So I'm going to Florida tomorrow night and want some advice on what to do, where to go and regarding LEGO like exclusives and what sells what. Thanks, TT.

DisneyWorld and the new LegoLand are definitely a must; there's also a Lego store in Downtown Disney if you're planning on going to the park.

South Florida is the place for cool LEGO fans. :purrr:

If you're going to South Florida, that's my turf, and I know all the cool LEGO places. I doubt you are, though. :sadnew:

I'm in Orlando for 2 weeks. I am of course going to LL and the DD LEGO store. Which themes parks are a MUST?

Busch Gardens is a nice place, but it's an hour from Orlando in Tampa. Sea World has good food.

Last time I went to Disneyworld, Animal Kingdom was the best theme park. It has Expedition Everest!

Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom were my two favourites; definitely visit them all if you have time (which you should be able to for 2 weeks).

How about EPCOT? That is my favorite.

Animal Kingdom is my least favorite, I don't know why. I've been to EPCOT the most, MGM is great for movie lovers, and Disney World is awesome too. EPCOT has some awesome around the world food.

EPCOT is sort of interesting, but very tame.

The Hollywood-type theme park has a crazy-fast Aerosmith roller coaster and a Twilight Zone drop tower. That's worth a visit if you like.

The Jurassic Park ride at Animal Kingdom is really fun as well.

That's at Islands of Adventure (Universal). Unless you mean the Dinosaur ride at Animal Kingdom.

Isn't there a new Harry Potter theme park in Orlando somewhere? I've never been, but I will definitely make it out to that sometime.

Dinosaurs and Jeeps, it's all the same to me.

Yep, in Island of Adventure. Great place, I like it more than Universal.

I been to Florida seven times on vacation but never made it off Disney property there is so much to do. Downtown disney is a must and does not require park admission.

My next favorite is the Magic Kingdom followed by Epcot, disney studios and animal kingdom . There are also 2 waterparks, two mini golf places and several championship golf courses plus the Richard Petty driving experience.

If you dont have kids or your kids are over thirteen you may not be able to go to Legoland in the US. Call ahead to Check for AFOL nights.

I'm going with my family so It'll be fine as there is a 4 year old in our group. Thanks for replies!!!

Yep, defiantly hit the lego store in downtown Disney. They have a pretty good pick a brick selection and usual have pretty much ever set in a line. Plus minifig packs, displays, sales.......

Edited by Im a brickmaster.

Avoid Animal Kingdom in July is my advice.

Universal is in my opinion better than Disney, but if you are headed there anyway, I think Epcot's the best park. The statues at the Downtown Disney store are awesome, but don't bother shopping there other than for the Pick-A-Brick, it's packed the majority of the time. LEGOLAND has a wider variety of stuff anyway, and plenty of hard to find stuff as well as exclusives. Hope this helps.

Haha I'm in Orlando now and I was just at the LEGO Store yesterday.

Great place. They're out of BTTF sets though.

If you're interested in aerospace, definitely check out the Kennedy Space Centre!
