North Lego Star Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 I remember, we should get the info in dec ... Thanks nrg, I guess lego's just doing a really good job of keep the summer exclusives a secret this year. I remember in 2012, we didn't get word of the Palpatine's Arrest set until, the day of it's release, so hopefully that's what will happen this year. Here are my predictions for the two exclusives will be... -(Toys R Us Exclusive)Trade Federation MTT: Jar-Jar Binks, General Tarpals, Battle Droid(x12), Pilot Battle Droid, Battle Droid Commander-89.99$ -(Target Exclusive)Darth Vader's TIE Advance: Darth Vader, Grand Moff Tarkin, Ben Kenobi-39.99$ Quote
wesker Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Would be great if the MTT and TIE Advanced came with Captain Tarpals and Grand Moff Tarkin. I'd prefer Boss Nass and an updated ANH Leia over another Jar Jar and Ben Kenobi though, especially when the latter is already coming in the Cantina. Quote
irispen Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Man, i hope that tie advance is true.. i really want to have one, i even bought 2 tie fighters last week to support it :p Quote
rollermonkey Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 (edited) I would be all over a TIE Advanced... Might even have to get three so I could MOC up a TIE Bomber... Edited May 4, 2014 by rollermonkey Quote
Artanis I Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Can someone remind me what summer exclusive we got last year other than the Jedi defender? I think it was the HH-87 Starhopper. Yes Quote
Tariq j Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 (edited) The minifig selection looks good. Boss Nass would have been a better choice over Jar Jar, but at least we get a Tarkin to add to the Star Destroyer. EDIT: Happy May the Fourth! Edited May 4, 2014 by Tariq j Quote
Cyberbricker Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Happy STAR WARS day all!! May the 4th be with you! Quote

And 2) the retailer exclusives usually don't introduce new moulds. Just look at past retailer exclusives: 2009: 7753 Pirate Tank, 2010: 8128 Cad Bane's Speeder and 8129 AT-AT, 2011: 7877 Naboo Starfighter and 7879 Hoth Echo Base, 2012: 9525 Pre Vizsla's Mandalorian Fighter and 9526 Palpatine's Arrest, 2013: 75024: HH-87 Starhopper and 75025 Jedi Defender; none of which had new moulds (just existing moulds in new colours) There are exceptions of course, the most notable being 7754 Home One. This set has sort of a special status since it won a TRU competition where people could vote which of three suggested sets should be produced and they thus had to introduce the Mon Calamari head by mere necessity Quote

Peasantseverywhere Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Had a full blown arguement with my mum today as she said that lego ucs star wars sets should be cancelled as lego should be aimed at kids and at the minuite its just full of adults trying to sell them for more and rip people off so you can probably gues where this went but wanted to know what you thought on the situation with the recent realease of the 2014 ucs sandcralwer which personally own and love Quote
VeggieWokker Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Happy May the 4th everyone! Most of my May the 4th orders arrived, including 4 tiny Revans and 4 posters . I'm now the happy owner of pretty much the entire 2014 winter wave. Can't wait for the summer wave, especially the cantina . Quote
Robert_88 Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 (edited) If TLG releases updated sets from time to time (like the 10240) then people won't be willing to pay those prices anymore. Edit: Happy May the 4th :) Edited May 4, 2014 by Robert_88 Quote
NovaSentinel Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 I think that a TIE advanced would be more likely to be based around the Rebels TV series, and feature the Inquisitor and Sabine minifigs, as they are the two main characters missing from the Ghost and Phantom. The MTT will probably be the £90-100 range exclusive for this summer, as it's too large to be part of the Winter 2015 range. Quote
TWP Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 That Tie and MTT are no "official" rumors pr anything like that, it are someones predictions. That said, I think it's more logic to have those sets in a "normal" wave, not as D2C exclusives, as they will and have played a maior role in rebels and TPM respectively. Quote

addemlit Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 http://www.hothbrick...captures-route/ Banthas! Banthas could either be in a Lars homestead or Mos Eisley Spaceport set. !! Those multicolored Gungans are beautiful! And we need a bail organa minifig now! Quote
Cammo Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 (edited) It seems that the Star Wars sets are ready for a June 1st release here in the Benelux. But the Mos Eisley Cantina is really expensive. 90,00 EUR for such a small set You can even get Jabba's Palace for that price at some stores. http://www.toysxl.nl/p/alle-categorieen/bouwen-maken/bouwstenen/lego-star-wars-mos-eisley-cantina-75052-#Omschrijving_loc Edited May 5, 2014 by Cammo Quote
BrickG Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Poo I think I missed the Revan. Just moved to the UK. Been way too busy. There's an underground strike or something so I couldn't get to the store in a timely manner (too busy to spend that much time). And it seems to be gone from the website (thought it was 3rd-5th). :( Now if I want it it's going to be like $20. XP Quote
Fuppylodders Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Now if I want it it's going to be like $20. XP £20... Welcome to the UK and its pricing ;) Quote
BrickG Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 (edited) £20... Welcome to the UK and its pricing ;) Yeeeah... have to get used to that... I can't say I like how many sets the conversion is literal. $50? Lets charge £50 pounds here! Yeah that's $84... 168% the price as in the US seems good! I thought Lego was expensive in the US! I want that Reven... might have to eBay... :( Edited May 5, 2014 by BrickG Quote
