WOW! The rumors are true! I can't wait to get a better look at this set, but from what has been posted the UCS Slave 1 looks really cool.

I hope we get a lot of interior detail.

Thank YOU all for the great feedback. Now, I more inclined to do stuff like this seeing how it was a success. It took me a while to get this one, and I cannot reveal where I got it from... or else this will never happen again.

As promised, here are the high-res (original 1000x1000) pictures. Clicking on these will bring you to the large version in high-res (1000x1000).

Looks good, although I won't be buying. Does anyone know if the ucs ships sell very well? They have one every year so I would imagine so.

Hmm. I'm happy that its finally confirmed... but its not perfect...

The shape is VERY accurate. At first i thought the "satellite dish" (the bottom/base of the ship) should be more round, but its actually very accurate. The angles and curves are masterfully designed, with a low number of studs visible. Very good!

The big disappointment for me are the minifigs :-(

There was not much improvement they could do with Boba - except for the obvious arm printing. But i was maybe hoping for a new backpack, or a new mold for the hands with his wrist-guns (unrealistic i know). And I really don't think his new gun is closer to the movie version.

Carbonite Han is basucally the same as the Jabbas Palace version, and the Stormie is the same we got in the 2014 Star destroyer.

The bespin guard is cool, though.

What I really was hoping for was 4-lom, Zuckuss, Dengar or Ig-88... But none of those were present at Bespin in the movies, so its kinda logical. On the bright side this set sets the stage for more Bespin-related sets. As we all know TLG usually releases relating OT-sets in "waves" - like the recent Tatooine wave we have had. I have my fingers crossed for a new carbon freeze chamber play-set, or perhaps a system scale twin pod car :-P

What we don't see in the pictures are the play features (except for the hidden weapons in the sides). I'm guessing (and hoping) the sides of the ship open up to reveal a detailed interior - hopefully with holding cells for Bobas unfortunate prisoners ;-D

Is it the same as the one from the Super Secret Police Dropship?

nope, that one has angled sections this one is all smooth, I've not seen a windscreen like this one before.

Well, if that's correct, that's actually really awesome!

Where to start?

That is probably the best executed Lego set for Star Wars I've seen. I know that may sound extreme, but I have nothing negative to say about how it looks. It's very smooth and sleek, yet still bulky and imposing. I'm definitely sold in the ship.

Meanwhile that Boba Fett looks perfect. He was already pretty good and very much near perfect, but this covers any remaining element of Boba I could want. The other figures though are the weakest part of the set. I was really hoping for additional bounty hunters, as they have been lacking recently. None of the other figures are ones I really need or have been looking to fill in my collection.

All things considered, I'm easily sold if the price is below $250.

I do have to say-I am extremely happy with it except for the coloring. I was really hoping lego would get the coloring a little better from last time. I feel the bottom portion should have some sand red in it. All the same I will be buying it but most likely modding it out after I do. I like some of my UCS Slave 1 techniques a little better and might redo it. I love seeing what TLG does though.

After Bricklinking the Millennium Falcon and buying the X-Wing I feel the urge of adding another iconic ship to my fleet. It's very well executed and having a Slave 1 is almost mandatory for any SW enthusiast. Let alone a UCS version

Thanks for the photos! I really like this one, always loved the look of Slave 1 and this is a really nice version of it.

Minifig lineup is fitting too (another new minifig or a second Bespin guard would have been awesome of course), but to be realistic this is probably as good as it gets for an official set. Hopefully it will be out in October in time for the double VIP points.

There's a possibility this is the set that will be revealed on Facebook early October (based on the LEGO Store calendar). If so, it may appear is in November as an early access set but with a December launch.
