Darth Malgus Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 If the UCS sandcrawler is true I'd like to see a few tuskens, perhaps they could do something with the Zabrek head piece mould that would look more tuskenesque... Quote
nrg Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I think, if the Sandcrawler has the setnumber 75059, than the Slave 1 has the 75060 setnumber. If the Sandcrawler 75059 than we will have 12 summer sets from 75047 to 75058, which means there will be 9 regular summer sets, 1 advent calendar and 2 hard to find sets. - IF i have right.... Quote
BigJoe Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I'd love to see some Jawas! ... As well as the Tusken Raiders, Luke's Farm, and some Sandtroopers. there has already been jawas but some updated versions would be nice Quote
jindianajonz Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 That would be amazing! :) I'd love to get a new Sandcrawler (and new Jawas). But 299 for 1600 parts would be quite expensive. Even for a UCS set! For those people counting parts, keep in mind the original was built almost entirely out of bricks, whereas the new lego style leans heavily on plates. If they kept the exact same dimensions as the old one, I'd still expect the part count to jump up significantly. And put me in the column that hopes for a Lars Homestead, or at the very least a Beru to compliment the Owen from the last one (though since Beru wasn't present at the droid purchase, the homestead seems the only reasonable way we would get her). Tuskens would be cool, but I'd prefer a never-released figure over a rehash. Considering that $299 is $50 more than the ginormous Ewok village, I don't think a homestead is out of the question. Just please don't waste parts giving us another landspeeder! Quote
donbarca Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 now i got my hands on the utapau battle pack as they were released today... holy shi.!!!!! those airbourne troopers look cool!!!!!!!! still not thrilled about those new blasters. and i dont think they work for their purpose even as surprised i was that they, angled in the right position do fire kind of ok. for looks and coolness the old ones are so much better!!!! Saint Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Well, the romours are no more... the sets are hitting the store's !!!! I went to a local store here in Breda and they had ( had, because I bought them all ) the 75034, 75035, 75037 , 75038, 75039 and the75042. Sadly they did't have the rest, so that has to wait. My first thought on the 75035 was that the Kashyyyk scout's vizor are to high, but what great fig's !!!! The 75034 is méh , the cannon , again with flick-fire missles , sucks and the royal guard lets dow royaly.... the cape is great, the arms are dark red !! whaaaaa no way !! they should be normal red guys !! The gunner is great and makes the set for me !! They've got HELMETS !!!! I thought they had a stick on head/helmet, but to my suprise , heads and helmets, and to make things even better, they both have a different face !! The new blasters are 2 parts, and promise a lot of potential in modding of sorts, I think I'm going for a RPG with them ! Grtz Saint Quote

Saint Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Sadly for you , nothing.. I don't have a camera at hand, and do not have the skills to make a very good review, I'll ask a friend of mine, perhaps he can be pesuaded to make a review with pictures. Quote

I went to a (sorta) local Intertoys here in the Netherlands aswell, and they had most of the sets. Sadly didn't get any of them, as I'm a college student and can't afford it Still great to see some RotS sets on the shelfs though Quote
donbarca Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 yo!!!! can you enter the set numbers on lego.com/productfeedback???? i can not:) Quote
Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 So excited to hear the new sets are hitting stores. The anticipation is almost unbearable but they'll be here soon enough though. Then the army building will begin. Quote
Chills Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 (edited) Regarding the UCS Sandcrawler rumor. Sweet! I hope this is true, I missed out on the first one and would love to have one for my collection. I competely concur with having updated Jawas and Tusken Raiders. I also hope a Lars Homestead is included. There are so many possibilities here. And think of all of the droids we could get, too. Someone mentioned TLG using plates lately, and I've noticed that trend, too. I really hope we get a decent amount of brings if the UCS Sandcrawler does some out. That would make the build so much more enjoyable. Edited December 12, 2013 by Chills Quote

I really hope we get a decent amount of brings if the UCS Sandcrawler does some out. That would make the build so much more enjoyable. That was me. I'm sure there will be a decent number of bricks in the build, but if you look at the old Sandcrawler, it was almost entirely bricks, with very little greebling other than a few modified 1x2 bricks and some headlight bricks. That Sandcrawler looks much closer to the old style blocky sets like the original Slave 1 or the Twin Pod Cloud Car rather than the sleeker stuff that would hit a few years later. I'm sure that Lego would take advantage of various SNOT and plate techniques in a newer model, which will inevitably bump the part count up even if it doesn't change the size of the model. Quote
just2good Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 According to Huw, the Sandcrawler set isn't UCS and will be a regular retail set. That's odd. We don't usually get $300 sets in retail. Personally, I think it will be a D2C set but not UCS. So, I think it will be available only at LEGO Brand Stores/S@H. I guess... Only time will tell. Quote
Robert_88 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 (edited) That explains the 75XXX number. But a set for 299 is more or less UCS. Edited December 12, 2013 by Robert_88 Quote

I'd refrain from "I told you so" comments before the official TLG confirmation, but everything on brickset forums pointed very strongly towards the Sandcrawler being the May release. Considering the price point, my money is on Ewok Village-type playset with plenty of minifigs, somehow, that's the only way I can imagine it. It just doesn't lend itself too much to a display Well, as I said before, I am not a big fan of the vehicle, but I do sincerely hope for those of you enthused by this news, that it will have a nice interior and resemble more to Marshall Banana's model than to 10144 Quote
Robianco Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I think a good Sandcrawler with the droid lineup... jawas... Luke, Owen, Aunt Beru, hopefully a worn looking R2 and 3PO would be a pretty good display... especially with a homestead to go next to it. The Royal Guard's arms really should be dark red as they are in the movies. If anything they should be entirely dark red with a front and back cape / cloak in red along with the red helmet. Quote
Something_Awesome Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 AT-AT Walker system set please. Quote
Laservampire Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Let's hope that along with the sandcrawler there are a ton more Episode IV sets! Quote

Freddy Bricker Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Oh thank god (someone?) that the sandcrawler won't be UCS. That still leaves room for cloud city! Ugh but that also leaves room for an AT-AT which we got 3 years ago, it can wait to be remade, in contrast to cloud city which hasn't been on shelves since what, 2003? 2005? Quote

legolandia Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 If that's the case, then I would pass. For a few dollars more, you can get the BP w/ 3 more minifigs and a comparable small vehicle. However dont forget that it is very likely that the microsets will have a unique version of their minifigure (i.e. it will be slightly different from the same character in another set). Most of the planets series did. Quote
