This doesn't look like a Soccerkid build AT ALL :sarcasm_smug:

Yeah, SK, you've certainly been able to arrive at your own building style, and that is pretty awesome.

For me, your windows here are a great takeaway - I like how you've added the bars as they seem more realistic than a whole bunch of big holes in the castle walls. I was to make one suggestion, it would be that the Mitgardian colors ought to be flying from the high tower not half hidden in the location they're at now.

The images with the interior on your web page are the best! You should include them to here. My favourite is the small chapel. Do you have a map, where those rooms are within the castle? I couldn't figure it out :) And making the main tower so that it can be opened was a great idea!

Very cool! You managed to cram a lot of detail into a small space. The hinged interior is really cool, reminds me a bit of the buildings from the Medievail Market Village.

Thanks jFox :classic:

Thank you :sweet: I usually spend a lot of time on windows in my builds, just fiddling around with different designs until I get one I like. As for the flag, I almost put it at the top, but that adds quite a bit of height to the build which can make it trickier to fit in my backdrop :classic:

noice :sweet:

Thanks legonardo!

Now thay is genius. Making it so that it can open up is a great concept.

Thank you, I'm definitely not the first to do it

Glad you noticed the other interiors. Here's a brief description of the room layout: the left tower contains the armory; the right tower contains the storage room; the building behind the right tower contains the dining room on the first floor and the chapel on the second :classic:

Great work, making it modular was a great idea, and all the details are excellent! Really nice interior too!

Thanks, most of my buildings are modular, but adding opening parts makes it much more playable albeit more difficult to design :classic:

Ah, yes what I meant was opening parts.

Ah, yes what I meant was opening parts.

Ah, that makes sense. I think I'm going to try and do this with a lot of my future builds, making the castle lift off the baseplate makes things much simpler :classic:

I love it! Your a master builder. This is simply gorgeous. Keep these coming.

Thanks Captain :sweet: I have some more planned that should be similar

I agree that there are not enough hinged castles being built out there. IMO, that is one of the best features that LEGO has employed in their castles. This is a beautiful build SK! I like the doors and windows, as well as the use of the technic 1x2 brick and the hinged (is it actually connected) trapdoor at the top. You've packed a ton into this build, and it is all very well detailed. Excellent work!

Thanks rogueang! The trapdoors do work, I've pretty much made that my standard design for trapdoors :classic:

Very nice! Love all the ornamentation and details on the windows. And above all the playability(not that I play with my mocs  )! One thing that could be better in your future castles, the walls should by slightly higher

Thanks Ecc! I'll keep your advice in mind for the next castle. The reason they were so low for this one was because of the small footprint: I thought making them higher might make the castle look overcrowded.

Definitely will keep higher walls in mind for the next one though :classic:

A fitting residence for a Prime Minister.... you got my vote just for that

Thanks Masa, I needed someone to live in the castle and as I had recently finished my PM candidate I figured he'd be as good as any :classic:
