Excellent review and really changed the way I looked at some of these figures. I'm a bit disappointed at the distribution, but there will always be one that you want that only has 2 per case. Not a big deal there. The Tiki Warrior has vaulted to number 1 for me after seeing the pictures of him, it is amazing and will fit in perfect with my old Islanders. Also really like the Scarecrow and will be trying to get a bunch of elves to help out Santa. Will go perfect with our Winter Village theme in December.

I always like to look at these reviews for an in-depth view at what useful parts are available and this one has been very insightful - thanks WhiteFang  . I was especially happy to see that the Scarecrow's hat and crow are separate items :sweet: .

I'm very pleased with this new series, there's lots of pieces I'd be happy to collect multiples of. Series 6 has long been my favourite but I think this beats it.

First of all, thanks for the extensive review.

Are you saying that Series 11 will not be available in Denmark? How true is your source of information? Because I really find it very hard to believe that this is not extended to its own country mates.

Sadly this seems to be affirmed. Stuifzand from the LowLUG forums got it confirmed through LEGO that the Nordic and Benelux region will not have the CMF series 11 available through regular retail except for Shop@Home and LEGO Brand Stores. See

After going back over the review I have to mention that I love seeing the pitchfork back but my favorite new piece may well be the sax! I also love the crow and welder's mask.

Another great review Fangy!

The distribution is indeed disappointing. I don't really army build a lot but I know I have to get two scarecrows. And what is anyone going to do with only one Blues Brother? I hate to take all of a figure at a store. Just doesn't seem right. I can see maybe an army of yetis in a special circumstance but who needs six mountain climbers?

After seeing the pictures, the scarecrow is still my favorite. I love his little button eyes and stitched smile. I hope we get the hat in other colors/prints in the future. Might have fit the jazz musician a little better than the fedora in black.

The gingerbread man's head looks more like an Oreo from the side. Why did they do that? Otherwise an excellent figure.

I'll have to get two constables. Now if they'd only make a criminal with one of those little striped caps...

The grandmother is perfect for what it is.

The welder would have been better if the mask attached to the hockey/football helmet or even a completely new peice.

I'll take a Blues Brother, a Maori warrior or two, a Yeti, a Woman of Science, and three cat ladies. No desire to get any of the others. Personally, I think they're scraping the bottom of the barrel here. I'm sure there's a limited market for mountain climbers and roller waitresses, but did anybody here really want a pink windup robot?

Also, TLG take note please: it's perfectly okay to call your elf a Christmas Elf. As the token Jew I'm here to inform you that elves making or distributing toys for the holidays is not a tradition shared by any other religion. I know your marketing department screamed out loud and told you "no! No! Don't mention Christmas! You'll alienate those other guys with the funny holiday traditions!" but sincerely, we do not want your Christmas elves no matter what you call them. They are not part of our holidays.

Wait, what? "Nordic" does include Finland too, doesn't it?

...I'm gonna go and cry in the corner.

This is only partly true and shows how even Lego employees don't know all the details. For one, in Belgium there is no brand store, BUT, there is a toy store chain named "Dreamland", who most certainly have some sort of agreement with TLG, because they sell Lego exclusives, like Tower Bridge or Fire Brigade, and I am sure will also sell Series 11. So belgians need not worry ;-) As for the other countries, I would suggest calling Lego and ask to be connected to some retail manager, forget the first level support, they don't have the details or knowledge of all distribution channels! If you call Lego and just ask "Where can I buy Lego Exlusives in Belgium", the answer they will give is "Only online through lego, com", which of course is utterly wrong! Hope this helps someone;-)

Yet another excellent review Whitefang! I must say, the Constable, Yeti, and the Tiki Warrior are my overall top 3 favourites. Great review, great series!

PS Did anyone notice that the Constable's unit flash on his collar is "1337"? Not sure if I should like that, or think it to be clever. (It's from some kind of reversed English Internet code)

( I believe JCF Is Jamaican Constabulary Force )

Thanks for another fantastic review, WhiteFang! This is a very good series as most of the figs have at least one rare part, except maybe the Barbarian.

It is now August 1st and Series 11 is nowhere to be found on S@H, so I guess the official release date must be September as previously reported, at least in the US.

Great work WhiteFang – I really appreciate all the work that you put into these reviews! In addition, please give a big thank you to your wife from all of while you focused on this endeavor!

Can you confirm that the Tiki Warrior’s face and Grandma’s basket are the only medium rubber piece of this series? The Diner Waitress’ hair looks like a potential Friend’s Line knock off which are mostly medium rubber.

Does the welding helmet have any transparency at the eye socket? I can’t tell in the photos.

Wow, thank you so much for this incredible review! You clearly worked very hard on this and it shows. I haven't been into the collectable series that much, but that Elf really makes me want to buy dozens of them. Not sure how I would use them in my Pirates collection

Thanks for another informative review. It really helps bring it all together before we plunge into purchasing. This theme is getting pretty lackluster, but I will still pick up a complete set. I won't be as pleased with all of them, but it's tradition. Definitely no army builders here, so I'll get the one for me and the extra for my daughter on a few figures, but won't go too crazy like I did with series 10 Revolutionary Soldiers.

I am definitely unhappy with the distribution numbers. Some figures are worthy of multiples and some are pointless. Most of the 2s are figures I would want more than one of, naturally, so those will be harder to come by. More than likely it means I won't spend as much as I normally do on the series, so I guess that is a win for me. Even though I'd rather spend more and get the number of figures I want.

I think overall the Bavarian is towards the top for favorite. Most of them are just meh with me. I like seeing better female figures though. I love the waitress's face with those glasses. The Blacktron Mech is a neat idea, but it does look like a mash up of Blacktron 1 and 2, which is disappointing. I will probably just get the one for the set and not any extras unfortunately. I am more of a Blacktron 2 fan and they already had a Blacktron 2 villain a number of series ago.

Thanks for another Great review! I was overwhelmed with series 10 but I am underwhelmed by series 11, which will save me some money. I am very impressed with the Barbarian, Yeti and Tiki Warrior, as I expected. The Bavarian girl and the Scarecrow are a pleasant surprise. I am very disappointed with the distribution, but that is apparently the new trend. Thanks Whitefang!

THanks for the superb review. I am actually totally disappointed by the rates of tiki and scarecrows. I have ordered a box, and I will literally throw away welders and mountain climbers...

Feel free to come and throw the mountain climbers away in my bin!

Personally, I'm looking forward to the Elf and Gingerbread man the most, with the mountain climber and scarecrow coming in next, and I may be likely to pick up a yeti if I come across one.

I got so fond of the gingerbread man! The dinner waitress has an awesome hair piece and torso, the tiki warrior is plain AWESOME! and so is that jazz musician!

The rest are fine but those are my must haves!

Fantastic review...as usual! Most helpful as usual!

So good to see more city and town figures because...surprise of surprises...many of us DO NOT build armies....phew! Glad I finally got that off my chest!

Why can't they just make more or less equal numbers of these little buggers in each case? Why should LEGO be telling us which ones we should buy more of by the uneven distribution of figures?

I spent at least four hours fingering Series Ten from unopened boxes just to bring home two measly Trendsetters. My thumbs ached for three friggin days. It us very hard to feel these itsy bitsy pieces when you get older. If there is an eight to ten year old child looking at the packages while I am there, I often bribe them with a free figure if they will help me find what I want. Or I buy a lot and just trade the little buggers to other customers right in the store. I even had to buy some Series Ten figures off eBay to get what I wanted AFTER buying fifty plus in the LEGO store.

COULD WE MAKE THIS A LITTLE MORE DIFFICULT, folks? (Yup, I had to capitalize each if those letters one at a time on my tablet.)

That said, after I figure out which pre- S 11 minifigs to buy at BrickFairVA tomorrow, I can go to bed. At least with a whole lot of luck, I may be able to find a partner for the adorable little old man/gramps I found during my marathon Series Ten buying session!

I'd like to know who thought having six welders and yetis and only two islanders was a smart idea. Islanders is such an army building thing.

The Bavarian Lady and the Tiki Warrior should be 6

Yeti and Scientist - 2

That would make much more sense.
