Fuppylodders Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Im loving the look of the kashyyk bp and the DS bp doesnt phase me at all. A nice bundle of royal guards for my 10212 shuttle, and some emperor palpatine dioramas, and as Faefrost said, the gunners will provide for some nice mocs. I welcome the new direction (or renewed) of having 4 of 1 faction. Quote
Faefrost Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Oh, them's fighting words ! Remember these sets are now being approved by Disney not Lucas.....he's just sitting in the background counting his cash ! So I would guess that these and all future SW sets will follow the same path with what features, design elements and minifigs come in that set. Actually the decisions on this wave were probably still mostly done within Lucasfilms before anybody knew Disney was taking over. Now the Wave after this is probably 100% Disney influence. So expect a Darth Goofy minifig. Quote
CaptainBermuda Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 another millenium falcon? I'm not complaining, but isn't it unusual to remake a set merely a couple years later? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 another millenium falcon? I'm not complaining, but isn't it unusual to remake a set merely a couple years later? It's part of the Microfighters line; it's a really small, sort of cartoonish version that seats one (very exposed) minifig. It's not close to a System-scale set. Quote
Tariq j Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Are microfighters basically a modified version of a mini set so they have a space for figures? Quote
eric729 Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Are microfighters basically a modified version of a mini set so they have a space for figures? Exactly. I would have preferred them not to be able to hold the minifigure to the build doesn't look incomplete without it. However, I am loving that Clone Turbo Tank! Quote
TWP Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 (edited) Can someone direct me to a link to the pics? I saw them this weekend, but they appear to be gone now. I'm suprised CM4S has not already provided us with a link, because now somebody did ask. anyways, they are here. looks like he also deleted them . hmmm. so they are nowhere to be found on the web right now? Edit 2: found them here! (Link Removed) Edited August 23, 2013 by GRogall Link removed on request Quote
brick_of_legends Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 My opinions about the new sets: Vulture Droid- I feel indifferent. It just seems, uninteresting, and the Minifigs aren't all that exciting. It also seems like I could probably make the set with my own pieces. Unless its a 12.99 set, i'm not buying it. Anakins Jedi Interceptor- Looks cool, but, it seems bland.. not picking up General Grievous Wheelbike- OH MY GOD YES. I've wanted an updated PT version of him for a while, and the wheelbike itself is cool. Also seems that it might be cheap, considering that it was said that this would be a cheap wave. DEFENITLY BUYING V-wing- Awesome. I mainly like the size, feeling like its as scale as can be. Picking up. Droid Gunship- great figures, the Chewbacca is cool, but its a very unfimilliar ship so.. undecided on whether or not to pick up. AT-AP- Definite pass. overpriced and is very boring. Battle of Saluecami- I dont watch the Clone Wars so the minifig doesn't appeal, but I like the little BARC speeder and the little floating speeder. Kashyyk troopers- I like it because of the cool clones and the the new guns. Will be picking up Death Star Troopers- wow, I LOVE THIS! Royal Guards, and new figures! Will be picking up Quote

Zzz Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 All numbers are occupied and all sets for the first half are now revealed (at least by name) = and there goes my hope for an exclusive OT set. Boy I would have loved to have a 50€ Dagobah set.... Quote

This isn't a CW set, It is an EP III set. The minifig looks to be Commander Neyo or one of his troops.http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/CC-8826 Edited August 22, 2013 by jmagaletta Quote
TWP Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 I have them on my PC just to be safe. Yeah, I also had wanted to that, but I was too late by the time I wanted to do that. I think I will forget it this time too :) Quote
Nom Carver Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 I think the battle of Saleucami is supposed to be the counter part of the Kashyyyk battle pack but they included a clone to make it more appealing, after all, who wants to buy another set only for a bunch of useless droids, atleast we get a new figure with it. Fives Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Good work TWP, have we seen any pictures of the CW sets? Are there gonna be any? I think this is it. Quote
just2good Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Are there gonna be any? I think this is it. I think both (?) the exclusives are CW stuff. Quote
Fives Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 I think both (?) the exclusives are CW stuff. Ah. I'm still very happy to see the film based sets taking more prominence in the recent waves. Quote
Faefrost Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 I think the wheel bike set is my biggest disappointment. The build of the bike looks interesting. But it really did need Obi WANs ride as well to be a cohesive scene or play set. Quote
jasbury Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Are there gonna be any? I think this is it. 75045: Republic AV-7 Anti-vehicle Cannon 75046: Coruscant Police Gunship They'll most likely be exclusives, and probably the last CW sets we see. Quote

Legoman123 Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Has anyone got any news on the Utapau Troopers BP yet ? Quote
TWP Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 I'm hopeful that they will be the last. Hopefully the next summer wave will be 100% film based. They might do a SW: Rebels set, as it's going to premiere in Fall 2014, but I think that's not very likely. Quote
Artizan Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 I really hope the SW: Rebels sets will not have the awful cartoonish faces that CW figures introduced. Quote

Tom Jurassic Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 The Wheelbike would have been so much better with a new Boga, since it is an integral part of the scene. Also, a Phase II Cody would be nice, as would have a Magnaguard. Two figures and no new Boga puts me off a bit. Quote
