The catalog lists 7 figures, 2 of which are Bith musicians. That makes the Bith and the unnamed 8th character both "new".

For the n-th time, I would kindly ask everyone to stop disseminating rumors as fact. And while I have an enormous respect for the work Will of the Hothbricks is doing, his suggestion of the Bith musicians as possible new minifigs is purely conjectural. While Bith musicians are a possible (and very likely) choice for the new mold in Cantina set, they are by no means confirmed figures. Confirmed as of now are: Luke, Han, Obi-Wan, (very likely Greedo) and Sandtrooper.

I was very surprised that they re-did the printing on the x-wing/snowspeeder pilot for the new microfighter. It seems like for whatever reason they weren't happy with it. This could explain why we are getting another Luke in the new snowspeeder rather than Wedge.

Yes but the Hoth pilots uniform are different with Battle of Yavin or Assault to Death Star II pilots uniform, gloves, jackets and boots but yes new release new print.

I was expecting for Wedge Antilles and his gunner Wes Janson on the new snowspeeder (another snowspeeder by the way).

You're right, they are wearing jackets, but I don't see anything on the old torso and leg print that is specific to the snowspeeder pilot so I bet they use the new print on the next snowspeeder set

Apologies, I was under the impression that the translated blurb I mentioned was directly from the catalog and was therefore more or less "official".

Although using deductive reasoning, I still think the case for Bith musicians is strong- the catalog shows three filler figures with squidward heads, but also states that there are two new figures, correct? This means that two of the squidwards will be the same figure, and although I guess there's always a chance at the Tonnika sisters being included, the Bith seem a much more logical choice given their prominance in the Cantina scene. I guess they could be using the squidward head for the supposed Obiwan figure, but I don't see why they would when they have a perfectly good Tatooine Obiwan from the Landspeeder set that they could use.

No problem, it's just that I would like to see a quality debate with some argumented theories about the contents of the Cantina, and that's hard if there is a progressive deviation of the discussion due to taking rumors as facts :classic:

Your "deductive reasoning" is exactly what I would like to see as discussion in this thread (and forum in general, kinda tiring and pointless reading two and a half word posts...). Now to the core of it: there were two minifigs with Squidward placeholders, not three, and Biths remain a strong possibility. There I have to hand it it you, you made me run and cry to Wookipedia for Tonnika sisters (which are a whole new layer of obscurity and therefore not likely at all), and I considered myself a decent 'hardcore' fan of OT  So thanks for the new piece of trivia

As for the Obi-Wan, he's certainly not one of the two 'question marks' figs, all the existing molds are duly represented (see the set to the right of the Cantina), they refer to the new mold(s). I made an analysis about Cantina possible denizens earlier, you might consider it (and feel free to comment).

I think we should stick to what we know: Luke, Obi-Wan, Han and Sandtrooper are a given from the description & preliminary image that we have. Then, on the prelim pic, there was this blue-legged figure with greenish head and a blaster opposite Han, I believe it's safe to assume it's Greedo. That's five that we are sure of.

Let's consider the 3 others: two of them are apparently new molds, for the prelim pic announces 2 new minifigs with Squidward head placeholders. Greedo is *technically* a new minifig, but apparently not a new mold, for we had a Rhodian with I believe the Separatists' Shuttle a few years back, that's why he is not one of the figs with question mark under the prelim pic. So two completely new molds and another fig.

Droids are therefore out of the picture, coz in that scene they were together, it doesn't make much sense to include them separately. Droid scanner is visible to the right of the prelim pic, it would make sense to position them there, not in the inner Cantina if they were to appear in the set.

So, still 3 to go, of which two are new mold(s). I feel someone is gonna be dissapointed. Ponda Baba and a Bith? IMO, very unlikely. To create an illusion of a band, you need two figs at least. So I feel it is going to be either Ezevan and Ponda Baba or two Biths. Argument in favor of the former: Squidward head would be a placeholder I would pick as representation of Ponda Baba definitely. The other one is that description says something along the lines of: "...make sure Luke, Han and Obi-Wan are armed..." leading to believe that Obi-Wan will actually need his lightsaber. Arguments in favor of the latter: two placeholders are identical + it's cheaper to have just one new mold.

The remaining mysterious fig is either Wuher the barman (plain human, actually as plain as it gets, they could put the original Lego yellow smiling head and Luke's body and call him Barman or Wuher and I believe nobody would say a word...) or another Sandtrooper.

Hope you guys liked this analysis. Looking forward to your comments.

Now to the core of it: there were two minifigs with Squidward placeholders, not three,

Looking back at the picture, I guess it is debateable, but I think there is a third Squidward barely visible on the left side of the page, right next to the other two: http://statigr.am/p/623709506052597517_248619904#/detail/623709506052597517_248619904

You can see the top of his head (with some eye printing) and a bit of his nose, as well as his hand. Admittedly, the head is too blurry to guarantee as another squidward, but the color seems to match and the fact that there are two seperate patchs of color imply a long nose like Squidward has. And although I can't be sure which hand belongs to which figure, there are definitely two hands to the left of the first fully visible Squidward, so there is certainly a third figure that wasn't captured in the shot.

I'm starting to feel like a JFK conspiracy nut- there was a third Squidward on the grassy knoll!

EDIT: I'm having a tough time finding the higher res picture; can somebody post it here?

And WOW!! I just zoomed to an insane pixelated level the pic of the left edge of that pic and it could actually be a third Squidward!! Well, if that's really the case, you are right, then we have our band!

So the second new minifig could be new print for Obi-Wan or the Sandtrooper :sceptic:

Greedo...

Luke will most likely be the same as the one in 75014. Dak will be the same as the guy in the planet set.

Greedo...

Nope, Greedo isn't a "new" minifig; he was included in the previous rendition of the Mos Eisley Cantina. He is also present in the picture: He's the blue bodied guy next to Han. I guess there's some room for argument, but the headbumps on that fig look pretty darn Rodian to me. So the third Squidward has to be a different character.

To put it another way, we know the set has 8 figures. From the picture, we can see:

1. Luke

2. Han

3. Greedo

4. Stormtrooper

5. Squidward 1

6. Squidward 2

7. Squidward 3

8. Not pictured.

So four are known, and four are unknown. We know that one of these unknowns has to be Obi-Wan. He COULD be one of the Squidwards, but I think it is unlikely because a) they have other versions of the character they could be using as a preliminary, and b) there's no reason to give a human character an alien head. So I am guessing Obi-Wan is figure 8, not pictured. This makes even more sense when you ask yourself "Who is driving the Landspeeder?"

So that means we have 3 squidward heads that represent two different minifigures. As I said above, the fact that we get two identical "new" characters implies the likely idea they are Bith, or the rather unlikely idea that they are the Tonnika sisters (I don't think there are any other characters with which a pair would make sense except for Jawas, but they are not "new" figures). My initial thought for the third character would be Wuher the Bartender, but as a humanoid a preliminary Squidward head wouldn't make sense for him.

But there are 7 squidwards in the cantina band

@Cult_Of_Skaro: That was long overdue, Chewy hasn't been updated in 14 (!) years, at least apart from the colour change in 2004  In the same amount of time, the other main characters have gotten at least 10-20 different versions each  And the new version is superior without a doubt, the old one doesn't even have eyes

Just adding if not found yet does anyone see the possible clear dome shape piece on the entrance section of the cantina near the boga thing the storm trooper is on? I think its there because it looks like on the back of the entrance there are the clips that allow for flexibility to go up for accessibility??? If not i guess its just an allusion! Thnx

Hey guys I have a challenge I've noticed something in the cantina can you guys spot it

I think i may have found what you found if not thnx anyway
