ablake90 Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Could someone put the poster up again outside of Flickr I don't want to be forced to download the app Quote
Fritzy Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Does this help? http://shop.lego.com/fr-FR/LEGO-Star-Wars-May-4th-Poster-5004230 Quote
Borex Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Does this help? http://shop.lego.com/fr-FR/LEGO-Star-Wars-May-4th-Poster-5004230 And it also could be the duel in the Death Star II too, right? Quote
Kaitan Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 And it also could be the duel in the Death Star II too, right? Red/orange floor, blue lit back walls - Nope, thats definitely the carbon freezing chamber on Cloud City! Quote
Borex Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Red/orange floor, blue lit back walls - Nope, thats definitely the carbon freezing chamber on Cloud City! I hope this means that a cloud city is on its way. Quote
Darth Punk Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 They might just be using it because it's a very iconic shot. I would love a cloud city set as well, be great to get one later this year, though next year seems more likely. Quote
Lobot Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I'm trying not to get my hopes up, as they've been dashed before (I'm looking at you set 9678) But still a new Cloud City...now that would be awesome!! Quote
Legoman123 Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 It's looking likely that we are going to be seeing Cloud City in the near future. Quote
Robianco Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 It also reminded me of the original poster for Revenge of the Jedi. http://spinoff.comicbookresources.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/star-wars-revenge-of-the-jedi-poster.jpg As pointed out though the colouration of everything including the sabre blades says Freezing Chamber. marshall Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 I don't think there is any doubt that the poster depicts the duel in the freezing chamber. The rest of the poster includes star destroyers, B-wings, and Tattooine Luke, all of which are from sets already announced. Have there been similar posters like this in the past that included only sets from a current lego line? Quote
rollermonkey Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 I think y'all are putting waaaay too much weight into what's on the poster. The duel on Bespin is simply one of the most iconic images from the entire Star Wars series. Nothing more. I cannot see the Death Star finally being replaced by a new Cloud City now, with the new trilogy (relatively) so close. Something iconic from the new movie will be what finally puts the Death Star out to pasture. Quote
darththeling Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 (edited) It's not impossible for scenes or storylines in Episode VII to feature Cloud City... a distant possibility. Much like Rebels may introduce the Rebel base on Dantooine. There is much to come. Still... it does seem like taunting us for TLG to be using that poster image if they have no intention of redoing Cloud City in our lifetimes. Edited April 30, 2014 by darththeling Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Red/orange floor, blue lit back walls - Nope, thats definitely the carbon freezing chamber on Cloud City! [snip] And Luke's 'saber is also blue; he had the green one on the DSII. (Granted, you can't tell what color it is on the Revenge of the Jedi poster, and the 'saber was originally blue in Jedi, if I remember correctly, before they decided that green showed up better in the Tatooine scenes; but TLG doesn't usually make references to concept art like that.) Fives Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 I really feel like everyone is looking into the poster WAY too much. Its just a poster, yet everyone is tearing it to pieces and trying to decrypt some secret that is just seemingly not there. While a new Bespin set could happen, it would only make sense as an exclusive like the Ewok Village or Sandcrawler. All normal sized sets for the next year and a half will likely forces more on Rebels and Episode 7. I wouldn't be surprised in the winter 2015 wave is almost exclusively Rebels sets, since the show will have been on the air for a few months by then. After that, the regular summer wave may get pushed up to December to coincide with the new film, which will mean a significant dry spell followed by the most exciting sets since LEGO Star Wars started. BEAVeR Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 (edited) A new trailer for The New Yoda Chronicles is out, in which that UCS Falcon gets some more screentime. Unfortunately, there's a lot of motion blur, so I couldn't distinguish any particular features. A new Bail Organa can be seen as well! Edited May 1, 2014 by BEAVeR Quote
HJR-Holland Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I find these discussions of 'look in the right corner at 1:26 in the movie for 1/10th of a second, you see (random B/C-grade character) walking there, in which set will he come next year?' really funny. May I remind everyone the Star Wars LEGO logo of the year 2000? It looked like this: Look at the left there; it's queen Amidala. This logo stems from the year 2000, yet the figure was released in 2012. So really, don't get your hopes up by everything you see in official star Wars videos! (funny fact: when the first Palpatine figure came out in 2000 people still wanted a Darth Didious minifig, claiming they were not the same figure ) Quote

Jango by Commdr_Neyo ☮, on Flickr So in the end the figures or sets might be released, but don't take the 'hints' too seriousy. (And Bail Organa has been in several LSW videos..) AudiBobaR5-D2 Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Does anyone know when the summer 2014 sets being released in the UK? Thanks Quote
TheBrickHitHouse Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 8th May If only, although early May isn't unprecedented Quote
AudiBobaR5-D2 Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 If only, although early May isn't unprecedented So about May to June time? Got to keep an eye out on S@H in the coming weeks. Nothing as of yet, but hopefully soon. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 If I recall correctly, last year's summer wave sets were released on s@h on May 10th (at least in Switzerland, Germany and Austria) I guess the rumored release date isn't far-fetched when keeping that in mind Quote

I would have thought that the summer usually get released about June time. Might as well get 75052 and 75059 for the classis OT Star Wars. Quote
