We only burn the ones who have Gold or precious items, and then we retire to enjoy our other...hobbies, you might say, such as the art of cooking fine men and the impressionistic style of destroying things." Chromeknight Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 (edited) Nerwen looked around to see Arthur and the others run up. Sir Kadarphazân, as a paragon, I am sure you use your initiative to hold them off whilst we use an item if we need to. Does anyone feel unready for the battle? Also, I understand that Sir Kadarphazân occasionally calls a truce in the middle of the battle. Do no be surprised if your target takes a break. I will organise our order of battle after more people have spoken up. Nerwen is not carrying the handbag, she is not immune to water (not that it matters any in this battle). who has control of the NPCs? I know some QMs retain control, others hand them over. if the latter. Zepher has control of Sir Kadarphazân and Chromeknight has control of the elves also, for the purposes of Nerwen's special guard is the spearpog's special equivalent to the afraid effect (except wtih a 1 round counter) or is it not an effect? Edited September 18, 2013 by Chromeknight Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 18, 2013 Author Posted September 18, 2013 QM Note: Actually, Kadarphazân as a Paragon has Initiative, which will let each of you use a consumable for free at the beginning of each battle. Ah, I forgot to assign control. I've been assigning control and Party Leader if necessary at the beginnings of battles and taking it away at the ends since the party members can split up as much and as often as they like. Your setup makes sense; I'll fix that. ...and fixed, though I gave control of Elerylian to Flipz to even things out. You had more interaction with Saeavel so, between the two elven NPCs, you got control over her. Quote
Chromeknight Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Nerwen notes the elven rogue moving beside her as the knight steps smoothly in front of the darkness channelling Sorcerer. Since there are six of us and only five of them, perhaps you two elves should take a target together. I suggest one of those swordspogs. Post above edited to include trait names and to ask another question. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 18, 2013 Author Posted September 18, 2013 QM Note: It has the same effect, but I don't want to call it the Afraid-effect since it's based on a physical change and not a psychological one — I am, however, fine with going back to using the Knockback-effect term, so, yes, Special Guard would protect you. I'll edit the Special to reflect this. Just to make sure we're all on the same page, Initiative takes place at the beginning of the battle, not in the first Round, so if you plan to use a consumable, you should submit both that action and your Round One action(s). Zepher Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 "I can handle two of them if you let me act first," says Boomingham with a solid grin. "Kadarphazân, let's see if you and I can't cut their Leader down to size. Follow my lead." Boomingham steps forward and takes a swing. OoC: You can leave one of the Swordsmen untargetted for me to counterstrike, Chromeknight; its more efficient that way. Quote
Flipz Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 (edited) "Lady Nerwen, if you put Lord Boomingham first in the Order and myself second, we could counter both of the swordsmen (though if we go with that plan, I'd appreciate if you could make the Spearman Fragile instead of the Crossbowman). To that end, Master Elerylian, you and your fellow compatriot ought to strike the Spearman from the Back Row--though if Lady Nerwen chooses not to put me first or second in the order, you should instead take Swordsman B from the Back Row." "For Triad!" he roars. Edited September 18, 2013 by Flipz Quote
Chromeknight Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Of course Lord Boomingham. I should have remembered. Sir Cronk also favored turning enemies attacks back upon themselves. And yes, Arthur, that plan is sensible. Nerwen's fingers flicked quickly in the direction of the Elven rogue. Saeavel nodded as she saw the signs for spear-enemy, stay back and elf-blade. Battle order Boomingham - leader, scupperer >Arthur - crossbow, darkness(rodrick's sword)(enchant shield) Kadarphazân - leader, longsword >Nerwen - spearman, fragile scroll >Elerylian - spearman, Elven blade >Saeavel - spearman, Elven blade Nerwen - spearman, magical staff Free hits Swordsman A - Boomingham Swordsman B - Arthur Quote

Flipz Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 (edited) OOC: For future reference, the Scroll action has to border the ordinary action. Also, I think our Paragon (sorry, Doc, I just can't spell his name ) should go at the end of the Order, just to make sure we don't shoot ourselves in the foot again. "Again!" Eleryian also repeats.
