Renegade Clone Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I still think that the 2 NEW MINIFIGURES are for the Cantina set as people disputing this have listed several other sets the figures are referring to rather than a single set. Is it possible that the 2 new figures refer to 2 minifigures that have never been released in physical form in the history of LEGO Star Wars? This could mean that Greedo isn't classed as a NEW minifigures as he has been made before in an earlier Cantina set. I am not saying that the cantina does not include new minifigures. But the preliminary image in the catalogue which has been posted refers to 75050 not the cantina. Just because that image is below the cantina pics everybody assumes it refers to the cantina. But in fact that particular image refers to the B-Wing, set 75050. Quote

Phoenix__Phyre Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 FBTB has just released a report on the Star Wars sets at the London Toy Fair. They've said that the Cantina comes with 3 Bith Minifiugres. This is the link to the full article with details for some of the other sets as well. http://www.fbtb.net/2014/01/21/uk-london-toy-fair-2014-a-brief-report/ I guess we will have to wait a few more years to get Ponda Baba, Dr. Evazan and Wuher, Unless the LEGO Group is kind enough to release an add on set next year. arc Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 (edited) so just to clarify, the report states there are 3 biths, luke, ben, and a sandtrooper. and we already know there is a han. and I'm positive there will be greedo, so there is our cantina line-up. while I'm pleased the minifigure debate can now be put to rest, I'm very disappointed that there is no walrus man ponda. CM4Sci Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Greedo's clearly seen in the prelims... -Sci Quote

Fives Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I find it odd that there was no mention of the new Greedo. You'd think that such an update would warrant a comment. I'm just curious to see how much they've changed the character. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Personally, I'm glad we get three Biths, any less than that would make for a rather poor band Too bad for Evazan, Wuher and especially Ponda Baba though, but maybe we'll get another Aqualish character one day so at least Ponda could be kitbashed I think it's no coincidence that the new Yoda Chronicles set (a range which exclusively features entirely made-up characters) includes a Ithorian Jedi Master that could easily be turned into the guy sitting in the Cantina Quote
legolandia Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Thank god there is some clarification at last which means that we dont have to endure another 100 pages of speculation on the cantina set. Disappointed slightly that AT AT and ISD are slightly smaller than previous versions but that Advent calendar sounds quite exciting. Quote
Obi-wan Kenobi Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I'm sad because of Lego has made a big mistake,at least, they could have reduced the number of the vand into two members and give us Ponda or somebody. There is not a barman? If we get Greedo (it seems to me Greedo is in the prelim) we are not getting a barman :( Quote
legos486 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Doesn't make sense why would the description say make sure they have there weapons when there's no enemies and say recreate iconic scenes when you only have han and greedos famous scene Quote
