Could this set possibly be the Toys R Us exclusive? After all the set number doesn't start with '10'. It starts with '75' which just carries on from the rest of the system sets.

LEGO is changing up the numbering this year. The Simpsons House and the Sea Cow did not start with '10' either, yet are direct exclusives.

To all those that moan about prices I'd just ask you consider a few things:

1) is it not better that a set exists than not exist? One can always save up - but one cannot dream a set into reality

2) just because you can't afford it doesn't mean this forum isn't filled with people that can. Don't spoil our enjoyment wit your jealousy. Why not harass people on an Aston Martin forum instead...

3) why would lego ever listen to your moaning when it is directed in such an absurd way? You are angry this set exists?!

This is a thread where people come to discuss the year's new releases in the Star Wars' line. Some people may like the prices, the choice of figures included, the number of bricks used and/or the pricing and some others may not. It is their right to praise or complain about the pricing. We are individuals and have different ideas/opinions. We are not sheep. I think you need to update the understanding of a forum.

And by the way, I like Aston Martin and am registered in one of their forums so you inviting people here to go and harass us there is not nice. Just because you havent got enough money to buy an Aston Martin doesnt mean you have to spoil the fun for those who have.

I think he meant that people think that their complaining is going to affect lego somehow. That's what it seems like some people are trying to do. They are trying to get lego to stop production of the set somehow, like some did with the seacow. But did the sea cow get made? Yes. Did the simpsons house? Yes. And so will this.

I'm sure lego monitors for feedback for future sets but isn't going to stop production because of a few complaints. Because how much do the people on here really represent in terms of sales? Some would think a great deal, but I bet it's pretty small.

Unlikely 'kids' are the target market for a set like the SC, most parents won't drop 300 (assuming) for a present and being OT related kids won't be familiar and want it as much as an AFOLs would

Yes I think he means that in point 3 and I do agree with him on that. However point 1 and 2 were more general (unless I am misreading them). I just dont want people to come complaining about prices at the Aston Martin forum :grin:

It's coming no matter what, so please don't be silly and get angry at people who don't like the set. You're still going to be able to buy it at an inflated price, although I would suggest waiting, because this appears to be a set that will go on sale relatively quickly.

Well, that's a bit disappointing. That lessens the chances of getting an Aunt Beru minifigure.

I'm sure it'll go on sale but probably not as quickly as the B-Wing.

For the right price, I will most likely pick up this set.

Me too. I kind of like this new sandcrawler. I would rather only pay half of the rumored $300 price, of course. I missed out on the first one, so this is a fine set for those of us who never got the chance to get an official sandcrawler. Kind of ugly, but then again it really does match the cource material.

What are the other minifigures?

Just speculating, but my guess is 8 or 9 Minifigs and a few brick built droids

3 Jawa's (shown in picture, and in Lego's mind 3 is the representation for a group of)

Owen Lars (shown in picture)

C3PO (core to scene)

R2D2 (core to scene)

R5D4 (core to scene)

3B6-RA-7 (we know they have a new mold for him. An alt color is also in the Jedi Scout Fighter)

Tatooine Luke Skywalker (core to scene)

I'm pretty sure these forums are not being monitored for feedback by TLG the way some poster here obviously hope they are. And whining incoherently ("I totally hate this and that ...!") about what might even be, for all you know, just a blurry image of a concept model is definitely not going to help your case.

I for one am very excited about this new Sandcrawler. Just from that one picture we have, it looks like a really great set. I missed the first set, so it'll be good to have a new chance to get this in my collection.

My predictions for the minifig list is this:

Owen Lars

Beru Lars (I just really think this would be a nice fig to have, but it may not happen)

C-3P0 (new leg print)

R2-D2

3 Jawas

Luke

R4-D4

Protocol Droid (like in the upcoming Yoda Chronicles set)

Yeah, I'm having a hard time thinking this will be 3000 pieces. I mean most of the exterior is plates. And while it may be longer than the last sandcrawler looking at the spacing of the wheels it doesn't seem to be any wider (Maybe even slightly more narrow). I feel like this will be closer to 2000 pieces.

Really, an insignificant character that gets a total of 5min movie time is a deal breaker for you, we getting the sandcrawler!, AFOLs should rejoice that finally we are not submitted to rape prices on ebay to own one

I guess that around 300 of them will be in the tracks You're right though, the rumoured part count does seem rather high for the model that we've seen. I'm quietly hoping that it has some PFs, a RC version would be great!
