thought the new summer sets would be selling at S@H by now, since they are sold in the Lego stores for a week now here in Europe. Is that normal? Selling in Lego stores and online way later? Edited May 16, 2014 by joopsta Quote
lomis Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 So, from what I can tell from the box and preview images/videos of 75056-1: Advent Calendar - the Snowtroopers are of the design like in 75014: Battle of Hoth, where their helmets have cutouts instead of printing and the backpacks are not brick built. Any ideas on if this will change before its release or why LEGO would release it with the old molds rather than with the new ones? Quote
rollermonkey Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Placeholder images until the sets are finalized. Quote
Admiral-Ackbar Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Placeholder images until the sets are finalized. I would have thought that myself had I not seen the pictures from the New York Toy Fair that showed the new design snowtrooper in the snowspeeder and AT-AT sets yet still the older version in the Advent Calendar. It could just be a mistake but it seems as if they may actually include the other version in the Calendar. Which is a pretty stupid thing to do if you ask me. Quote
TWP Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 No, it's not a confidentinal image and the toy fair image from FBTB says it too: it's the old one included in the set. Quote

When the new epII clones came out, they include the old CW clone in the Calendar. When we got new face printing for the Reb soldier, an old one was include in calender without the pupils.... I think its TLG way of getting rid of some old stock. Quote

I'm not entirely sure, but didn't they include a epII clone and pupil eyed rebel in the calendars? Of what I can remember, they did. Edited May 17, 2014 by TWP Quote
Cyberbricker Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 (edited) Yeah, could be that I'm mistaking with an older calendar... But still they include old over new in the calendar many times... Edited May 17, 2014 by Cyberbricker Quote
Ki-Adi-Mundi Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 The summer wave is about to hit Germany now. TRU and Galeria Kaufhof for example already have them listed as being available immediately. They come at RRP: 75048 The Phantom: 29,99 € 75049 Snowspeeder: 39,99 € 75050 B-Wing Starfighter: 59,99 € 75051 Jedi Scout Fighter: 69,99 € 75052 Mos Eisley Cantina: 79,99 € 75053 The Ghost: 99,99 € 75054 AT-AT: 119,99 € 75055 Imperial Star Destroyer: 129,99 € Quote
Moexy Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Those prices are already a bitt more reasonable! :) Quote
Robert_88 Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Those prices are already a bitt more reasonable! :) Yes, but the Snowspeeder isn't okay. 40 € for 270 pieces and 3 minifigs? Quote
Sir von Lego Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Yes, but the Snowspeeder isn't okay. 40 € for 270 pieces and 3 minifigs? Should have been 29,99 EUR. Now it's the same ridiculous pricing as the Droid Tri Fighter has... Quote
