australopithecine Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Better price on the microfighters than the planet series, and they don't have those huge planet pieces I didn't like. Quote

Only Sinner Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Nice to see most of the line is low priced. I was really concerned that the BPs were going to be $16+. These are okay as far as prices go. I probably won't buy most of the other sets, but it's good for those that will. Quote
The Joker1 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Hi guys, Does anyone know why a few new sets are not on LEGO's site (UK) when most of them are. The ones i noticed were Vulture droid and Kashyyk battle pack are not on there? Quote

I probably won't even buy half of the new line, because for example, the BP's are already €16,99 here.. that's just ridiculous. Quote

If you search by the item numbers most are available The micro-fighters are £8.99 each & the battle packs are £11.99 Quote
Robianco Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 (edited) I popped into my Lego store today and picked up the 4 OT Microfighters and the Death Star Trooper BP. I actually really like the MFs and the figures are great... leg printing and revised torso and helmet printing on the Tie Fighter Pilot... and actually a new print for Han's belt and holster on his blue legs (as well as a new personalised facial print). That may not seem like much to most but I appreciate these small details in perfecting the figures. I already had 6 of the Red Ten so I just need another Battle of Hoth Luke to switch over the new head and helmet to complete my Rebel pilots upgrade. I don't know whether to be happy or disappointed but the Death Star Gunner is actually much better in my eyes than my Christo custom... the scale of the helmet is better and it's shape is just a little more rounded and obviously acts as a removable helmet over a head rather than one piece like Christo's. The torso and leg printing is nice too. But more important news... I was asking about some other releases and the guy I spoke to said he's seen the box and the image of the Sandcrawler... he couldn't confirm whether it was a UCS set or what kind of scale/figures/extras were there but it looks like a March 1st release. It seems this is pretty close to having something that may get leaked if staff are seeing prelims and box art. He just said it was a 'big brown pointy thing'. Time will tell. Prices will drop once the sets are available at more sources. I think that Lego tries rising the prices for sets since quite some time now, but in the end, the price e.g. for battle packs drops to 12-13 Euro pretty quick, and occasonally ends up at 10-12 Euro. Before Christmas, some EP II sets were available in German for pretty low prices. Quote
The Joker1 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 If you search by the item numbers most are available The micro-fighters are £8.99 each & the battle packs are £11.99 I did give that a go but the kashyyyk battle pack still wont show, Nor will the volture droid. Most of the sets are on there but those two are not for some reason? Quote
Moexy Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 (edited) Is it not strange that on the lego Belgium website the new sets are not available yet but they are in stores for about two weeks? If the battlepacks are indeed so expensieve here then I'm not going to buy them (they just seem "meh") and just going to Bricklink some of the new figs (chewbacca and Grievous mostly :P) Edited December 26, 2013 by Moexy Quote
Only Sinner Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 A mate of mine has done some more video reviews: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&list=UUHMRHrFZAlOwHJhcZucH2hA&v=i53pj0R5P4A http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&list=UUHMRHrFZAlOwHJhcZucH2hA&v=wSCDb0XqmSE I know a lot of you dislike video reviews, but you could at least take a look with the sound off, then. I actually prefer video reviews so thanks :) Also ask your friend if he could do a video review for one of the micro fighters if he has Any. I'd appreciate it. I've been lpoking everywhere for one. Super Brick Collector Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Awesome reviews, can't wait to buy both those sets. Quote

The battlepacks are priced at 12.99 euro and they had bonus posters with most of the larger sets. Quote

Yeah, that's what I mean, they are already available for two weeks but on the Lego website they are not. €12,99 is a decent price! :) Quote
commdr_neyo Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 they are already available for two weeks but on the Lego website they are not They are, atleast in the country next to yours Battlepacks are 14.55 on the Lego site, and they were 16.99 at my local toystore: http://shop.lego.com/en-NL/Death-Star-Troopers-75034?fromListing=listing Quote
Flieger Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Yeah, that's what I mean, they are already available for two weeks but on the Lego website they are not. €12,99 is a decent price! :) Yes, but if I really want a set, like the Death Star Troopers, I am ready to pay a little more - just not for the average battle pack. For those I would like a much lower price. Quote
Diaaabo Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Peeked inside the LEGO Store in Disneyland Paris, which will open next week, they were stocked to the ceiling with the new sets. Can't wait for the 30th for it to open so I can spend my hard-earned money Quote
BrickG Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Is it just me or are the eyes on all helmets migrating upwards in this wave? Quote

Ki-Adi-Mundi Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 (edited) It appears there was a teaser in Lego Advent Calendar online game about a new Lego Dewback! If you find succesfully all the bricks and complete a calendar vehicle for the last 4 weeks (each week unlocking a different Microfighter) you unlock a short video featuring a race between Han Solo's MF and Imperial Officer in his ISD. At one point, they pass next to a Dewback that looks highly polished and ready for a set release. So, Mos Eiseley Cantina anyone? [snip] Credits to Will from Hothbricks for first relating the news and the above picture. Thanks for this hot info! Feeling underwhelmed by the majority of the last waves' sets, a cantina with a dewback would be great! While a bantha and some Jawas definitley would add for Tatooine local colorit, this is an improvement already! The dewback looks pretty realistic in LEGO terms so chances are high that we will see it soon! Edited December 31, 2013 by Brickdoctor Please don't quote images. Quote
Phoib Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 German lego magazine puts the release of the microfighters in February, and the remaining sets in April. Micro are €9.99, and the BP €16.99 Quote
Savage Oppress Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 (edited) so, the 2014 sets will add 1000 more clone troopers and 5 more droids to our collection. Edited December 28, 2013 by Savage Oppress Quote
TheBrickHitHouse Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Everything's out in the UK lego stores :) Quote
