Darth Punk Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) No actually the band had 5 at a minimum and some times up to seven members. And I don't think people are disappointed about getting the band, they were hoping to also get another new character as well. Edited January 23, 2014 by Darth Punk Quote
ChiefPie Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 They are listed on the website, but only for in store purchase. Good! I'll have some new battle packs for my birthday this Sunday! Quote

And I don't think people are disappointed about getting the band, they were hoping to also get another new character as well. ok yeah checked up a little and it is kind of messy to determine how many there actually are but i can only count 5 at the same time on screen (some blur migth be a sixth) the cd cover with the john williams music shows 6 however some fanatic has established seven different ones (different instruments) not important anyway! i know they are not dissapointed about the band but in the beginning quite a few argued that 3 bith would be the least amount if this set should carry any credibility. now it seems there are 3 bith and it becomes a problem because everybody imagined a 4000 piece cantina with 100 more or less obscure minifigs!!!!! my point being everybody cried for TLG to make the Cantina and now even before anyone has really seen the set everbody seems to be more busy handing out critique than looking forward to it. korpen4444 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Dude, enough EU hate. Get over it. Besides, that doesn't belong here, or anywhere, on this site. I am disappointed we got three bith as opposed to one. I would've loved to get Muftak(cause he's a talz), and Pondo. Either way, I have to get this for Greedo and Dewback. Quote
donbarca Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 i realise that people have some characters they want but that would belong to another thread. imo there is absolutely no reason for endless posts about figures not appearing in a set. which ever mini figs people wish for belongs to another thread. it is hard and takes a lot of time to find the actual rumours in this thread. get over it or find the appropiate thread to post your opinion on missing mini figs Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I must admit, I'm not in the camp that's going to clamour for lots of obscure characters. At the end of the day, I never thought I'd see Bith in physical Lego form, so I'm happy. Is there any word on the if the Bith are getting individual instruments or instruments full stop? Quote
Darth Punk Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I think the only thing we know about the bith is we are getting Figrin D'an and two modal nodes. Quote
The Executive Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I think people aren't upset that we are getting the Bith band. It's the fact that this may have been the only opportunity to get Ponda Baba and company. Personally it's been ten years since I got the last Cantina, and when I was younger I really wish we had most of the main characters from the bar. But people are complaining because we may have to wait another ten years to get some of the figures we want. I just hope Lego doesn't wait another decade before they come to their senses. Quote
Ki-Adi-Mundi Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 With all this rant, i'd like to state something positive. I am actually pretty happy that we do get a Mos Eisley Cantina, a set as anticipated as overdue. While i would have loved to see as many alien minifigs as anyway possible - and admittedly something as exotic as an Aqualish would have been great - i simply welcome a new iteration of the Cantina. It contains so much we would have missed otherwise.Several Biths, a DEWBACK (!!!), finally a new Greedo, a redesigned xp-34 landspeeder and a build that's kind of worth it's name. And all this at a reasonable price, it seems. I really look forward to get this set and plan to get at least two of it... Quote
Renegade Clone Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Looks like we might get a more accurate B-Wing pilot helmet :) Quote
TheBear Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Looks like we might get a more accurate B-Wing pilot helmet :) And I'll be getting one to put in my build of your B-Wing :) Quote
donbarca Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 is the one on the rigth the new TLG model???? Quote
Robianco Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I think the B-Wing is odd (although I'm glad we're getting it as I don't have a system scale one) because we got a new B-Wing pilot in the Planet Series with the old helmet on. The redesigned A-Wing pilot was great... hopefully we'll get Ten Numb piloting it so I can BL the helmet and upgrade the Planet series figure. I'm also interested in whether they put him in a white suit again as he actually wore a red one in the film and the white one was just a promo shot. I'm interested to see how different Luke and Dak are from the figures in the Battle of Hoth and Snowspeeder Planet Series as they both had the new (before the Microfigures) printing. I was hoping the print for Battle of Yavin and Hoth would remain slightly different to go with the black glove/white glove difference. Nice that we're getting another helmet design too to expand the Rebel pilots. Quote

But your right, the white outfit was never seen beyond promo material and action figs. Quote
Inzane Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I'm really struggling to understand why people seem to be aching for minifigs of characters that have a combined screen-time of probably 10 seconds. I get that people like variety but come on, they didn't even have names till some lame EU story. I've honestly only read a few lines of wookieepedia on these characters, but they really don't seem to be interesting or even memorable enough for the average fan of the movies. That being said I would like minifigs of all the individual stormtroopers present at arrival of the emperor, preferably with back-story written by a Star Wars fanatic. Love it! My vote for post of the day! :) Quote
Renegade Clone Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 And I'll be getting one to put in my build of your B-Wing :) Can't wait to see the pics! Quote
ChiefPie Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I just went in toys r us and they don't have the new sets in stores. Quote
BJM Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Well yes - absolutely I wanted Ponda, but what I really really wanted in Lego was Hammerhead. He is properly the most exciting thing this summer to the max. No more Hating the Bith, or the funny looking Jedi will get you... Quote

Renegade Clone Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) Yes! The hammerhead will be quite awesome! Did someone say 'Hammerhead' Jedi !!! And 'Hammerhead' technician!!! Edited January 23, 2014 by Renegade Clone Quote
commdr_neyo Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Is that custom? Yes, I do not understand why the pictures are that relevant, they're old Arealight custom pieces. Quote
legos486 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I could imagine the star wars rebels minifig eyes being diffrent to the clone wars prints because they want the characters to have a more hand drawn look rather than cgi on the show Quote
Only Sinner Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Erm, have you listened to their music? Jizz is the right name for it. I have always liked their music, and I can't wait to collect enough Bith to make the whole band. More jizz for me, please! Quote
wyrm12 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I know we're just barely getting details regarding the summer sets but can someone share the typical timing for fall/winter sets? Personally, aside from the Cantina, it's hard fo rme to get too excited about a variety of sets redone from just a few years ago. But that's just me. Quote
