Faefrost Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 I do hope that there is a bit more of an interior for the ghost. Probably not too much. In the video you get a brief glimpse of the back. It's pretty much a hollow open square. The safe assumption is the Phantom's wings fold up and it sockets in there, looking like part of the Ghosts engines. But not leaving any room for an interior play set. I think we will really need both sets together in order for the Ghost to be a decent display piece. Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 So, are the Rebels sets the only ones being shown off at the Nuremberg Toy Fair? Quote
Legoman123 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 So, are the Rebels sets the only ones being shown off at the Nuremberg Toy Fair? I think they are the only ones that we are aloud pictures of. But we can still get some more detailed descriptions of all the other summer sets. Just not pictures. Quote
Fuppylodders Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Im not really understanding the 'big lego reveal' in that video... It isnt a droid mech that would be released as a set in the scale that it is in, in the video, it is no more impressive than the Luke and Darth that were behind it... Quote
ChiefPie Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 When do the lego club magazines come out in the US? Quote

It's not so much a Lego reveal as it is a Star Wars reveal - that was the first time anybody got to see the character and its design and description at all, in any medium. Quote
ChiefPie Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Really looking forward to most of these sets. Quote

h22chen Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 I believe there's no such thing as "too many bad guys" when you are collecting to play ; in a good guy world, bad guys are everywhere! The AT-AT set seems great, but will they have a new design for the Snowtrooper? I hope not, maybe a redesign for the Snowtrooper commander (and that'll be great, a unique figure!). I just don't like unmatching stuff when comes with army building. Quote

From preliminary pictures it looks as if they have their little 'skirts' on, sorry cannot remember the proper name for them, so there is a minor difference potentially. Quote
h22chen Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 That doesn't seem too bad, the "skirts" might make them look even better. ha ha. Quote
Darth Malgus Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Thanks, it's been bugging me all day. Quote
Artizan Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 they are also getting new helmet and backpack molds. Quote
Sir Brickalot Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 The snowies are definitely in need of an update, it has always bothered me that the kamas were absent. Quote
Darth Malgus Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Yeah, the same with vader too, he has a kama on through the OT perhaps the new vade in the ISD set will have one? Quote
HJR-Holland Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 May I put on my gossip head? The separation of the headpiece from the backpack might mean room for Galactic Marines somewhere next year: I could very well understand if it is rather hard to only colour the helmet and not the backpack, when the latter is directly connected to the helmet. Especially in the case of the 'Mace Windu version' when these lines have to be put on the 'chin line'. Although I understand that with the Clone Wars series dicontinued, there is a slim change the 'Mace Windu version' will come (spoiler alert: he's dead when Star Wars: Rebels' starts), but I could understand other versions could come due to this change in molds... Saint Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Long overdue that the helmet and the backpack go their separte ways for the snowtrooper ! That holding me back buying anything Hoth related ! grtz Saint Quote
Ki-Adi-Mundi Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 I sorted the pics of the upcoming sets we got yet and had a closer look at the minifigs. It seems that some of them don't have a leg printing. While some of them may not be supposed to ever get any leg printing, some of the minifigs already got it in the (recent) past. It would be annoying if TLG were to continue giving us mixed minifigs which should be identical. It's a mess for collectors like me. Stormtroopers and Rebel Pilots are prominent examples. The prelim pics show them without a leg print although it would mean no effort to add existing prints. Yes, those are prelim pics. I just hope that adding the leg print for the minifigs won't be forgotten in the final retail versions - just to get it in the next wave again. Quote
Csacsa234 Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 May I put on my gossip head? The separation of the headpiece from the backpack might mean room for Galactic Marines somewhere next year My thoughts exactly! It will be so great to get Galactic Marine minifigs. On the Rebels sets; The Phantom looks way better on the display stand, than on the box. I might change my mind and get it, still curious how it connects to the Ghost. Quote
jnd2k3 Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Who are the third and fourth characters in the ISD lineup? You know, to me the third looks like a female character... Two names..... I am calling Mara Jade on this possible "Rebels" set..... just throwing that out there for now... Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Who are the third and fourth characters in the ISD lineup? You know, to me the third looks like a female character... Two names..... I am calling Mara Jade on this possible "Rebels" set..... just throwing that out there for now... The lineup is Stormtrooper, Imperial Officer (Captain regular 3 red/3 blue insignia), Death Star/Navy Trooper, imperial Crew member (those guys who went to search in the Falcon in ANH and got knocked out), Darth Vader. The first leaked pic had a much clearer, drawn version of the lineup that was exactly the same. One new fig, nothing exciting at all. May I put on my gossip head? The separation of the headpiece from the backpack might mean room for Galactic Marines somewhere next year: I could very well understand if it is rather hard to only colour the helmet and not the backpack, when the latter is directly connected to the helmet. Especially in the case of the 'Mace Windu version' when these lines have to be put on the 'chin line'. Although I understand that with the Clone Wars series dicontinued, there is a slim change the 'Mace Windu version' will come (spoiler alert: he's dead when Star Wars: Rebels' starts), but I could understand other versions could come due to this change in molds... It was made with the Marines in mind, that´s for sure. I hope the trend of three BPs continues and we get some Marines in 2015. But you can definitely forget the Windu version, that guy never appeared in anything and is just a variant Hasbro made because they like to waste time designing new clone trooper markings apparently. And I wouldn´t put TCW sets out of the equation just now, the show is still known/popular and Disney has the rights to the last 13 episodes, I think the chance of irregular sets based on it like how they did for the Prequels during 2007-2011 even when they will use the next few years mainly to push out stuff based on Rebels and the new films. The republic artillery and Police gunship will still be available in summer 2015. Quote
North Lego Star Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Although I was wasn't expecting much, the Star Wars Rebels sets look really good! The Phantom is actually a nice little set that looks farily decent, but the Ghost is probably one of the better sets I've seen in awhile. It's a pretty large set that seems to be very well built and comes with some nice new minifigs that don't have the CW faces, all for the farily cheap price of 90$. Concerning the possiblity of getting Galactic Marines since the Snowtrooper Armor is being updated, I would say is very likely. I would even say it's possible we'll see a set like this for the large 2014 Summer Exclsuive... -Republic UT-AT Walker: Ki-Adi Mundi, Commander Bacara, Galatic Marine(x2), Heavy Super Battle Droid(x2), Crab Droid-89.99$ Can't wait to see pictures at the New York Toy Fair on Febuary 16th! Quote
Legoman123 Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 We still don't know what the two UCS sets are going to be, or the two summer exclusives. This makes me think that we could see Galactic Marines like 'North Lego Star' said. Quote
