TWP Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 There should be a thread for the ever increasing prices of Lego sets, this might be an odd question, but to you guys in the states, do you call it legos in everyday speech? There is. It's probalbly somewhere on the bottom pages of the General discussion & News Quote
Lego Spy Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 (edited) Lego sure is keeping them pics from leaking out really good this year. That's for sure, what's taking the minimum wage workers so long to snag some pictures!? Or maybe it's the heads of companies leaking this stuff... I can see the images probably coming out next month. There should be a thread for the ever increasing prices of Lego sets, this might be an odd question, but to you guys in the states, do you call it legos in everyday speech? Isn't that a little off-topic? Edited October 30, 2013 by Lego Spy Quote
Obi-wan Kenobi Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 The final General Grievous has arrived!!!If it isn´t allowed sorry... http://www.hothbricks.com/2013/10/6342/ Quote

Isn't that a little off-topic? Indeed. Let's stay on-topic. There's a discussion about pronunciation of the name in General Discussion. As for pricing, you can discuss the pricing of upcoming sets in the rumors thread(s), you can discuss the pricing of a specific set in a review of that set, and you can discuss differences in pricing in Star Wars Sets, Anyone?. However, in no thread on EB is it appropriate to rant about pricing differences or increases. Quote
Nom Carver Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I know posting pics is not allowed but, I had to share this: http://www.tamayk.com/images/3/38509594.jpg I know its still a preliminary pic but isn't that droid ugly? Quote
wesker Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 The Grievous pics have been around for a while. Quote

Jarneh Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I don't see why everyone is so excited about the new Greivous. He's practically the same as the old one, the only differences being that his eyes are different and his armor is now white instead of tan. Also, all the pics I've seen of the new Grievous have his head on backwards. Quote
The Joker1 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 (edited) Seeing as the set is titled Utapau Troopers shows the set is based solely for the figures as any battle pack. Therefore they dont usually spend much time on the set as they know we will buy it no matter what they throw in with the figures. Edited October 30, 2013 by The Joker1 Quote
jay123 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Well Brickvortex.com seems to be selling the new grievous for 15+ euros Quote
Jarneh Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 The (Octoputurra) Droid in the "Utapau Troopers" set is still in the preliminary stages. The final product will look much different. Quote
battledroid6 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I hope they at least changed the legs on the octuptarra droid. Those look nothing like an octuptarra droid's legs. Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I know posting pics is not allowed but, I had to share this: http://www.tamayk.co.../3/38509594.jpg I know its still a preliminary pic but isn't that droid ugly? \By the looks of it......steam-punk Star Wars ! No, that brown part will be a different and correct colour when the set is finally released. Quote
jay123 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Seems correct but the head just kinda bugs me Quote
battledroid6 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 (edited) The legs are much better. But those blasters... Why do they have to be angled like that? Edited October 30, 2013 by battledroid6 Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 The legs are much better. But those blasters... Why do they have to be angled like that? They're flick-fires; they have to be in a position in which they're (sort of, in this case) flickable. Quote
Nom Carver Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 (edited) The final droid looks like this: -Sci That's an improvement but it still doesn't convince me, the only thing that could redeem this set is the airborne trooper. Edited October 30, 2013 by Nom Carver Quote
Bubble Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I am not sure if anyone has already seen this picture, but best is to see it before the link gets removed http://www.thebrickfan.com/2014-lego-star-wars-minifigures-revealed/ Quote

battledroid6 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 At least the "eyes" can be easily modified. Quote
