Let's not start speculating about sets you think we'll see or listing what you want to see. Remember, that doesn't belong here.

I was just defending a viewpoint. Sorry.

Doesn't matter. The discussion of minifigs you want doesn't belong here, no matter what your viewpoint is, and as I've told members including you before, the OT vs. PT vs. CW debate doesn't belong here either.

I was not trying to debate. I was just saying that it wouldn't be right for lego to leave out some important, elements, from the summer wave. I agree the minifig thing was a touch off topic, but I was, again, trying to make some understanding.

I was recently trying to find a suitable torso for "imperial crewman" and there didn't seem to be one so it's nice to see one in the new star destroyer.

There's also one in the Micro Fighter.

That watermarked image of the cantina, is not the final one of course......since when did Squidward from Sponge Bob join Star Wars ?

Look carefully at the top left side of that image.....it's Squidward's head !

I was not trying to debate.

You can claim that that wasn't your intent if you want to, but you did in fact start the off-topic discussion of clones:

Plus that, we need phase 2 Cody, Fox, and Wolffe.

And then when LegoFjotten replied at least partially in jest and not directly to you, you responded with a counterargument. So, yes, you are debating the off-topic clone minifig discussion that you started. (And you're also now debating the application of the rules of the forum with a moderator in a public thread.)

As I said, what you want to see — what you think should be an important element of the summer wave — does not belong here. The "minifig thing" was not "a touch off topic", it was completely off topic.

CM4S, were your images removed, by any chance? I can't seem to load them.

Anyway, these sets are looking good! Looking forward to the AT-AT especially. Disappointed that we'll be getting another Yoda Chronicles set, but the 2 Rebels sets look promising!

Wow!!! A set list and preliminary pics in the same day!! Definitely didn't expect that as a New Year's surprise.

I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed with the Cantina. It's been my most-wanted set for years, and it just isn't what it could have been. I really wish the landspeeder was left out in favor of expanding the build and/or including more minifigs. I'm holding out hope that one of the Squidward headed prelims is Ponda Boba, but I doubt it.

Hmm. That's strange.

Here you go:

ISD

AT-AT

Cantina

I noticed in the Cantina, the big ugly looking part with a door, there's some hinges on the side. Maybe some sort of plastic roof? I'm sure it'll look fine when final pics come out.

There's a trans dome piece connected to the hinges, or at least the dome is drawn onto the image. I suspect that the final will include a tan dome rather than the trans one drawn on the image (Perhaps since the piece doesn't exist in that color yet they just put the trans one there as a placeholder, just like the Squidward head).

Also, it looks like we're getting a new Rodian head for Greedo, judging by the need for a placeholder...

Or maybe it's supposed to be Ponda Baba?

It also looks like the Cantina will have a functionality similar to the retiring Hoth Echo Base. There are hinges that appear to allow the structure to fold into itself and open as well. But at 600 something pieces, there has to be more to it than what we see

I'm sorry but I cant be the only one seeing this, but the new AT-AT is not only similar to the 2010 version, it's identical.

(Apart from the two cannons on the head).

But seriously what is going on here?

I expected it. The set doesn't seem to be UCS or that expensive. People were expecting too much. We'll get yet another underscaled, not as good as it could be, AT-AT.

Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if it continued to basically be the same model.

Oh well...

The stormtroopers in the leaked AT AT picture also have clone trooper helmets... lego botched it amirite?

They're placeholders, in all likelihood indicating an update to the Snowtrooper mold. (And it could use an update; the current mold still has the backpack attacked to the helmet while other formerly one-piece molds like the Fett helmet-jetpack piece were updated a couple years ago.)

These new sets look great. It's nice to see a resurgence of OT sets before they jump into the ST for the upcoming few years.

The AT-AT looks pretty similar to the 2011 incarnation, but I suspect there'll be enough of a difference to make it an improvement. It seems that the Snowtrooper is getting a serious overhaul, which, while really cool, will make all the current Snowtrrooers look lame next to their updated comrades.

The Star Destroyer looks similar to the 2007 version from the outside, but from what I can tell the inside looks significantly better and more detailed. I have a feeling that overall, the mainframe and sturdiness of the ship will be extremely better.

It seems like the fig selection for those two sets is a little lackluster. Hopefully we're getting an updated Tarkin.

The Cantina looks awesome! They've done a good job of revamping the old 2004 set, which for its day was a really great set. While the building itself is a little lame, the landspeeder and Dewback more than make up for it it my books. Also, the figure selection looks awesome. Greedo for sure, along with one or two Bith. What I really want is Ponda Baba. He's just a must for any Star Wars collection, and it's about time we got him.

Now I'm really hoping for the bartender and Ponda Baba in the Cantina. I like how the Cantina is somewhat of a pseudo building. The AT-AT better be a placeholder for the final. I don't really care for the ISD.
