TheBear Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Seriously!? I would be so annoyed if this is how we see all stormtroopers from now on, the print in particular is so disproportionate, but I guess this is how kids are gonna see them. I don't really understand what you mean by disproportionate, it looks perfectly to scale with the minifigure proportions. If you compare it to an OT stormtrooper I think it looks a lot more accurate and clear than the previous printing. Quote
DarthTwoShedsJackson Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 To be honest, I, too, was a bit offput by the new print. But I guess it's just a matter of getting used to it. Quote
Legoman123 Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 The printing is only for the Rebels TV show though. Quote
ablake90 Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 I don't really understand what you mean by disproportionate, it looks perfectly to scale with the minifigure proportions. If you compare it to an OT stormtrooper I think it looks a lot more accurate and clear than the previous printing. To begin with it has curved hips (like a female fig) even though the belt spreads across all the way, the belt itself is a step back from the current design. The leg print is so basic and might aswell not be there and the blocky man boobs just look stupid. The helmet isn't so bad I like that eyes meet the brow and the blue markings are an improvement. Like I've said before some mini figs are just perfect as they are and this seems like a huge step back in terms of detail. Quote

The_Chosen_1 Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 (edited) According to a Star Wars collecting podcast that I listened to yesterday, all Star Wars merchandise later this year will feature the Rebels stormtrooper, and if the product itself isn't from Rebels it simply won't feature the show's logo. (But I suppose we'll find out for sure soon enough!) Edited February 15, 2014 by The_Chosen_1 Quote

Admiral-Ackbar Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 The New York Toy Fair begins tomorrow, right? As far as I know, yes, and I believe pictures can be taken as well so we'll get a good look at the summer sets! Quote
Flieger Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 I just saw the first four episodes of the Clone Wars Season 6. Not much materiel for Lego so far: some Kaminoan craft, a Taxi, shielded troopers... But, seeing Kamino again, I think we need a Kamino set. (But the episodes were good! More background on Order 66). Flieger Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 They were regularily aired on Super RTL, Germany, as planned. Quote
just2good Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 According to the New York Toy Fair press release, Mos Eisley Cantina and the Imperial Star Destroyer will be $70 and $120 USD respectively. Not bad. Quote
Fives Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 So I'm not sure if this is old news, but there are a couple of short videos on starwars.com showcasing Ezra Bridger and Kanan Jarrus. http://starwars.com It gives a bit more context on who the characters. They seem extremely interesting, and make the sets even more appealing than they already are. Quote
Flieger Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 To be honest I find them rather stereotype characters... Kanan may work out well, because - stereotype or not - such a character can be amazing. Ezra however makes me feel like it is a kids show, again. I have mixed feelings. But indeed, getting more background makes the sets more interesting! What happened to the Inquisitor set? Any news on that? We all know that baddies sell well. Quote
LegoKol Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 How'd you see those episodes already? Netflix will apparently be offering all 13 completed episodes of Clone Wars season 6 starting March 7. Quote
wesker Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 What happened to the Inquisitor set? Any news on that? We all know that baddies sell well. I don't remember hearing anything about an Inquisitor set. Quote
Flieger Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 (edited) I don't remember hearing anything about an Inquisitor set. I mean the 75051 "Jedi Hunter" set, which probably features the Inquisitor from Star Wars Rebels. Edit: never mind, it seems to be a Yoda chronicles set. My bad... Netflix will apparently be offering all 13 completed episodes of Clone Wars season 6 starting March 7. For some reason, we got them earlier in Germany, which is unusual, but I don't complain, even though I prefer the English dub. You can watch them for free (if you have a German IP, I guess): http://www.superrtln...-clone-wars.php But I recommend watching them on the big TV screen, and the stream does not seem to allow the quality... Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 The pricing has been good and looks like it's going to continue to be good this year. I'm really hoping to see more details on the ISD, specifically the bottom. Quote

The Cantina set looks pretty good to me :) And the new snowtroopers look more badass that the previous ones I would like to see a closer look of the sandtrooper though. eric729 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Thanks for the link! Anyone else the the Vader in the ISD seems a bit off? Any why does he have a flesh head? The Stormtrooper in the ISD seems to be the Rebels design. Quote
