ok well eurobricks needs to do a underground month why? underground lines have done so match firsts it time for eurobricks to have a underground month. Underground lines have awesome story's and one of the best Lego videogames and sets come form underground lines, even if there are no underground lines out sice 2012 eurobricks can sill do a underground month there are no reason not to and also no tolling please fans of power miners and rock raiders show ur love for the Lego underground lines and get ourselves a...................underground month!

I disagree that underground themes have had the best stories, and Power Miners was the only one to have really decent sets. Only Rock Raiders had a video game, and while neat in concept, in execution it was a buggy, nigh-unplayable mess.

While I was a fan of both Rock Raiders and Power Miners (for different reasons), the fact that Lego has had only two underground themes and has none ongoing means that a month devoted to them would probably be overkill. I don't think there'd be enough interest to get much turnout for contests, and prizes would probably be harder for the staff to acquire than they would be for an ongoing theme.

But if you want to spur more discussion of underground themes, you're always free to post your own MOCs or reviews.

Outside of the action figures forums there is 0% interest in hero factory month so did"t go saying that underground month don"t have any interest and plus you sound like the m$ fanboys that took over halo waypoint(sorry hero factory fans) and maybe we could have "underground week" if eurobricks con"t do underground month(which wood make me very sad )

and talking of themes that have no interest there was a fabuland month so.........................why can"t eurobricks do a underground month? fabuland fans are a very sall part of the lego fanbase and power miner and rock raider fans are some-what big part of the lego fan base which are a LOT biger them fabuland fans and there got a month so why can"t underground(power miner and rock raider) fans get a month?

I think it's a great Idea, I loved the Rock Raiders theme but there are way too few mocs in the genre.

as it is now, more people are forgetting about rock raiders and power miners every year which is sad, thats why eurobricks needs to do a underground month. Power miners and rock raiders are some if the best lines Lego ever made so that's why eurobricks needs to do a underground month! and there are way to few underground mocs( I seen 4 on eurobricks) we need more and if eurobricks dos a underground month more people will do underground mocs as a outcome of underground month

no rock raiders was a sci-fi-underground line(I am a big sci-fi fan so I know what talking about dos that make me a geek? ) and power miners were the best line Lego made in 3 years some lines are no then copies of power miners in a "new" setting and I loved power miners its nice to find somebody else likes power miners

There isn't enough going on with those themes to really support anything that lasts a whole month, nor is there a potential for a new underground themed series of sets to support a dedicated month.

Maybe a building drive instead, at a later date.

As for Fabuland? It has a very dedicated following amongst some exceedingly talented builders and an aesthetic that captures the imagination of those who come to it at a later date, at least here on Eurobricks. As such it has the foundation for a month.

I don't know if Eurobricks has ever had a themed week before... but I think Peppermint M had a good idea when she suggested a building drive. I'm sure that would bring out some nice looking MOCs, and the turnout could be a good gauge of how much interest in "underground building" there is here on Eurobricks, in case they want to consider an underground month in the future.

well a that's a very good idea and if eurobricks have"t tried it a themed week then underground week wood be a very good test to see if it wood work. and a building drive wood be a good test to see if there interest(which there are a ton of interst in a underground lines)but it wood be a good test

I actually think that this isn't a bad idea for an event. If a themed month doesn't work out, than you could just start your own contest. Well, I think you can, but I don't know if there are any restrictions on who can host contests. If the admins like it, than they could put the contest on the frontpage.

Even if the whole theme of underground things isn't popular, I would appreciate the idea more for the opportunity for people to learn a new building style for caves, more building techniques, and photography techniques to make scenes appear enclosed. Many creators who are not used to making a roof covering the entire displays, or even geo-modelling in general would get to try something new.

If you were to make an underground contest that would include people that don't normally build within this theme, then there should be at least two categories; The first one for more straight examples (mining, action, exploration), and a second more-flexible category focused on underground living (underground villages, cave dwellings, other civilian structures). The first category would be targeted at the true fans of these themes, while the second category would be for people more used to building other types of creations.

There is currently a mining sub-theme of Lego City. One of those might work, but City is quite <insert that tiresome argument>, so a gift certificate would probably be better. However, I don't think that every MOC contest really needs prizes.

Like I said above, the contest could have decent turnout if the rules are kept flexible in (at least part of) the contest. The MOC's don't wouldn't have to be just action and mining, but also civilian things like underground residential areas. The fun for outsiders would be more about trying to build withing enclosed caves then the mining theme seen in Lego sets.

And about that first sentence, I don't think that the quality of the official sets has much effect on the MOCs (as long as the right pieces are provided), but the good concept certainly helps.

Good idea. I think that I missed out on getting one of those sets before the were discontinued, but the appear pretty good for the most part.

well liamM32 underground month ideas is went I wanted for underground month to be like but sice I have bad selling skills I con"t get there out there so thank you liamM32 , and liamM32 you missed out on one of the best Lego lines scier classic space, there is tons of interest in underground lines just waiting to be found
