Cult_Of_Skaro Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 @Cult_Of_Skaro: That was long overdue, Chewy hasn't been updated in 14 (!) years, at least apart from the colour change in 2004 In the same amount of time, the other main characters have gotten at least 10-20 different versions each And the new version is superior without a doubt, the old one doesn't even have eyes Yeah, can't believe it's taken them this long. I mean, keeping the same version of a main character for 14 years? Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 I've pointed to the head and nose, and circled the two hands here. Ah, thanks! Personally, though, I really hope we don't get three Bith band members. It seems like a massive waste of slots that could have gone to other necessary Cantina figures, like Ponda Baba, Dr. Evazan, and Wuher. Quote
Kondor21 Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 (edited) I sure hope the new star destroyer is sturdy because i had the last one and my cat sat on it, then it collapsed and tumbled off my bed! And i hope theres not a stupid escape pod Edited January 10, 2014 by Kondor21 Quote

legos486 Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Just adding if not found yet does anyone see the possible clear dome shape piece on the entrance section of the cantina near the boga thing the storm trooper is on? I think its there because it looks like on the back of the entrance there are the clips that allow for flexibility to go up for accessibility??? If not i guess its just an allusion! Thnx I think i may have found what you found if not thnx anyway Look in the minifig selection box only Quote
arc Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Hey guys I have a challenge I've noticed something in the cantina can you guys spot it I've looked thoroughly but can't find anything that hasn't already been pointed out. Quote
legos486 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Did you ever think that the 2 new figures belong to the jek 14 ship making the astromech Droid redesigned and the protocol Droid and ithorian new Quote

jindianajonz Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 (edited) Cool, so that confirms that there is a third Squidward, Obiwan is the missing 8th figure, and that there is a bar. The fact that the bar has so much space behind the counter makes Wuher seem the most likely choice for a second "new fig"; obviously the counter was designed to have somebody behind it, and he's the only one that would make sense. (Though why use a squidward head for a human figure?) Ponda Baba remains a close second, since Lego loves to include conflict in their sets. This also confirms for me that the Cantina won't be modular like Jabba's palace was; if they already include Han's booth, the bar, and the droid scanner in this set, what could they possibly use to make a second attachment set? Let's keep our fingers crossed that we'll get more Cantina denizens as extra figs in other tatooine related sets, similar to how the A-Wing, Y-Wing, X-Wing and Tie Fighter came with figs that didn't necessarily fit inside those ships. legos486 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I guess we can take out biths as figures mainly because there's no where to put them Quote
jindianajonz Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 (edited) I guess we can take out biths as figures mainly because there's no where to put them Hmm... interesting point. But we still have 3 preliminary squidwards that account for "two new figures". Maybe we are getting two new figures and the third Squidward is a rehash (Jawa perhaps?) Another thing I just noticed and am curious about- The cantina is clearly designed to be folded up, with the bar and the domed room coming together. But on the domed room there's a little 1x1 bit sticking out of an otherwise rectangular (10x9) base. Anyone have any idea what the purpose of this bit is? It doesn't appear to connect to the bar in anyway, unless the bar happens to be 7 deep (which is literally and figuratively an odd width to be using, though the dome is 9 deep so who knows) It is also curious that door on the domed room is connected by a hinge, but the bit sticking out doesn't allow the door to fully swing open. legos486 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 The door next to the bar could have a hinge right behind the bar which would probably give the cantina two doors Quote
efferman Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 does this not look like a walking AT-AT http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/AB920174/lego2014/img_1001.jpg Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 The bar section actually looks quite decent! I'm planning on getting two Cantina sets anyway, so I'll likely expand it a bit as well. Quote
The Executive Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I have a strange theory. What if there are eight figures right now to the Cantina, and the plus 2 new figures are Wuher and Ponda Baba because what's the point of having an empty bar, but don't quote me on this. Quote
d-delay Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I guess we can take out biths as figures mainly because there's no where to put them I am even more convinced now that Wuhur, Evezan and Ponda are the three Squids :/ You too Spyderlord? Maybe they can do a Bith battle pack addition for Winter 2015??? It'd make as much sense if not more than the Guard/Gunners effort this year :p Quote
Lobot Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I'm not too worried about the figures that will be included in the new Mos Eisley, provided that we'll get a new Greedo. The cost of 4501 has been ridiculous, and it's already started to fall since the first photos were leaked, which can only be a good thing. It's one of the few sets that I'll definately be grabbing as soon as it's released. Good work Lego! Quote
Robianco Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 So the speeder is mostly red and there's definitely Ben sitting in it... the bar itself seems OK and can be easily extended so resemble MOCs of the Cantina. As much as I was really excited about having Bith band members I'm slightly more convinced that they're just placed there as holders and not as three figures of the same kind... as obvious as that seems. I really like my original Greedo and think it holds up to the current figure designs... if they take the same level of details they're doing now it should be a fantastic figure. The description on the previous site link kind of points to Ponda Baba being the point of conflict with Ben and Luke and Greedo with Han. Whether it's Dr Evazan, Wuher or Bith I don't think we lose out either way. With having an Ithorian head available adding Momaw Nadon is simple, Jawas are available... Lav Sivrak and BoShek can be made quite easily... let's just wait and see! Quote
LegoFjotten Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Looking at the two cantina pics next to each other, the third squid looks like he has lighter pants? Or is that just the color differences between the two images playing tricks on me? Anyway, the bar section makes the whole set look better in my eyes. It will be nice to get a Greedo for my collection. Quote
Legoman123 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I still don't understand how these slide-out floors are going to work in the cantina set. Quote
Brick Fiend Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Did you ever think that the 2 new figures belong to the jek 14 ship making the astromech Droid redesigned and the protocol Droid and ithorian new Good observation. Looking at the photo again it seems we are just assuming that the '2 new figs' text belongs to the cantina, when it could more likely be part of the 75051 Jek-14 set. Which means the three Squidward placeholders could either be 3 Bith Musicians, or 3 entirely new figures. Quote
Borex Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I still don't understand how these slide-out floors are going to work in the cantina set. I don't even see where these slide-out floors are? I just see a plate, nothing under them or something. Furthermore, if the 3 squidheads not going to be Bith musicians (and that's likely since there's no good spot for them someone pointed out earlier) i hope they will make an add-on with Bith musicians, just like i once designed in a cuusoo-project http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/31773 Quote
commdr_neyo Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 does this not look like a walking AT-AT http://www.brickshel...14/img_1001.jpg Could you eleborate? I don't see how it would or would not be motorised, but I have got neither version, so I don't know. If it were motorised, wouldn't it be stated in the catalog? Quote
