Now that is a ship... Worthy of the distinction, U.C.S! Magnificent, it made an instant change to my Christmas wish list. I don't think I've been this excited for a ship since the UCS shuttle. Well done Lego!

Indeed and I have yet to pick up the SC and Tumbler, funny enough this will probably sit behind those 2 in priority since I have the normal slave 1 and 2.

I picked up the Sandcrawler back in June; I figured that the MTT would be the last reveal for 2014, so I just bought it. Then, I hear this news, and.....sadness. I mean, don't get me wrong, the Sandcrawler is great, but I love this EVEN MORE!!!

^Yeah, I change mine too. I was originally planning to get the Star Destroyer, Cantina, and AT-AT, but now I think I'll limit it to AT-AT, Cantina, and The-Super-Epic-Slave-I-That-I-Love-And-I-Will-Buy-And-When-I-Buy-It-It-Will-Be-My-Baby-Forever.

best Lego official version of his gun so far:

[snip]

Larger than Pistol = Check

scope = Check

not a rifle = Check

long stock = never going to happen :sceptic:

if anyone else has a combo for Fett's gun I'd like to see them (if this is to far off topic, let me know and maybe we can start a thread for this sort of thing :classic: )

My version uses the same two pieces, however the black lightsaber hilt is attached to the back end of the pistol, to give a sense of the length of the blaster compared to a regular Stormie blaster. This also works well using either the pistol or the standard short-range rifle, but obviously not the long-range rifle.

I'm glad they added a stand and plague, I was kind of worried they might not because the sandcrawler didn't include one, but I guess it's because the sand crawler doesn't need a stand, it's more of a UCS/playset (like ewok village and Death Star)

Two questions;

Does Boba have a new torso print? It looks different to me?

-comic-book-guy- And, did they seriously give him DARK GREEN gauntlets, when they are clearly sand green in the Empire Strikes Back? Ugh! Worst. Color choice. Ever! -comic-book-guy-

Just kidding (sort of). Boba looks AMAZING! As doe the Bespin Guard and... The whole thing! I love it! I just wish I could get it... I doubt I can afford this... Oh well. It is still AWESOME! Great work LEGO!

(I have the old one, anyways...)

I've been a massive binge buying Lego Star Wars sets (64 sets since getting back into it earlier this year), but have held off on paying the premium for the existing Slave I sets due to the rumor of this one. Glad I held off because this looks incredible! Can't wait for this to release, and I hope it does during a double VIP points month so I can rack up a bunch of points. I have $25 off right now, so whatever the cost of the set is I'll be able to get it for $25 less. I LOVE the VIP Program!

^Mine all got lost, because Lego accidentally lost my account (no idea how). So, to make up for it, they gave me $10 to start, and double VIP points for the entire month! I chose to get the Sandcrawler, and the RGS, so I now have $50 towards Lego. Guess where it will all be going......

i wonder if this can fit with my system scales star wars lego? can anyone estimate the number of stud of this thing? versus the 7965 MF? as far as i know, the slave 1 is just bit smaller than the MF.

http://cf.geekdo-images.com/images/pic1396694.jpg

(image left in quote for context)

the new UCS Slave I is counting out to be about 58 studs long. where as 7965 is approx 70 studs long. also the image you have is no longer considered correct, official length for The Millennium Falcon is 34.75m

Minifig scaled, Slave I should be: 62 studs long (4 studs off is a 5% reduction in size, hardly noticeable)

and Millennium Falcon should be: 104 studs long (10179 was 104 studs)

however the 8097 Slave I, is 42 studs long compared to the 70 studs on 7965, which puts it perfectly in scale. so if your looking for a scale to scale match for 7965, your best option is the (retired) 8097.

Yes, the torso and legs are new, compared to the Boba that was released with the skiff.

^Where did you find this? If it is true.....that price is sweet!!

I think someone posted the price here when the pictures were revealed. Does anyone know the price in the UK?

So in Europe we get it for 199,99 €

Hmm hopefuly but I fear it can be higher. (hope I am wrong)

Now that the most "WHOAoooh, we are finally getting this awesome UCS set" factor has gone by, I can comment some of my opinions about the set (other then WoHOOO .

The ship looks great the scale is perfect and as someone quoted, it is almost minifig scale. It is not too big looking nor bulky. But will have to comment more after the press release and more of the official images. There we can see how big it really is when it is hold by the designers.

The minifigs are great, I am not disappointed, because I didn´t expect TLG to include in the set any minifigs other than a detailed Boba Fett. So it was a good surprise that they choose to include those minifigs, a bit as an playfactor also, because now you can recreate that movie scene when carbonite Han is loaded into the ship.

But as we say here "The will to eat grows by eating." meaning that TLG included those minifigs, they cloud had included one or two more exclusives to the set

Oh well overall an really awesome set and I will be getting it, hopefuly it will be released in October for double points.

One wondering, will Boba Fett have the same head as before or will it be an new print. I never felt the one used in recent years really fit with Boba, it was good for Jango but Boba should be more more scared and bruised. Hey, Boba never removes his helmet... there has to be an reason for that  (other then that he is the bad a** bounty hunter)

Bit the same situation here. Bought/got as a gift about 50 sets since last year when I rekindled my LEGO-love, and was looking to buy the last Slave I. Glad I didn't, because this set looks amazing. This will definitely be an instant buy for me. My current wishlist in order of importance (and the last sets I really wish to buy before the end of 2014): 1. Slave I, 2. MTT, 3. ISD

He removes his helmet :D

Yes that is exactly the head we need :sarcasm_smug::laugh_hard: But that hood should be included on the head, as Jango should had also (minor detail but)

I love this. I'm really hoping we get to see the interior, soon. Previous incarnations, except for Jango's, have always been rather disappointing in that regard. But, a USC and a huge, gaping hold, give me hope that they at least included a walk-way to the pilot's seat if nothing else...

I couldn't agree more, that's why I can't wait to see the official video from Lego! :-)

Same here! I do hope Slave I has somewhat of an interior. Whether it's just something as simple as a bed or sleeping quarters would be fine by me.
