Chromeknight Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Nerwen's eyes narrow meeting another 'Lord'. 'Quel andune, Baelanith. I am Nerwen Calmcacil, Cala'quessir of the White Towers, Shaman of Heroica. Word has reached our organisation of the state of this town and we have come to set things in order. Please tell me, who leads the elves here and where might we find them? Quote
Flipz Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Distancing himself from the others, Arthur moves to speak with the Black Knight wearing an unusual mask. He nods in greeting. "How's it going?" Quote
Zepher Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Boomingham follows the group silently through the town, glancing around. When they arrive at the tavern he makes his way immediately to the bar. "What have you got?" he asks gruffly. He looks out among the patrons and spies the man with long hair. "Resident? Any suggestions as to what's good? I've got quite a thirst." Barty, as he often does in new questionable areas, remains hidden. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 1, 2013 Author Posted August 1, 2013 "Lady Calaryl resides in the Hall of R'kilf." "Urrrr'- As well as can be expected in this city. I get hired to take some of the more foolish merchants through the city. It's not a pleasant experience." "Not a resident. Sir Bur'dazgar, at your service. I'm on Uland with some of my fellow Knights of Patuqun on business." Quote
Sandy Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Ellaria walks to the bar, and orders some herbal tea from the bartender. "I hear things are a little crazy in this city, wouldn't you agree? Who do you think is winning over?" she asks the bartender with a wink. Quote
Wedge09 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Alexander heards the answer from the elf and speaks with Nerwen not too loud "I think we have to meet this Lady if we want to proceed in our task. The elves are one of the strongest factions in Bric'lin." Quote
Duvors Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 (edited) Throlar turns to lord Belanith. "Ah! Hello my name is ambassador Throlar Wineghilm of... forgive me, I'm not allowed to tell, well anyway how are you?" Throlar grips the elven lords hand. "The awe-inspiring culture of the elves eh?" said Throlar still holding the elves hand. Suddenly the diplomats eyes narrowed and his grip tightened to such an extent that it was impossible for Belanith to extricate his hand. "It seems a strange culture to me, one that inspires awe and yet lets the walls of a town under its protection fall into disrepair and apparently does nothing about raiders and bandits in said town, but indeed lets them run riot, one might think there was some sort of agreement between them." "What is more, I don't really see how one can experience the culture of the elves in a town where from what I can tell nothing was built by elves, the only reason it is elven is because of an elven occupation, and the only elves here are the garrison eh?" It was at this point that several people said they heard a noise like fingerbones snapping. Edited August 1, 2013 by Lord Duvors Quote

It was at this point that several people said they heard a noise like fingerbones snapping. The dwarf's tone causes Arthur to turn around and examine the situation over his shoulder. He grimaces, but keeps himself unassociated with Throlar or the other Heroes. He turns back to his companion. "Heroican, by the looks of him. Some of their lot 've been decent to me, but some of them..." he points his thumb over his shoulder towards the dwarf. "What do you think? Should we get involved, or d'you think the elf can handle himself?" Edited August 1, 2013 by Flipz Quote
Zepher Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Boomingham laughs at the little dwarf as he gets a mug of liquid from the bar. "Very dramatic," he says to Sir Bur'dazgar. "Can't say that I know the knight of Padaqun. What sort of business are you engaged in?" Quote
Chromeknight Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Nerwen nods at Alexander's words, watching the dwarvish ambassador engage with the elf Yes, though I hope they are not like this one. Brickdoctor Posted August 2, 2013 Author Posted August 2, 2013 Ellaria walks to the bar, and orders some herbal tea from the bartender. "I hear things are a little crazy in this city, wouldn't you agree? Who do you think is winning over?" she asks the bartender with a wink. The bartender fills a cup with a pinch of herbs and some lukewarm water, and slides the decidedly unappealing beverage to you. "Do not pay me for this. It is not worth 1 Gold, even in this forsaken town." "I'm sorry, but my selection of drinks is considerably lacking, with the Pongcanae driving my sources away and even raiding this tavern from time to time." Mead - Grants the Encouraged effect, doubling the target's attack Power for the duration of one battle. 30 Gold Mulled Wine - Grants the Inspired effect, doubling the target's current and maximum Health for the duration of one battle. 100 Gold "I don't think anyone is winning. But if this situation remains as it is, the Pongcanae will emerge the victors, as their goal seems to be to plunder the village, not to control it." "Aye. With the Pogs raiding, it can't be an easy task. 'Course, they can't be the only threat in town, am I right? What other sorts of difficulties do they end up facing?" he asks diplomatically. "Not many, actually, urrr'-. The elves welcome the merchants to their 'glorious city', and the Mopag don't care." Boomingham laughs at the little dwarf as he gets a mug of liquid from the bar. "Very dramatic," he says to Sir Bur'dazgar. "Can't say that I know the knight of Padaqun. What sort of business are you engaged in?" "My captain was sent here to speak to one of our contacts on Uland." She turns to the bartender and asks How is business? Do you see many people in here? Who is important in town? "I see a small number of individuals; I'm sure that, as owner of a tavern, I have faired better than other market owners here. "Lady Calaryl is the leader of the elves, some of which frequent this 'establishment of their resplendant domain', and never pay what their drinks are worth. Warlord Kaherdin leads the Mopag, and I never see any of them; they seem to be concerned only with their own goals and live only with what provisions they brought with them. There are a good amount of citizens who continue to come here but are careful never to congregate when the elves are here. There's been talk of a...resistance movement." Quote
Chromeknight Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Nerwen replies quietly Thank you for your trust in me, even though I also am an elf. Though not as you can see, a brobric. Do you have rooms to rent here? It is likely we will need somewhere to sleep and it may be prudent having a settled place to work from. Quote

"Heh, even if you were a Brobric Elf, I might still let you know of the rumors of a resistance movement, as much to make you doubt as to trade information for my own safety. "I do not have rooms to rent. You might try the R'kilf Inn, though. That building is built like a fortress and they're advertising safety through the night...for a price of course." "Mm. I'm just a little curious is all. Who is your contact on Uland? What exactly do you do?" Boomingham sips at his tea. He glances over at Arthur and smiles slightly, making sure his voice is overheard. "That dwarf seems like a trouble maker. Reminds me of a person or two I've had to command myself. I'm sure his wiser elders will reprimand him shortly after." Boomingham's hand rests on Scupperer.
