This is something I built a few months ago when I got inspiration from the lego Ideas book, I added the snow to make it more Mitgardian

This guards a hidden Mt. pass to protect Mitgardia from those who know of it.

Very cool build  I like the snow section and the Mitgardian flags  de Gothia has some good suggestions, maybe you could also add a path where the snow is lower or has been cleared off.

Great to have you in Mitgardia, looking forward to your future builds :classic:

Looks promising. It would benífit greatly with some walls attached to it.

Also try to cover the background or edit it so you don´t see your lawn! ;)

Sorry about that, but I don't really know how to edit the picture so If you could tell me how that would be great. Also that is great advice, I will try to do something with that.

I use GIMP to edit my background. First I use a white background and then it´s really easy to edit the background, There are many tutorials on youtube showing how to remove the background. Oh, and Gimp is free! ;)

Gimp is also my editor of choice. If your build has a lot of white though, a different color background might be better. Try tan, brown or green.

When I have had a lot of white I ofter times use green or gray sheetrock or something to cover up the lawn.

I like it, but you should try adding walls to make it less of a facade, and more of a building.

I just added walls after seeing de gothia's post.

They were taken and modified from the Lego castle set.

I added the walls as many of you had wanted me to do, so If you want to see that I replaced the other photo.

Good to have a context for the gate.

The gatehouse itself is ok (could maybe have had more uniformity in the colors, hurts my eyes a bit  ) but what I really like in this build is the snowscape, it really feels like the snow has drifted up towards the wall.

Looks like you have it in you to become a great builder of the snowy Mitgardia!

I would really like to make it a solid color but I don't have enough of one color. I intend to go to pick a brick in mall of America eventually this year or next.

Sounds like a good plan! I am definitely envious of you in America who have a PaB wall just about everywhere

I just wish they were closer to where I live, it's about 45 min to the mall of American from lake Elmo.

45 min is still what I would consider next door

But I'm happy for you, just keep GoH in mind when you are expanding your collection and I'm sure we will see more good Mitgardian builds from you!

I would LOVE to live 45 minutes way from Mall of America, that's a walk in the park for many American adults with work commutes and such. Also, check out BrickLink if you can for buying up bulk LEGO.

My parents are always busy so 45min would take too long in their schedule's.
