Chuck Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Here on Ebay. The 5 models are: US Coastguard Ship A Sail-Powered Catamaran A Lighthouse A Red Harbor A Sailboat These are ACTUAL retired Lego Models from the ACTUAL Miniland model of New England from California. These are once in a lifetime offers, so If you want one I suggest you try and buy it. Mind you, they are Miniland scaled and are GLUED. -l2k-
Starwars4J Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Nice, but besides being glued, the parts are likely to be somewhat worn from being exposed to the elements for so long, and the price through the roof *wacko* Nice find though
exo attack Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Nice find, but I agree with J4. I am suprised they are not yellowed...
Grrr Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 You will find that glueing will assist with water blasting models from time to time - which helps against the yellowing. Those models are most definately yellowed though - have a look at the boats.
gylman Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 Interestingly, Legoland California is putting some of those miniland sets we have all admired up for sale: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZlegolandcaliforniaQQhtZ-1 I'd love to buy some, except: 1) most are too big 2) I suspect most of them look like hell up close due to weathering Still, first time I've seen that. Kinda cool edit: here are direct links, since they won't be visible from the seller's "current auctions" once auction is over: http://cgi.ebay.com/LEGO-Model-of-U-S-Coas...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/LEGO-Model-of-Sail-Pow...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/LEGO-Model-of-Lighthou...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/LEGO-Model-Red-Harbor-...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/LEGO-Model-of-Sailboat...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/LEGO-Model-of-Miniland...1QQcmdZViewItem (ouch, that one looks beaten up) http://cgi.ebay.com/LEGO-Model-of-Miniland...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/LEGO-Model-of-the-tall...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/LEGO-Model-of-Miniland...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/LEGO-Model-of-Zim-Cant...bayphotohosting
Hobbes Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 wasent this already posted 8-| Welcome to EB. I like your user name - if you mean it, that is ;-) Also, it'd be nice if you introduced yourself before pointing out a probable dupe in your first post (even though you're right) ;-) I'll merge the threads.
El Bucanero Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 If those were minifig scale... I'd fell in love. *wub* Too bad I have no money left... Mr Tiber
Scouty Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 It's a shame they're getting rid of New England for Las Vegas. Boy these are at steep prices! But for a good cause! (70% goes to a charity!)
