nnamhcab Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 so i've been reading around on the forums trying to find a design plan for a simple lightweight rally-ish car and i decided to just try it myself i just finished tonight and ill have pictures uploaded soon if there are any other topics that meet these criteria post them below thanks Quote
DLuders Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 I always liked Jurgen Krooshoop's Small RC Yellow Racecar and Small RC Red Racecar: Quote
nnamhcab Posted July 22, 2013 Author Posted July 22, 2013 not bad the only problem is that they need to be driven by power functions i'm new to technic and don't have any old rc or buggy motors Quote
D3K Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 The yellow one is driven by one pf-xl motor, and steered by one pf-m. When I built it, I managed to fit in a servo instead, without too heavy modifications. Quote
nnamhcab Posted July 22, 2013 Author Posted July 22, 2013 ok sweet whats the gearing like because im looking to find the perfect ratio for decent speed but still good torques Quote
MrNumbskull13 Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 ok sweet whats the gearing like because im looking to find the perfect ratio for decent speed but still good torques I just took apart (about 2 hours ago) my mini RC Buggy! It was geared 1:1 powered by an XL Motor and it worked really well with a decent amount of torque! Quote
