This is a castle I built for the Legends of Brickdom Group on Flickr. It's a castle for my character. The Base is 96x64 studs.

Its a seaside castle on top of a rock hill.

I displayed this castle at Brickworld in Chicago back in June and recently at Brickfete in Toronto where I won the Castle contest run by Lego and the prize for that was the entire 2013 castle set line! It was posted on the Lego community team blog here: http://ceeteamblog.com/

The scale is impressive. The angles used is neat. I like the furthest left building the most. I need to look at those windows a little closer.

Great stone ground in the courtyard. I love the mix of round tiles and plates. I hadn't considered doing that before, but I definitely will now whenever I finish my castle.

Keep up the great work!

Which windows the cross or the tall ones?

the cross ones are made using MInifigure legs and the tall ones are made using turn table bases.

This is great! A million little details that I need to spend time with, but I will hi light the wooden arches on the keep. Very cool idea.

Is there an interior to any of the structures?

It was the turntable windows. I liked the effect it gave. It would work well for stained glass windows also. That is something I am planning on doing with a Modular I am building.

Fantastic build and the detail is awesome. I particularly love the way you have done the beach and the water close into the beach. The dark tan tiles/plates and the trans clear/light blue rounds give it such a realistic look!

And the castle itself is very impressive! Very many excellent details

Well done and happy building

Lovely castle  The landscaping sets it off nicely, the wonderful waves, the cliffs, and the road give a nice contrast

The angled section was incorporated well and I like the tudor building. Congrats on your win :classic:

Very realistic and loads of clever building techniques. Nice!

It looks like there's a Brick Arms sword in there. Are there any other non-Lego parts in your MOC?

Oh that's a picture I took before I had made the entire thing all Lego minifig accessories the rest of the pictures and the way it was done at Brickfete was with all Lego parts to follow the rules of the castle contest.

Basically the Brick World version had third party accessories the Brickfete version had all Lego brand accessories.

I assure you I won the contest following the rules.

I love your castle its very massive. My own castle moc was only on a 64 x 64 baseplate and I dont think I can ever create something so huge and in great detail. The effects of the surf is brilliant. Interesting choice to use stairs for the entrance. I do have two questions . How many bricks did this moc use and how to you even transport this mammoth. Does it break up in sections?

Its completely solid so I had to transport it as one piece which wasn't too hard considering it's pretty strong, and I have no idea how many bricks it took to make.

Really awesome! The wall details are very nice and fit well together. I love the use of angles, towers of various heights and roofing. They all give it a very solid look.

And those waves!

I really admire Your work!, the castle was excellent! Landscape of the territory by the castle is also on the top! Especially I liked the waves lapping on the shore. The only thing I would add, it flags on the towers of the castle.

There actually is a flag it's just cut off in the photos. :sceptic:
