wesker Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Seems they swapped out seats for a trapdoor play feature. You can see it on the back of the box: http://www.fbtb.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/QO5C4252.jpg Quote
Clone OPatra Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Holy cow, are those Collectible MF bases in grey on the legs? I never thought we'd see those show up in sets. That's pretty cool. Quote
Snowspeeder Pilot Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Han Solo from microfighter is the same from Cantina set, right? Quote
ResIpsaLoquitur Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Sorry if this has been asked already, but is there any word on whether the completed Yoda Chronicles DVD will come with a minifigure? It looks like it's coming out in a few weeks. No sign of a mini, though. It'd be over the moon if we got a Lindo Calrissian figure. Quote

Darth Nader Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 (edited) Does anyone have more info on the interior of the ISD, like what play features does it have and how big is it, sorry if someone already went over this I haven't been updated with this forum in the past few days. Anyways most of the sets turned out pretty good, but the AT-AT is surprisingly mediocre IMO. It's much smaller and thinner than the 2007 one, and they both have the same amount of pieces. I'm also surprised they did a poor job on the interior. Sure the play feature is alright but I feel like it's a waste of space, especially when they could've added things such as seats and a little command center. My favorite will still remain as the 2007 motorized version. Edited February 19, 2014 by Darth Nader Quote

Ditto, I can't wait for those 4x3's light bluey greys......handy for city builders for sure ! Now, is it just me or is Disney and Lego being smart or just cheeky.....but you need to buy two Rebels sets to compete one ship......now that's how you make money ! Quote

Can someone interpret this for me? I want in on it. I think I was able to decipher MF as microfighter, but I have no clue what the rest of the comment is referring to. Thanks. P.S. AT-AT is awesome. romulan Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 (edited) scroll down for a while and you can see pics of the advent calender http://collider.com/...czdxfqmIcL8C.99 tsk tsk..one of the builders didn't push the bricks together all the way http://collider.com/...r-images-54.jpg I also think they need to do more Old Republic sets. Ships, bases, dioramas, etc from episodes I-VI have pretty much been exhausted. Time to expand outside of that universe. Only problem I see with that, is that you pretty much had to have played Star Wars: KOTOR to recognize anything from it. Consumers are much more familiar with the movies, so that might effect set sales. Edited February 19, 2014 by romulan Quote

The AT-AT appears to include this piece, the base included with each CMF, in light bley. Quote

Tariq j Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Just out of interest is that ball piece on the top of the cantina new? Quote
Cyberbricker Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Nice 2 see some detailed pictures, I see we are getting new stormtroopers for both "OT" and "Rebels". I thought they updated them not that long ago for OT though... Very nice collection of mini-figures, I will get all of them I think. As for the sets, the only 2 that I really want are the Cantina and B-wing. I'm just going 2 update my old Snowspeeders with spare bricks, because I like the new design on the back of the speeder, but I not going to spend 30€ on an other Snowspeeder, I have enough already. I hope Lego keeps it up with this quality of mini-figures. Quote
Mr Man Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 (edited) I don't hate the new snowtroopers, I loth them . Why mess with a fig from 1999 that looks perfectly fine!? This isn't adding obscene amounts of OTT printing or a cloth karma, it's remaking a helmet that didn't need remaking and has server accurately for so many years. I can live with new Imperial officers hats, I'll probably refit all my existing officers with them, but the snowtroopers new helmet was a colossal waste of money on a new mould. I hate to be that guy, but I think you mean 2003. But I wholeheartedly agree. Also, why have they replaced the black heads with facial printing with the clone facial print? The other one was perfectly fine, and in my case, preferable. Han Solo from microfighter is the same from Cantina set, right? Judging that he is the only figure without a "NEW!" label, I'd say yes. While I also dont know why change Stormtroopers... i have no problem with switching heads.... why would that be a problem really? I mean i prefer a head with expression over a black head with nothing.... Quote

That way, from the back, where the helmet meets the neck, it looks like the head is black, and when you take the helmet off, you still have a face. Edited February 19, 2014 by montyofmusic Quote

You can see it on the back of the box: http://www.fbtb.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/QO5C4252.jpg I hope those troopers have good insurance. I mean if they had a little zip-line to go down, it could have been a great feature. But dropping your own troops to their death? Maybe I'm overthinking it, but it just seems so random. Quote
Chills Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 FInally!! We are getting Imperial Officer caps that are true to shape instead of those backwards-slanted US Civil War type caps we've been seeing. Overall, I'm pleased with the new OT sets. Of course we could have more detail in the ISD and AT-AT, and the Cantina could be bigger. But I think I'll be spending some money on SW LEGO this year. I'm really very happy with the new minifigures! Quote

Oops, I could have sworn they were older, I just remember them with EP2 clone torsos to start with. In retrospect I just realised that AOTC didn't come out 'till 2002 . Quote

eric729 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 (edited) The head and hands on Greedo actually seem to be accurate. And also, anyone else think the Ghost seems incomplete without the Phantom? Nooo... Luke has been given the cheekbone treatment! -Sci So did Ben and Vader. Edited February 19, 2014 by eric729 Quote
darththeling Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 (edited) The in-focus images of the back of the boxes are very revealing in all the little details of the larger sets. For example, we can see that in The Ghost there appear to be two cargo hatches/rooms on the front on either side of the cockpit that the Twi'lek sits in. Probably not room for a minifig but certainly enough to smuggle something... this is a freighter after all! Plus, when The Phantom is not docked, there is a sweet little docking area that could fit some figures to stand (although the space is not enclosed) and two swing doors that lead to the top gun turret where Jeb sits. It's difficult to describe... but it looks like an empty cargo bay with a circular logo on the floor. Jeb's gun turret slides upward for easy access to place/remove Jeb. As for The Phantom, it appears that Chopper sits in the back piece which itself separates from the cockpit. This may be common knowledge from what has already been revealed about the show, but I believe that The Phantom may carry experimental weaponry... hence it needs to separate from The Ghost to attack? Take a peek at the folded up version of the Mos Eisley cantina as well... very cool. The only disappointing thing I can see is that the ISD has relocated the bridge to the lower level, eliminating the shuttlebay! I loved the shuttlebay from the older set 6211 and I wouldn't live without one. Even the little bridge is adorable. Anyway, this new version - it certainly looks more sturdy/swooshable so that's good. Edited February 19, 2014 by darththeling Quote
CardinalBricks Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 The new Luke head is pretty terrible, but you got to admit that it does kind of look like Mark Hamill! Quote

Also, why have they replaced the black heads with facial printing with the clone facial print? The other one was perfectly fine, and in my case, preferable. That facial print belongs to generic troopers from different eras, not specifically clones. I personally prefer some printing to a non-printed black head and as Alcarin stated, it's easy to switch the heads if you feel the need. Quote
