Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Is it me or is one wing longer than the other on the Jek-14 ship? Zoomed in and counted the studs, the wings are the same length. I think the horrible picture and angle make them look disproportionate. Quote
olliebojangles Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Not sure if you've seen this or not but over on the Chima 2014 thread there's a new picture that has a trans yellow lightsaber blade in one of those Chima swords. Worth pointing out as in the EU of Star Wars there are yellow lightsabers (and who knows, maybe in Rebels or EpVII), plus it adds another color to our palette. Quote
montgocloud Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 That B-Wing looks utterly fantastic; a definite step up since its last system scale release. I'm not so sure about the Phantom though, but official pictures of both the final product and the source material might convince me! Quote
Darth Nader Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Why did lego bother making the Phantom if it was going to turn out like that. All I have to do to get it is take off the cockpit from the y-wing set. But on more positive notes, that B-Wing looks pretty cool, and I hope it's worth getting because I really wanted a minifigure scaled one since last year. But that Yoda Chronicles set looks... Pretty cool. The last one was just a E-Wing with poorly made wings, but this one actually looks unique and looks really promising. I probably won't get it since it's not canon though, but still it's definitely something Quote
PenPlays Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 And here is the Advent Calendar (SPOILER!). Quote
Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Looks interesting. Is that a clone next to the the green astro-droid? Quote
Gremer Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Looks interesting. Is that a clone next to the the green astro-droid? It looks to be a CW clone with a Santa hat on, from what I can tell. Quote
Robert_88 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 This version looks a lot better than the 2013 version. I will definitly buy it! Quote
Clone OPatra Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Why did lego bother making the Phantom if it was going to turn out like that. All I have to do to get it is take off the cockpit from the y-wing set. It's not really LEGO's fault. That's what the ship actually looks like in Rebels. I don't think a design that pays heavy homage to another design is a bad thing, though. Quote
Robianco Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 The B-Wing looks really good and it's nice to get a system scale version. As much as the UCS build looked good it's not my favourite ship so better to get this one. The advent calendar actually looks like it will be worth getting there. I wonder what Luke figure we'll get if that's just a placeholder hanging down from the ice cave? Quote
Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 It looks to be a CW clone with a Santa hat on, from what I can tell. That's what I was thinking. Maybe it's a 501st clone since it has the blue arms. I normally get one SW Advent Calendars a year. Looks like the streak will continue. Quote
NovaSentinel Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 What's that ship above the vulture droid in the calendar? Quote
TheBear Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) Looking at the pic of the B-Wing, i think it's have to be Nien Numb (and not Ten Numb). The fig in the middle is Airen Craicken, in the right is the Pilot (you see him also sitting in the B-Wing) and he has the longest words beneath him, leaving in the left a fig with mostly a red outfit (just like Nien Numb). Also I really expected the Sullustan to be a B-Wing pilot but you are right, the guy in the cockpit is the grey suited one. So if the guy in the middle is Airen Cracken then it could well be Nien Nunb in Millennium Falcon clothes. It seems strange that they would give the pilot a grey Y-Wing suit, but it would be fantastic to get it since we would then have all 4 rebel pilot suits from Return of the Jedi. mordatre Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 The advent calendar lacks armybuilders. The santa trooper looks like a real letdown unless he´s got a lieutenant torso. The rebel pilot could be useful because of the updated legprint. Hopefully it will be the one in the microfighter and not the one shown on the prelimn image (from the planet set). Quote
Roflmao Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 In the calender it looks that the x wing fighter pilot is a black guy!... Maybe its Grizz Friz from a new hope... It Will be perfect! !http://static2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20080317203543/starwars/images/a/a9/GrizzFrix.jpg Quote

arc Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 The yoda chronicles set looks interesting, it reminds me of those wacky alternate models you used to see on the back of the box. Quote
ResIpsaLoquitur Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Who's the tan guy next to the Rebel Pilot in the Advent Calendar. I'm going to kick myself if it's somebody I should know but I'm not recognizing. I'm also disappointed at the lack of army builders, unless there's more not visible in the box. I'm fine with the standard fare of a Santa, a Droid, and I'm resigned to there being a Battle Droid somewhere in there. I was hoping for some Episode-III specific army builders like a Phase II Clone, an ARC-170 pilot, a Neimoidian Trooper, a Magna Guard, and a Wookiee other than Chewie. Quote
Roflmao Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Definitely It´s a white guy,Sorry :'( Look on general Rieekan minifig in the advent kalender and then the x wing pilot...the minifig head of the x wing fighter is really Dark!!!!!! Quote

Seaber Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 NB: Frix is easily made from a Y-Wing Pilot helmet and a Lando face. I'm hoping generic B-Wing pilot and Nien Numb rather than Ten Numb. Quote
