Sir von Lego Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Nice find! The set names sounds very promising to me. I wonder if we'll get some more (and bigger) E III sets? Quote
Alywin Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Our local fellow (Source: http://www.minifigs....34&extra=page=1 ) found that the upcoming LEGO 2014 new year sale event in Hong Kong will give away TC-4 in polybag form as one of the gifts, which might not have been released before elsewhere. Below is a very small unclear picture cropped from the relevant promotion pamphlet. Quote

Cyberbricker Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 (edited) I like the OT sets, never got a B-wing so this time it will be the first set I get! Snowspeeder??? I have more then plenty... I don't think I will start collecting the TV-show stuff again, so that saves me some money. I was hoping for an EPI AAT, or one more set of EP II or EP III with some special clone troopers in it, but I don't think this is the complete wave? Happy New Year all!!! Darth Dino Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 I've just got the names of the summer wave of Star Wars sets for 2014 thanks to one of the hungarian online Lego shops. I'm sure all OT fans will enjoy this list 75048 - Phantom 6855HUF~20-30 EUR 75049 - Snowspeeder 278 pieces 10455 HUF~30-40 EUR 75050 - B-wing 448 pieces 15815 HUF ~ 50-60 EUR 75051 - Jedi Hunter 490 pieces 17715 HUF 60-70 EUR 75052 - Mos Eisley Cantina 615 pieces 21260 HUF ~ 70-80 EUR 75053 - The Ghost piece number unknown yet 26090 HUF ~ 90-100 EUR 75054 - AT-AT :classic: 1138 pieces 32655 HUF ~ 110EUR 75055 - Imperial Star Destroyer :classic: 36285HUF ~ 120EUR Happy New Year! Hi you are kidding, do you? This is exactly the list of OT sets i am missing. I dont have any Hoth releated yet, the last AT AT was always too expensive for me. But i am wondering a.bout the snowspeeder. In the actual Hoth sets is a snowspeeder included but never 30-40€ worth. This seem too be bigger but still far away frim any UCS. I like it too to get a B-Wing, the USC was close to system scale but slightly larger. Cantona: Woaj! if money left i will got this too. Does anybody wonder about a ISD just for 120€ seems ro be too cheap or very undetailed. Dino Quote
NovaSentinel Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Sounds like a fairly dull wave to me :/ here's my thoughts Phantom - Probably some sort of fighter from Rebels, likely another x-wing rip off. I think its a rebel ship seeing as phantom is a synonym for ghost Snowspeeder - A new design with a jacked up price tag and probably some exclusive figures. Who's left from Hoth though? Perhaps a new snowtrooper helmet? I expect a new Dak Ralter in this one B-wing - Not surprised, but seeing as the A-Wing had Han and Ackbar, this one will probably have Mon Mothma, Leia and Lando Jedi Hunter - The Inquisitors ship, will hopefully be similar to the fury class Mos Eisley Cantina - I personally have no attachment to this, but I know a lot of people have wanted it for a while so im glad to see it back. Probably have Han, new Chewie, Greedo, Another Alien, Bartender and the Sand trooper on the dewback. Maybe the Landspeeder with Luke and Ben Kenobi too The Ghost - As the flagship rebels set, I expect this to come with the majority of the main good guy cast. Probably a Jedi, a young hero, a female hero, an ex soldier and a friendly droid. Hopefully some stormies for good measure too AT-AT - Glad it's bigger, but personally I'm fed up with Hoth. How many new versions of figures can they do? Hopefully we'll get Veers and a load of Snowtroopers Imperial Star Destroyer - Likely rebels version, but that looks just as slick. Hopefully we'll get a new Vader (new mould perhaps?) New Tarkin, A couple of death star troopers and some stormies. Oh and a mouse droid Quote
Borex Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 A good start in 2014! Yesss! The Cantina is the one set i was hoping for! I hope they don't include a landspeeder (less bricks for the cantina) and do hope they fill it up with aliens! Greedo, Ponda Baba, Bith musicians and Momaw Nadon if it's possible! Probably i want all those OT sets haha Quote
Just The Doctor Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 to be honest, if these are real sets, and they probably are, then probably won't buy any, even though i prefer OT to PT, I like to get clone troopers more and I was hoping for an EPIII cody or bly Quote
korpen4444 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 My thoughts on the summer list(hopefully incomplete) Mos Eisley Cantina should include: Greedo, Dewback, Sandtrooper, Muftak, Hammerhead. Star Destroyer should include: Tarkin, Vader, Piett, Ozzel, DS Troopers. AT-AT must have: Pilot Luke, Veers, 4 Snowies, Rebel, AT-AT Driver. Snowspeeder: Wedge, Janson, maybie Hobbie, and Dac. This would be the pilots pack I dream of. The others: don't really care. Quote
LegoFjotten Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Nice list, looks very promising! Cantina set will hopefully include some nice new figs (or atleast a new Greedo). Will be interesting to see what they do with the new ISD & AT-AT, the ISD will probably be along the lines of 6211 given the price point. I guess I'm the only one who isn't hating the current Snowspeeder, given the small size I think it's a pretty good rendition. Even fits 2 figs. ...and I have no sympathy for the PT/CW crowd wishing for more clones, there must be a gazillion different variants available now. Quote
Sir von Lego Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 (edited) So will we ever see the main ships and places from E III? Another decent CTT, Wookiee Catamaran or the duels on Utapau or Mustafar? Also, seems to be an expensive summer wave, but not too many sets.. Wish to see some more sets. Edited January 1, 2014 by Sir von Lego Quote
michaelozzie Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Maybe the higher price for the snowspeeder means it will include a small version of the ION cannon? Quote
CJBERRY Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Snowspeeder! Hope its true, wanted a decent sized one for a while Quote
eric729 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 I've just got the names of the summer wave of Star Wars sets for 2014 thanks to one of the hungarian online Lego shops. Great list, thanks! My only problem is the Snowspeeder. I would much rather have a new and updated AT-ST Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 (edited) I have to say that the more I think about it, the more I'm a bit concerned about the price point of the cantina. At $70, we're most likely looking at 6-7 minifigures. Wuher, Greedo, and a Modal Nodes band member are absolutely necessary. And as much as I'd love to see some other iconic characters represented (Momaw Nadon, Kabe, BoShek, Muftak, etc.), my feeling tells me the remaining three spots will be filled by a regular lineup (likely a mix of Han, Chewie, sandtrooper, Luke, Ben, etc.). But who knows - maybe the May the 4th figure this year will be a Cantina one, or we'll get an add-on set at some point. Either way, I'm eagerly looking forward to this set the most! BrickBob Studpants Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 (edited) @Robert_88: New Dewback And the use of the Squidward head as prelim Bith is absolutely hilarious Are they even allowed to use licensed parts from other themes, even if it's just for prelim pictures? Edited January 1, 2014 by Lego-Freak Quote
Drock Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Nice find, Robert. But that cantina looks kind of disappointing, based on what we can see. Another Landspeeder. Meh. Dewback and greedo are nice as well as the Squidward band. May or may not pick up this one. Quote
cookiemonster Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 (edited) I saved a screenshot just in case YouTube deletes the video. commdr_neyo Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 (edited) Woah, the setlist, the new polybag (unfortunately no picture), and Mos Eisley! Really excited about the summer wave! Edited January 1, 2014 by commdr_neyo Quote
North Lego Star Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 (edited) I've just got the names of the summer wave of Star Wars sets for 2014 thanks to one of the hungarian online Lego shops. I'm sure all OT fans will enjoy this list 75048 - Phantom 6855HUF~20-30 EUR 75049 - Snowspeeder 278 pieces 10455 HUF~30-40 EUR 75050 - B-wing 448 pieces 15815 HUF ~ 50-60 EUR 75051 - Jedi Hunter 490 pieces 17715 HUF 60-70 EUR 75052 - Mos Eisley Cantina 615 pieces 21260 HUF ~ 70-80 EUR 75053 - The Ghost piece number unknown yet 26090 HUF ~ 90-100 EUR 75054 - AT-AT :classic: 1138 pieces 32655 HUF ~ 110EUR 75055 - Imperial Star Destroyer :classic: 36285HUF ~ 120EUR Happy New Year! Thanks for the Information menad! Well, here's my view of the sets... 75048 - Phantom: I assume it will be a small Star Wars Rebels set, so I'll probably pass on it, but I'm looking foward to seeing images of it and the minifigs included. 75049 - Snowspeeder: Another Snowspeeder, really? I mean it'll go along nicely with the AT-AT, but lego should really plan out their sets better, since we got one last year. Hell, maybe we'll get Wedge and his gunner out of this one, but lego seems to think the Snowspeeder is like a Jedi Starfighter, no doubt that I'll pass this one up. 75050 - B-wing: Finally, a chance to complete the rebel fleet! I'm looking foward to seeing the minifigs of the set, hopefully we'll end up getting a new Lando, Ten Nunb and Nien Nunb all for around 50$. I think this is the one set I'll buy for sure. 75051 - Jedi Hunter: Another Star Wars Rebels set I'll mostly likely pass on, but I am looking foward to seeing the Inquistor and Probabaly a New Jedi Charcter from the show. 75052 - Mos Eisley Cantina: I'm really excited for this set, but I'm also extermly nervous to see how it turns out. Most sets that we've gotten for this price range don't come with more than 5 minifigs, and I don't think that will work out for a Mos Eisley Cantina. On the other hand, Lego may be changing things around this year and we'll see like 7+ minifigs in this set. So I'm going to wait to see images before I decide on buying the set. 75053 - The Ghost: I figured we see this set for sure, again another Star Wars Rebels set that I'll pass on, but I'm looking foward to seeing the final product. 75054 - AT-AT: Well, it sounds like this will be the Biggest and probably most Movie Accutrate AT-AT we'll ever get. Despite this, I'm satisfied with the AT-AT I already have so, I'll pass on it, but I'm looking foward to seeing the improvements lego makes on this one. 75055 - Imperial Star Destroyer: Not expecting this one at all! I think it's great we'll see a new Star Destroyer, it's always an iconic starship that everyone seems to buy. However, I'm pretty sure that Lego is going to base this one after the Star Wars Rebels show, not the OT version, so I'll mostly likely pass on it, but I'm really looking foward to seeing how it turns out! Well, I guess I only have on confirmed purchase for the Summer Wave. We still have the Toys R Us Exclsuive set and Walmart Exclsuive set to be revealed as well as the possiblity of more Microfighters, so I'll have to wait and see the final product of everything before I make my final purchase decisions. eric729 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 (edited) Hmm. Interesting that LEGO is deciding to bring JEK-14 back. The Stealth Starfighter did not sell well at all. Now I wonder what the set on top is! http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/RA-7_protocol_droid - The RA-7 droid Edited January 1, 2014 by eric729 Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 That Cantina looks terrible, I mean, how hard is it to just put a roof on a Cantina? It looks so bare and incomplete, does Lego hate Mos Eisley? And, does anyone else here think that "Jedi Hunter" will actually be a chase set between Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Zam Wessel?
