Obi-wan Kenobi Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Considering the astromech droid as ucs and sandcrawler confimed, does that mean there will be no Slave I? That is what it seems to be :( Quote
LegoFjotten Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Considering the astromech droid as ucs and sandcrawler confimed, does that mean there will be no Slave I? I think the astromech is just a custom build for the event, like the Luke & Vader models standing behind it. Look at the size of the thing, it's huge... Quote

anofficialstripeline Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 There are two star wars sets being posted on brickultra. Here are the images. lego 75053 is there, except file is too big for me to upload. Quote
legos486 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 (edited) Putting a stormtrooper in the ghost was kind of a bad idea but it still looks cool. Edited January 28, 2014 by legos486 Quote
DarthPotato Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Is that guy in the Ghost a Bothan? I actually really like the look of this set. I might try picking it up. Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Putting a stormtrooper in the ghost was kind of a bad idea but it still looks cool. Not a bad idea at all - it gives kids a bad guy to fight against. Quote
Darth Nader Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 No I didn't, I said it looked a little bigger and utilised one of the new "stud blaster" weapons on the back so you could fire the harpoon, which i thought was a neat feature ... :P Oh my bad, I probably saw that in a different article I do agree with you about the cool feature lego added though. The Legonater Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Is that guy in the Ghost a Bothan? I actually really like the look of this set. I might try picking it up. Didn't notice that at first, but yeah, that does look like a Bothan. Isn't this the same set with the Ithorian? Might have to pick this one up. Quote
Artanis I Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 This one might actually be displayable right out of the box! You've never bought a Lego set before, have you... Quote
Clone OPatra Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Didn't notice that at first, but yeah, that does look like a Bothan. Isn't this the same set with the Ithorian? Might have to pick this one up. No, the Ithorian is in the Yoda Chronicles set.The Phantom still looks crappy on the box, but in pictures showing it in real life it actually looks pretty nice. It kind of has a mini-Lambda shape. It's nice to see a fresh smaller flying vehicle - something that's not just another Jedi Starfighter. The Ghost looks pretty good too. Quote
ChiefPie Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 If it is a bothan spy that would be sweet. Quote
Tereglith Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 I love how the Ghost is looking - the final design is spot-on accurate to what we've seen from the concept art on the web, and I find the design very appealing. With the clean white form and the sand/pastel highlights, it looks like a lost McQuarrie design. I hope there's at least a bit of an interior, and it'll be nice to see how it looks once the Phantom is slotted into it. What I'm really looking forward to is seeing the inside of the Star Destroyer and the final design of the Cantina Band aliens. I hope at least a few people will be able to sneak some pictures out so we don't have to wait another three weeks for the NYTF Quote
wesker Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 The character in the bottom corner of the Phantom set doesn't look like he has a stylized Clone Wars face. Quote
vriverajr3 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 the guy from this video who was at the toy fair just listed the names of the figs in the ghost set. Not sure if this was mentioned yet. "The Ghost comes with Zab Orrelios, Hera Syndulla, Kanan Jarrus, and Stormtrooper. Character names on the Phantom were blocked, maybe I will see them later this week" Quote
namioik Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 the guy from this video who was at the toy fair just listed the names of the figs in the ghost set. Not sure if this was mentioned yet. Yes it was mentioned, couple of hours ago Quote
legos486 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 On the wings of the phantom it has those pieces that can slide into another piece. Quote
montgocloud Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 The character in the bottom corner of the Phantom set doesn't look like he has a stylized Clone Wars face. Same for the characters on the Ghost box artwork... Let's just hope these are final design decisions! That would be fantastic Quote
Darth Malgus Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 I wonder if "many bothans died to bring us this information" :D can't think of any of the sets I own (which is most), having a bothan? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 can't think of any of the sets I own (which is most), having a bothan? There hasn't been one before; a Bothan would be a new minifig. Quote
Artizan Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 The google search of the Rebels characters name didn't give any results, however, I think this Hera Syndulla is related to one of the Clone Wars characters, namely, Cham Syndulla, a twi'lek revolutionary from Ryloth. Do you think this connection means, similar style to the Clone Wars series? Quote
jrad26 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 So Ezra Bridger (former imperial cadet) is in the phantom? Hera is the twi'lek, zeb is the bothan (??) and Kannan must be the force sensitive one. Star Wars Rebels looks pretty interesting thankfully its not only human characters in their group...not too mention no more of the over childish looking clone wars faces. KEEN. http://www.comingsoon.net/nextraimages/Star-Wars-Rebels-12.jpg this would make an interesting set, what do you think? Quote
Praiter Yed Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 I've been considering buying the minifigs from the UCS SSD - but I started to wonder whether Lego might use the printed IG-88 heads as 'optics' behind the bar of the Cantina (they reused the bar props in ESB to make IG-88's head). It doesn't look like it on the prelims but that doesn't really make it less likely and if you think about it, it sounds like one of those fun little nods to the films that TLG like to include in sets. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this happens. Quote
Artizan Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 I wonder what the snow trooper commander looks like.. And can't wait for the rebel sets so I can get more storm troopers... I think he will look exactly the same as the other snowtroopers except for the small insignia on his chest. Quote
TheBear Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 I started to wonder whether Lego might use the printed IG-88 heads as 'optics' behind the bar of the Cantina. That would be a nice thing to do considering how much they cost, but I don't think they will! Quote
