Cyberbricker Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 What did I miss? What Stormtroopers? On CB Europe they showed some pictures of McQuarrie style influenced stormtroopers for the new TV show "Rebels", those stormtroopers is what we are on about. Quote
Empire911 Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 On the LEGO Star Wars lecture yesterday on Star Wars Celebration in Essen they said that there will be a whole new Original Trilogy series. The_Chosen_1 Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Were there members of the Lego Star Wars team at said panel? If not, I don't know how they could know what's coming. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 I know that TLG had two booths; I don't know if they were speaking. They weren't specifically listed as LEGO Star Wars, but considering that this is Star Wars Celebration, the TLG team that was there was most likely Star Wars-focused. Quote

If the Ewok Village is a success (and I'm sure it will) it would make sense to have a couple of add-on sets; possibly some larger trees, the dish, or even the landing platform. It's a nice thought, if nothing else! Quote

That sounds great, minus the hoth part, Lego has made a ton of those over the past few years. But what I am really hoping for is a sandcrawler set, we haven't seen one of those in a while. Anyways are you sure pictures should be coming in two weeks? Did someone tell you this or are you just assuming from previous years? But either way I hope you're right because I'm excited to see those pics coming up Quote

Is that just in the USA? Because different countries may get pics at different times. BTW I found an image: http://gaming.icito.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/legoreiner7.jpg it seems to be something out of the yoda chronicles is it an upcoming set? Brickdoctor Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Is that just in the USA? Because different countries may get pics at different times. These Winter Wave sets aren't unveiled at a Toy Fair as the Summer Wave sets are, so other than the one or two sets that get revealed at a convention, we typically see the 'Confidential' images* from retailer catalogs first, and usually not from the US. (Besides, why would it matter which country got pictures first? They'll get to the members in other countries fairly quickly over the internet.)*This is probably a good time to remind members that the watermarked 'Confidential' images that usually are the first seen of the Winter Waves are not to be embedded on EB. And they said that a UCS Sandcrawler isn't expected for the coming years. But I think that a Sandcrawler in the regular series is always possible, ... Is that just in the USA? BTW I found an image: http://gaming.icito.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/legoreiner7.jpg it seems to be something out of the yoda chronicles is it an upcoming set? That was a special promotional set sent to journalists in the spring. It is a set of half of the Jedi Holocron room with Yoda and 2 Padawans. (Basically reused torsos and heads) . I do not believe it is intended to ever be released as a regular retail set. A few can be found on eBay and Bricklink, and the instructions and parts lists are available online to make it yourself. It will be something like Tatooine, Hoth and Endor sets, they said nothing more. Pics of the 2014 sets will be expected in 2 weeks. It's reasonable to guess that a good amount of 2014 sets will be OT focused leading up to 2015s episode VII. I think we can expect some Endor love, especially in Battle packs, just to flesh out the Ewok village a bit more. Quote

Are they even part of Lego's display as they certainly arent Lego looking? No, the cutouts have nothing whatsoever to do with Lego. They are simply large versions of the "Star Tots" given away at the Celebration Europe collecting panels: http://www.starwarscelebration.eu/Whats-Happening/Events-A-H/Collectibles--Collecting/ Quote

Wardancer Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 What kind of green lamp or gem is this at the top of the AT-AP? It does neither look look like a jewel nor like a 1x1 round tile. Might this be a new type of translucent shiny thing? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Remember the purpose of this topic! Discussion of sets you want to see or which you think we'll see belongs in Future Star Wars Sets, and that includes concepts such as the Ghost that seem to be a certainty as a set. If there's no rumor or confirmation of a set, then discussion about it doesn't belong here, no matter how obvious it might seem that such a set will eventually be a reality. In the case of more OT sets, the only rumor/fact we have is that there will be more OT sets and a hint that they'll be Tatooine, Hoth, Endor ; we have no rumors of what sets those will be. Therefore, discussion of the prospect of more OT sets, hinted at to be from those three planets, is okay here, but discussion of the specific OT sets that you think we'll see or that you want to see belongs in Future Star Wars Sets. And at this point, all discussion of Rebels sets belongs in Future Star Wars Sets. Stay on topic, please! Thanks. I'll move some posts. What kind of green lamp or gem is this at the top of the AT-AP? It does neither look look like a jewel nor like a 1x1 round tile. Might this be a new type of translucent shiny thing? Someone on flickr mentioned that it was a recolor of this piece. (Notice how there's a bar of trans green extending back through the turret towards the minifig's chest.) Quote
Obi-wan Kenobi Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Hello,I´m new in the forum,I have been watching your topics.About the 2014 sets,I wonder that the AT-AP is better than the older, but I cannot ask my mark until I didn´t see the mods.I have a question:Is it real that there will be a Zam Wessel´s set with her airspeeder or it´s a wrong rumor? Sorry if my english is as good as it must be,i´m from Spain. Quote

I do remember that someone said they wanted to see a new speeder chase set, but I don't think there was every any real rumor that such a set would be coming. As far as we know, it's just someone's wish, not a rumor. Quote
Obi-wan Kenobi Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Thank´s BrickDoctor,so,we only know one confirmed set,the AT-AP no? If the battlepacks will be only for example for clones,I want o see a real sized AT-RT with maybe a little of vegetation and an AT-RT driver and other clones, but It´s near impossible, because the 2013 clone wars AT-RT,so much bigger from the reality. So other idea will be a Kashyyyk barricade, with a clone sniper, and other 41st corps clones and maybe wookies. What ideas do you have for the battepacks?
