rexusprime Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I think it looks great but I prefer the last one. Quote
Alfadas Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Nice set! That Boba with armprinting looks awesome! My wallet doesn't allow me to buy this set, but it is a nice set. Quote
namioik Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 They just keep updating his gun don't they, thanks just2good! Quote
TheLegoDr Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I didn't even notice arm printing at first. Probably too detailed. Pretty soon they won't blend in with the rest of the line. Quote
DarthBrickus Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 You're killing me Lego. Probably 200€ for arm-printing on Boba, a Bespin Guard, and higher level of detail compared to the 2010 version... I'll have to meditate about this. Quote
cavegod Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 At least it has a display sticker and new windscreen, but is there an engine? Quote
Fire spray 31 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 That is a new mold for the canopy! Looks awesome. There are some things I would change. I see they took a similar approach to the UCS Slave 1 I built. Quote
feed Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Now I’m generally no SW fan, but this has certainly turned my head. Quote
Manx Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Fantastic, but there could be a minifig or two more ... Quote
lomis Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Is Carbonite Han the same as the one we already have? The Carbonite block looks to be the same as the one in 9516: Jabba's Palace. Han himself also looks the same except for the face/head printing. ...and the Stormtrooper looks just like one of those in 75055: Imperial Star Destroyer. Quote
will Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I don't own a slave 1, but too be honest I've never really liked the design. Still on the fence about this one, given how much it will cost. Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Looks fantastic, but imo not +-€ 200 fantastic. I'm fine with my (Tatooine Skiff) Boba Fett, already have Stormtroopers and the Carbonite Han (Jabba's Palace). The Bespin guard is ok. Set itself looks way better than the 2010 version (which I don't have (I've only got the Bossk fig of that one) though. Think I'll pass and maybe get the 2010 version (2 local stores still have it in stock!....downside is that it's € 100) Quote
cavegod Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 The 2010 version is system scale this new one is ucs Quote
hachiroku Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 It's cool but, I don't know. I will wait for reviews. Quote
GallardoLU Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 but is there an engine? Its a safe bet there will be engine details, after all the old 2 had them, I just want to know as I imagine you do too, how well the new engines will look. Quote
ChiefPie Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I like the old one better. And this ones bottom is to big lol but it is UCS Quote
Ceroknight Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Looks awesome! I'm just curious though, is the Slave I actually supposed to be that big compared to Boba Fett? It looks like putting Batman in the UCS Tumbler... Quote
GallardoLU Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Looks awesome! I'm just curious though, is the Slave I actually supposed to be that big compared to Boba Fett? It looks like putting Batman in the UCS Tumbler... image of Jango and Slave I, if anything its still to small, but its fairly close, closest I think we will ever get from Lego. Quote
ArrowBricks Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I really like the look of the UCS Slave 1! Quote
Mencot Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 WHOAohoho awesome rumors were true. There it is, slave I Slave I, SLAVE I Please TLG take my money I have waited for this for so long image of Jango and Slave I, if anything its still to small, but its fairly close, closest I think we will ever get from Lego. Yes ofcourse it is still small then the right scale would be but this is close and will look good on the shelf. Quote
Only Sinner Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Thanks, J2G! You're the best, buddy. I definately have to get this. It looks to be almost exactly minifigure scale, could be one stud bigger in three dimensions overall, but maybe that wouldn't translate too well in the final model. I am very pleased with this so far. I haven't seen a UCS yet that was begging me to buy it, but this one.. Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 YES!!!!!!! And in actual minifig-scale too!!!! This will be a Day 1 buy for me. Quote
burstaneurysm Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Looks awesome! I'm just curious though, is the Slave I actually supposed to be that big compared to Boba Fett? It looks like putting Batman in the UCS Tumbler... The Slave I is supposed to be just slightly smaller than the Millennium Falcon. I'd say they got the scale as close to minifig scale as possible. Quote
Infernum Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Woah! That's impressive! Love the way they handled the front curve, really good shaping throughout the whole set! What's up with that one sticker on the curving section above the left wing (it can be seen in the photo on the white background)? I looks like there should be a second sticker on the other curve piece, and I don't see the sticker at all on the box art... Quote
