Alfadas Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 I actually like the CW better then Episodes IV, V, VI and I. Don't know why. I just want TLG to make more CW sets, with the new Episode II clone troopers. Don't get me wrong, I am happy with the sets for this wave, but I think CW is cooler. Quote
Rogue Angel Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Indeed! Revenge of the sith hasn't been in cinemas since 2005 and we still are getting sets from that every year, especially next year and the 3D cinema showings were cancelled for that so what does that tell you. If the company simply stopped making sets of the films that aren't in the cinema then quite frankly there wouldn't be any more sets until 2015 and we would've waited since 2008! Point is even though clone wars isn't on TV Lego will continue to release sets from the show until they have used up the material and planning for sets they have left. Lego plan their set waves a year in advance meaning Lego didn't know that CW would stop this year so its not a far stretch of the imagination to expect some more CW sets after the winter line. Rebels doesn't start til autumn next year! The earliest we will see sets of that will be December 2014! That is not going to be in the summer wave! Leaving a gap for the movies and clone wars in the summer. Logic gentlemen. Clone Wars is NOT the equivalent of RotS, an actual SW movie. The Disney move was known about internally long before it was announced, so which could have been almost two years ago now, which is probably sufficient lead time for set design. I would expect Rebels sets to be released this coming August, which would synch better with a Fall premiere, and I would not be at all surprised if we didn't see another CW set after the Jan 2014 wave. As for the cancelled thing, I agree with Legofreak. Just because the clone wars is cancelled, doesn't mean Lego's going to abandon it. Think of all the characters and vehicles we could get! And I for one don't mind the CW faces. Seriously, what's wrong with them? And characters I think some of us would want off the bat are: Ima Gun Di (the bravest jedi who ever lived), Yularen(after Rex, Anikan, R2, and Ahsoka,he's the only one left) , and Fives and Echo(the Best ARCs of the show). Oh, and about the faces, why do you think Lego Rebels sets won't have them? Quote

Oh, and about the faces, why do you think Lego Rebels sets won't have them? Here! Here! I have no problem with the CW faces as they are made to resemble the clone wars animation style not their movie counterparts so it would make no sense to have them share the design of the prequel and original trilogy stuff as then they would not look accurate to the show. Besides mine fit in very well with their PT and OT counterparts. In fact I can't wait til xmas when I can get some more CW I'm still missing Obi Wan's new look, Darth Maul robotic legs and believe it or not I still have no ashoka or phase 2 stuff. I can see another clone wars and star wars lego orientated Christmas on the horizon for me..... lol Quote
Alfadas Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Ima Gun Di would be cool, and Yularen too . Fives and Echo are awesome and we need them! I don't get why almost nobody likes the CW faces either. Yes, they are a bit weird, but that makes them cool! Do we know yet when the pics will arrive? I hope soon, can't wait. (but who can, right?) Yes but the clone wars cancel was sudden the Disney thing didn't confirm the end of the clone wars it just confirmed who bought the company. Two different things we are talking about here. The clone wars announcement came out of nowhere around season 5's last episode if memory serves. It was anyone's guess whether Disney would keep CW when they bought the company until at least a month after the announcement that Disney bought star wars was made. Think about this example. Lego's hobbit line was made to cover events of two films but then Jackson split them into three and expanded a new character throwing Lego completely off guard so they had to label two sets not set to appear in a movie til this December preview sets. If Lego didn't know anything about that til it was too late then it is unlikely they would have known that CW would be cancelled. I would be sad to not see them finish the CW brand of sets with the remaining important characters: Admiral yularen, Darth sidious, pre vizsla (season 4-5 ), dutchess satine, bo katan, an updated Hondo and I'm sure there are some more troopers left for them to make. Totally agree, the CW started me collecting, it would be a shame to stop, anyway they need to make more phase 2 troopers. What about Cody? Quote

Good point there! We need either phase 2 cw Cody or ep 3 rots Cody good thing is that the clones in helmets and armour look similar to the pt clones so therefore you can cross over your pt stuff with your cw clones to make the biggest army. mutley777 Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Wow, a Super pack that actually makes sense! Not bad, I would say this is the first I would consider buying. Quote
Tariq j Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Good find nrg, don't know why those super battle droids are firing at the corporate alliance tank I might get this. Quote
Mr Man Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Finally a superpack I might buy, it makes sense. Quote

I was merely referencing what the line could potentially give us in the future and what inspiration for sets exists from the series. Quote

Anyway, awesome superpack! Will it be for sale in the US? I might get it, depending on cost. Edited October 11, 2013 by korpen4444 Quote
Fuppylodders Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Is that a real superpack?? Seems awfully too good, as well as the cost of the AT-TE, superpacks have generally been affordable to a point, this one, well, £130? They generally offer little saving so I can't see it being rrp'd at much lower than that. I'll be surprised if this becomes reality. Quote
Darth Dino Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 (edited) Hi two things why i think this Superpack is a fake: I miss the "11 Minifigures" tag (oops it there but small) aaaand The larger set within a superpack is usualy a medium one, maybe the Y Wing or another 50€$£ set, not a 100€$£ set. Superpack are that calculated that you get the smallest, mostly battlepack set for free. If you do not buy at MRSP, those superpacks are not so super. Dino Edited October 11, 2013 by Darth Dino Quote

kermit Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 That super pack would look good if it meant that by getting this instead of all three separately that you save at least $10. Quote

HawkLord Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Really wish they sold these super sets at the Lego store... All three are still on my list and I could use the VIP pts. Quote

Well perhaps not all hope is lost for new Clone Wars sets after the winter wave. This was just announced so maybe there is a chance we might get a few more vehicles and figures from the final episodes of the show. http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/JoshWildingNewsAndReviews/news/?a=88411 Quote
Infernum Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Ah, great! This could definitely mean another set or two. Quote
Alfadas Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Well, thanks for sharing! I am not happy that CW will stop, but I think the new show Rebels (is it a show? Or a movie? When does it happen?) promises some good sets. Quote
Republican Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 but I think the new show Rebels (is it a show? Or a movie? When does it happen?) promises some good sets. It's an animated tv show that takes place between ep. 3-4 and is just like the CW except rebels. "Rebels," I am sad to say could have been a Live-action tv drama between ep. 3-4, but Disney cancelled it. Quote
